We are fine-casual dining with a fire at the core of its heart. Through the smoke and whiskey ashes of the previous iteration which closed its doors in 2020 rises a new haze of smoke and whiskey as we bring back this iconic brand, smoked meats, bourbon, beer, deep hues, and various spaces to a new location in the North Loop. Butcher & The Boar will honor its beloved roots, while spreading new ones in the fresh foundation that will help our guests embark on a journey with notes of nostalgia that carry the torch forward with new tastes and experiences.

For the price, the food isn’t all that. Staff are nice. Especially hosts/hostesses. I’d recommend so many other places over this place.

We had dinner to celebrate a business accomplishment and enjoyed every moment we had together. The food was amazing, and we ordered family style so that we could taste different menu items. Everyone enjoyed the food & I will definitely come back.

Service was disjointed and slow and we were the first table seated when they opened. Once we received our food we didn’t really see our server again until we had long finished and were hoping to order a second round of drinks. We ordered the drinks as the server was refilling our waters. We waited so long for our 2nd round that we almost cancelled them but, couldn’t because nobody was as there to tell. I actually had another refill of water and had finished it before the drinks came. I’m telling you it was at least 30 minutes. We planned to ask out server for the tab when he came back with the drinks but, instead a food runner brought our drinks so that plan was foiled. Once we were about halfway through those drinks, and we still had not seen our tab, a member of our party went to the hostess to request our tab. It was clear that other tables were having similar issues. Also, for a meat focused establishment, there was very little bacon and a ridiculous amount of potatoes on my plate. The eggs were delicious, though!
