Café en Seine
I really like Café en Seine. However, some of your service personnel nowadays are a bit snotty and your dining area is too loud for elegance. You should place a glass divider between your cocktail bar and your fine dining area. I used to go to your place for the atmosphere of La Belle Epoque but now it is gone. You replaced it with contemporary elegance but what is the deal with the hanging plants in your cocktail area? I certainly don’t want a worm or a piece of dust falling into my cocktail. Otherwise, I do love your place still. Thank you! 🌹👌
Gorgeous setup, atmosphere was really good and the food was so nice. So
Had lunch 16th March, Top quality cooking in a really good relaxed atmosphere. Can’t wait to try it for dinner.
Very very over priced. €13 for a mouthful of a cocktail. Service amazing. Food portions very small also
Lovely food. Service was excellent. Vibrant bar.
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff. Only issue was that the drinks took a little while to get to us but food was nice and prompt. Will definitely be returning.
The decor is great. But the food just isn’t all the way there. Our order was messed up and my partner’s meal came with food that wasn’t listed on the menu. He had the grill, I had the pancakes. The pancakes were fine, overall a bit pricey for what you get. Go for drinks, skip the food.
Food very expensive and not that tasty. Nicely refurbished place but would not return to eat.
Lacking atmosphere, staff not friendly
The food was served in inappropriate crockery. I had to ask the waiter for a side plate to put my mussel shells on. Why side plates are removed prior to Main courses being served is a mystery to me. Overall the food was mediocre. The presentation of my starter of beetroot was crude and the beetroot was undercooked - the accompanying goats cheese was minimal. Sea bass was tasty and cooked nicely but on top of a load of mussels and kale just did not work. The wine was unbelievably overpriced.
We had a really great time. Service was exellent. Starter and desert was fab.
The chicken dish was lovely, glad we ordered side orders, as the main course portions were quite small. The fish burger was not enjoyed. Service was EXTREMELY slow, even though there was barely anybody there when we arrived - we were there 1 hour before our main course arrived. Based on slow service it is not somewhere we would recommend or go again for lunch - but the food and and surroundings were lovely.
Staff were very attentive and the decor is beautiful. Unfortunately the quality of food for the price was low and quite small portions (you need to order sides with your main dish). There was a leak in the roof too when I was there. I'd probably recommend going in for drinks but not for food
Great service, amazing staff and beautiful ambience. The fish was a little bit too vinagre. But the appetizers were sensational!
Cafe en Seine was recommended to us by a colleague and I will be making the same recommendation to anyone I know traveling to Dublin... decor is great, like a throwback to the 50’s, staff were really friendly and knowledgable about the dishes on offer (we went for the waiters recommendations and weren’t disappointed) and the food was brilliant... next time we’re in Dublin we’ll definitely pay cafe en Seine another visit!
The Steak dinner was ordered and requested medium rare.Te steak was dry also it was tough. It was a disappointment as a steak is not a complicated meal to get right. The chicken main course was ok.
We were a family group of 6, the service was fantastic, all the staff were friendly, chatting and great to be with. We ordered the burgers and the chicken everybody enjoyed their meal and went away very satisfied . better still the price was very reasonable well done to all at Cafe en Seine
More like a bar than a restaurant. Music was way too loud after ten!
Food and service were very good. I will recommend this restaurant. The dessert (chocolate fondant) was outstanding !
Food was very good, nice decor and some staff friendly and professional but one waiter could do with some people skills - abrupt and unsmiling.
Thank you to our fabulous waitress Yvette in Cafe en Seine. Great food and even better service, we'll be back.
Nice atmosphere for casual meal. A little overpriced for what you get.
Where they have placed the restaurant in Cafe en Seine kind of feels like you are shoved into a corner; all the food we received was on the cold side and just not great. Though that can be forgiven as you don't really go to this type of place for the food. The service was okay, but for the kind of place it is I would expect it to be much better and for the waiters to be more attentive, but I think that is more of a personal preference.
Beautiful setting, good food. Burger was slightly overcooked.... The waitress gave us our food and never checked on us again. I had to go to the bar to ask for ketchup or vinegar for then cold chips. I would recommend sitting on the cocktail bar side, much more welcoming vibe.
The service was very slow and quite inattentive. There was hardly anybody in the dining room hence I wasn’t impressed.
We had a lovely brunch in beautiful surrounding & lovey ambiance. The food & cocktails were delicious.
I’d only go back if service improves! Plenty of staff but no direction. Building is beautiful credit to the designers. But no point in having a fabulous building and customers complaining.
The new rennovations are lovely. I wasnt mad about the food. Service was good and staff were nice too.
Had a great time staff are lovely food was fab thanks so much
Everything was very rushed. One of our party had a gin spilt over her and waiter kinda apologised. I wasn’t finished my gin but glass was taken by girl who brought wine. Our main waiter was good and apologised for drink spillage and taken drink.
Amazing place and service. Food is not worth it. The beef had too much fat and the side dish was poor.
We had a reservation for 20:30 and were only escorted to our table at 20:52. There needs to be a better system in place to manage tables and not make clients wait for 20+mins.
I loved the old Café en Seine since it opened all those decades ago. The new one is probably more age appropriate now (I'm 48). Stunning refurb, relaxing, superb food. I probably wouldn't like it full as I like nowhere full. Will be my city centre afternoon hideout and anyone would be mad not to visit. Gives our boring entertainment capital a bit of class.
Great eatery w lovely crew: Courteous & very eager 2 please & make feel welcome. Moderate pricing & interesting varieties of local offerings & different plating options. Overall a nice, modern spot 2 relax & enjoy delicacies!
From our welcome when we first arrived to when we finished our meal, everything was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their starters, mains and dessert which made for an enjoyable night. Our waiters were very informative and welcoming too. Thank you for making my birthday that little bit special.
Good was amazing. Great atmosphere. When booking online I had requested 3 glasses of Prosecco for our party which was confirmed by the lady who rang me on sat to confirm our reservation however we did not receive this on arrival and I had to ask the waiter for this after awhile. He then brought out only one glass of Prosecco. Overall experience was good. Food is great!
Went here last Saturday evening. Food excellent and was able to share everything tapas style but lots of food so didn’t leave hungry. Very reasonable for the amount of food and drink we had. Service good, atmosphere great. Totally recommended!
the food was great!! the guy who served our table was brilliant and fast!
Staff were friendly, warm and overall very accommodating! Food was amazing and even more enjoyable with their new decor !
Good food, high energy (but not too loud) atmosphere and beautiful decor. The Moroccan lamb for two didn’t disappoint and could easily been share amongst three people. Would definitely recommend.
