Crushed samosa and yellow bean fritter, mint, onion, cabbage, masala, tamarind in special bean soup
Fiery Tofu with Vegetables
Stir fry tofu with green bean, basil and bell pepper
Valentine’s Day, but VERY noisy! Yea Leaf salad was good, but not great. Veggie curry was bland. Disappointed, overall.
Good goat.. excellent tea leaf salad
I have tried to eat here for months and they are always super busy and full but after eating here I see why, well worth the wait, had an amazing overall experience, small place but great atmosphere, friendly, prompt service, the food was awesome I had the Shrimp Curry and my sister had the Lamb Kebat both dishes were full of flavor made with really fresh ingredients, portions were generous and reasonably priced, we also had the Fried Bananas for desert and we were not disappointed
Burma Bistro now a favorite place to dine in Santa Clara, a must try, can't wait until the next time!!
Excellent food, tea leaf salad is amazing. Friendly service.
Their samosa soup is really good. The rest of the items are alright.
Food was fine, not exceptional, but for the price it was good.
The food was amazing and the service was amazing. The staff was nice and great to talk to. I will definitely be coming back.
Came here as a group of foodies, and got many compliments for my choice. Thank you, Burma Bistro!
I eat here often! Not fancy, but the food is always great!
Great food and fast service with an excellent variety of food.
Good family gathering. We plan to go back if we are in the area.
Not too many Burmese places in the area, so this one is fine... located in strip mall, seems to be family run. Very friendly and good food, but not outstanding.
So loud! couldn't enjoy the food, which was OK not exceptional
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable, very tasty, authentic flavors.
service is awesome. food is good everything was great.
The food was amazing. Highly recommend this place
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! TOOK my mother here with the family for mother's day because I know Burmese is her favorite and most of us are vegetarian apart from my father but he was able to find something delicious as well. We all order different veggie platters and appetizers to share around the table. Hosts/waiters are outstanding working people. It was packed busy but they attended us regularly . Best service I've had in a packed place for sure! Sweet people . Delicious feast and coconut water in a coconut!! We went at 1pm and were nervous because they close at 2pm but once we ordered our food it came out so fast ! Fast hot and ready to eat . Rainbow salad is fantastic I wouldn't say I'm a picky eater but I sure have had some reservations about certain foods and was on edge for this one but turned out to be one of my favorite dishes . They have a range of flavors from not spicy at all to a little spicy like very very mildly spicy (the rainbow salad ) and steps of spicy to chili spicy but still with so much flavor. I've never eaten Burmese before today . I think it's gonna be a tradition to go at least twice a month ! :)))))
Tea leaf salad was good...but prefer the tea leaf salad at Mandalay in San Francisco. Favorite dish at Burma Bistro was a chicken biryani.
Food was good but not great
Too much bite to the semi cooked onions on our mango chicken
We spent a lot of time shooing fruit flies
Service was kind but slow
Excellent Burmese food, all the way thru to dessert.
I feel like the food was okay, the pad Thai was too sweet. I liked the tea leaf salad out of all the dishes.
The service was excellent, food was good.
Me thinks not
The owner doesn’t care one bit about making people happy or serving you it’s all about money and as a side she will tell your table of 3 that if you pay in cash you will get a free mediocre desert :-(
The owner recommended a shrimp dish that smelled like a horse stall and then when we couldn’t eat it didn’t offer to replace it just stood their awkwardly which made us awkward as we had only had ok soup and really just ok eggplant and paid for a full order of coconut rice because you can’t upgrade the white rice to coconut (more spirit of great service )
Amazing Burmese food. Best in town. Will visit again soon!
Service was prompt and friendly with dishes brought out as they were ready. Good vegetarian options for those who need them.
My work team of 10 people went here for a group lunch. I think only one other person had tried Burmese food before but everyone was very pleased with the meal. There is a wide selection ranging from vegetarian to fowl, meat, and seafood: something for everyone. All of the dishes were at least savory and some were spicy but not uncomfortably so.
The food and services were both good. I especially liked the Tea Leaf Salad and Fish Cake Salad.
My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and was seated promptly. Since Burmese restaurant are rear in the area, we were really looking forward to this experience. While we weren't in a hurry, the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they pushed to have a food order at the same time. We choose to wait to order the food until the drinks were brought to us. We ordered the Burmese style beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces of the meat stews were nice, it wasn't spectacular! The stew meats were definitely not tender. If you enjoy tough meat, then these dishes are for you. Additionally, the Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor and in my colleagues words: "would not order it again". Also, soft drinks and iced tea and refilled complimentary. Given the rush and the below average experience, will not be going back. Given there their great Yelp ratings, there seems to be a lot of patrons that like it. Maybe we just attended them on a bad day or the normal Chef was not present that day...
We enjoyed our meal here very much. We had a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. Even though we all requested different spiciness levels, everything came out exactly as requested. The service was exceptional. We were able to have a conversation without being interrupted, but we never had to wait for service and our water glasses were never empty. We will be going back, and recommending this restaurant to our friends.
Burma Bistro's servers are always kind and attentive!
Our table was ready. Food, portions, and service were OK. Price was right.
We really enjoyed the good here! We will definitely be going back!!!
I went there for a business lunch. I Felt rushed by staff to place food order. I specifically asked for my plate to not be spiced. It was very very spicy. Not ver friendly
good value, bit crowded at lunch time. but service was good. I had spicy tofu with vegetables and it was really good
I read good reviews about this place but ended up very disappointed. The Tea Salad was very sour and my wife ordered fish sauce to make the taste better. I had the Chicken Dau Bauk and the leg was small and very dry. I felt I ate more rice than the chicken, very over priced. This place does not come close to Burma Superstar in SF.
Lovely food and fairly fast. Service is adequate but you're there for the food. Tea leaf salad was a hit as were the onion fritters. Fish curry was very light on curry but still worth ordering
