Fantastic meal and wonderful service. Excellent location and easy to get to… Will definitely return!
We love this restaurant. Everything is delicious. We had a frisée salad with Gorgonzola and two pizzas. I had the truffle cream, sausage and porcini mushroom on gluten free crust. The crust is amazing here. It is so nicely bubbled it does not taste gluten free. My husband had the procutto , artichoke and mushroom. I had a glass of the house Cabernet Reserve. Wonderful as always!
Delicious drinks and amazing flavors in all food options! Delish!
Great fresh food!
This is the place to go if you are looking for authentic northern Italy, Italian food. Our dishes were spot on. Warning: these guys want let you go hungry. For the money a real value. Fun place to go to and service over the top.
WORST restaurant experience I can remember. The food was nothing special. My pasta was really bland, so I asked for parmesan. They REFUSED. The server told us the chef only wants the dishes eaten as served. This is a mediocre, casual, Italian restaurant. It's not the French Laundry. Obviously, this is their response to any requests, since without our asking, the manager then came out to tell us the same thing. I left hungry and angry. No, we will not be back!
This restaurant has a lot of promise. The commitment to authentic Italian food is obvious and delicious (although not allowing extra parmesan cheese is a little precious). The staff are extremely friendly and want to please. But the clear lack of training or someone running the front of the house meant that we had ordered, received and eaten a pizza before our first cocktails came out. In total we waited 25 minutes before receiving a glass of water, which we specifically requested when seated, 45 minutes for any food, and almost an hour for a martini and glass of whiskey. Since all the alcohol served has to be local, a specific drinks menu should be on every table. We ordered our usual and then had to wait another 15 minutes to get the book so we could select a locally produced vodka and whiskey. The pizza was to die for. Authentic, incredibly flavorful and delicious. The pasta with cherry tomatoes was as good as anything we've eaten in Italy, the spaghetti perfectly al dente. The eggplant parmesan was good but not my favorite - all eggplant and very little sauce or cheese and no breading (which I like but it leaves a LOT of eggplant) and no sides. Overall, the clear message is it is about the food and how we cook it and absolutely no accommodations will be made - except leaving something off the plate. For that kind of arrogance, the service needs to be much better trained and managed. They were all trying hard, but didn't know how to operate as a team.
Filthy sticky table. One salad drowning in vinaigrette, the other had mushy tomatoes and wilted basil. Carbonara ‘pizza’ was a hot mess of soggy dough not tasting anything like carbonara. The mussels were very over cooked, rubbery and flavorless. The panna cotta was lumpy and blah. The coffee and cocktails were top notch. Overall the meal was uninspired, poorly executed and did not translate well at all. I’m Italian and spent many years in Italy. If this food were served there, this restaurant would not survive. Soooo many other better options in the area.
Great food after the BottleRock concert. They honored our 10 PM reservation even though the restaurant was technically “closing “at 10 PM, and we arrived 10 minutes late. Great choices on the menu and the food was well prepared and presented. Will definitely go back.
Real authentic southern Italian food fresh and tasty
Great spot that makes amazing wood fired pizza. If your not tearing your slices by hand then your bit eating authentic pizza. Don't miss this spot.
Outstanding food. Excellently prepared with top of the line ingredients.
Rene was a great server! The spaghetti was to die for!
I came with a group of people this past weekend and we thought the food was very good. What we didn't think was so good was the mask wearing of your servers. Please notify and train you staff on the safety of masks that are not worn over the nose. All of us in our group tried to cover our food when the servers came around....of course the servers serve us our food initially with their masks just covering their mouth. So who knows what got on our food???? Not good, not safe, and not in alignment with what is mask safety for everyone. Yes, I would recommend Ca Momi with the caveat that your mask safety needs improvement .....at least for me and the people in our group to return.
The indoor seating was so comfortable! My friends and I came and got drinks and shared several pastas. The server was so friendly and understanding snd patient with us. I made an error with one of my orders and it was not what I had expected it to be snd she was super patient I’m explaining my confusion. They were so nice and willing to help accommodate vegan options and I will absolutely be back. 10/10 service.
When my pasta dish was delayed coming out of the kitchen, the server accepted the blame, falling over herself apologizing for evidently forgetting to put in the order. She also comped some arancini. Encouraging to see the degree of concern by the staff.
Excellent all the way around.
Great time with outstanding service and very good food. Our server was Miranda and she was great.
Had to ask multiple times for things. For one pasta dish, they wouldn't bring grated cheese for the pasta, saying it had to be done in the kitchen, but then they came back saying the chef refused to add the grated cheese because the dish had seafood in it. Perhaps they have forgotten that they are in a service business and it's the customer who is paying for the food! The food was good, but the customer should be able to get what she wants. If one wants a prima donna, one goes to an opera house, not a restaurant with pretensions beyond its quality.
Not quite hitting on all cylinders since reopening. Skip the lasagna, it was bland. The calamarata - needed to sauté the tomatoes longer. Had a bitter after taste. Service was lacking. Charged us for an appetizer we never ordered. Disappointing. We've had great meals and exceptional service there pre-covid.
The food is really delicious. We had osso bucco and pasta and both dishes were fabulous. I had the most delicious gluten free pasta I have ever had. It seriously brought a tear to me eye.
We sat outside so it was a bit noisy with the traffic. Staff was great, food was excellent, a bit pricey but it was worth it . Everything was fresh. The ca Momi cab is delicious and bought a bottle. We parked around the corner, free public parking garage. I will go back.
Great Italian Food ,Relaxed atmosphere , excellent service , laid back place to enjoy a relaxed lunch or dinner.
The food is over salted and subpar. Wouldn’t come back again
Excellent service, many attempts to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Loved the Ventura and Burrata.
Food and staff are always great. Gluten free choices are exceptional!
Just sort of blah - I asked for arugula (no) I asked for rose and got pink champagne - pizza was okay but nothing to write home about
Amazing from start to finish. Also, many Gluten Free options for my husband!! Loved our experience. We will be back next time we are in town.
Amazing calamari pasta with white wine and cherry tomatoes. Wine was delicious - particularly the Elizabeth Spencer Cabernet, although my waiter forgot about it (And me), so I had to get someone else to bring it to me from the bar where it was sitting…lovely energetic spot - I would definitely come back. Just keep your expectations low regarding your service.
The food and cocktails were great. Unfortunately the service was dismal. Seems like they were overwhelmed and didn't have enough sufficiently trained staff.
We love Ca’Momi. They kept us happy w carry out during the lockdown so what a treat to be back inside. The chef/owner is FROM Italy so the food is so authentic. Clean, gorgeous ingredients - margarita pizza is incredible. Highly highly recommended.
Super unhappy with this restaurant. They list many items as gluten free but take no precautions whatsoever for cross contamination. Pizza’s and focaccia (just pizza dough honestly) are cooked directly on the same surface as flour containing items. Also, they refused to make any adjustments to their food items - don’t ask to add a protein to your pasta and don’t ask for shaved Parmesan either.
While we offer some gluten free dishes, we are a facility (pizzeria) that utilizes gluten, and we'd think that a truly gluten-free restaurant might be your best option for safety concerns. We try to do the best we can to accommodate dietary restrictions, but as our menu notes, we don't offer substitutions, and this has to do with our Italian certifications, which means dishes are presented precisely as they would be in Italy/the old world. Thank you for giving us a try. - Ca' Momi.
We dined outdoors at one of the few storefront tables on the street. The pizza and salad were very good. Unfortunately, Napa does not enforce its vehicle noise ordinances and so we were periodically regaled by jacked-up cars blasting so-called music, motorcycles and trucks with no mufflers, etc. The sound levels were not just loud - they were painful. Its too bad that the restaurant is located on such a busy and noisy street. Also, the desert recommended by the waitress ... the Zuppa Inglese ... was stale. When I trust a waitress to recommend a dish, I expect to be guided to the freshest and best, not the stale and barely edible.
The chef was inflexible. Put parmesan cheese on my wife's eggplant but refused to put any on my pizza!
This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. We are Italian, love Italian food, and hadn’t had a good Italian meal in two years. We made the reservation several weeks in advance, and talked all week about how much we were looking forward to it. We studied the impressive menu. When we walked in, we learned that the restaurant had booked a wedding party of 50 people. This is a small restaurant. They then seated us a close as was possible to the large multiple tables reserved for the party. When the wedding guests started coming in, they didn’t sit down at the tables, but instead stood standing in what little open space existed between us and the tables. This went on for 15-20 minutes. Some of them were standing less than a foot from us, and one of them repeatedly banged into us as we tried to eat. None of them was masked despite the county-wide order, and they were all speaking and laughing loudly, spewing droplets into the air. The restaurant could have closed for the private party. They could have seated their other guests like us further from the party. They could have asked the party to sit down. They could have done something to manage the situation. Instead they left us to cope with it ourselves. When my wife asked the person who banged into her to back away, he said “F— you” to us. Apparently he was offended at the idea that he owed the other patrons space and respect. The restaurant made it clear that the wedding party was their priority. We had to leave halfway through our meal. How would you feel if you were dining in a small local restaurant and were suddenly circled by 50 people standing around your table? Would that be acceptable even if there weren’t a pandemic? Imagine being bumped twice by someone, even accidentally, and having that person not acknowledge it? There is not enough room in this restaurant for that kind of event, unless it is closed to others.
Solid!!! Just really good good at a great price point!
Wonderful authentic Italian food! We had a great server and the lasagna and gnocchi were delicious! We also tried the arancine appetizer, it was great! We finished with some delicious espresso!
We started with the spinach salad and flatbread with guanciale. Salad was a decent size portion, enough to split. They are rigid about making modifications to the point that our request for light amount or on the side dressing was declined. The amount of guanciale on the flatbread was minimal and I would not recommend it. Mains were gnocchi and rigatoni with braised oxtail. The latter had very good flavors and was a decent portion size. Gnocchi was fine, if a bit on the bland side, although that could be by intention. Spouse had considered the bass fish filet but did not order because she prefers that fish is cooked through and the server would not state the level of doneness; only that chef said that it would be cooked in the oven for 15 min. Beware of outside tables near the adjacent cigar bar if you don't like the odor. While glad we tried this place, on balance we won't be back.
Hi Brad, We understand your frustration. The waitress should not have denied your request. While we have strict recipes that we follow and will not change, dressing on the side/light is not one of them. We have a good number of new staff, and with a menu as detailed as ours, it's sometimes a challenge for newer servers. We apologize for any oversights that altered your experience with us. Let us know when you plan to revisit and we will ensure you are treated right! Cheers, Ca' Momi"
