Great all around, even when crowded. We had a large party of 10 and we were sat in less than 30 minutes, our server was amazing and the food is great. Burnt Ends are a must try.

The barbecued chicken was stiff and dry! Looked like it had been sitting around for days!! The ribs were good. Our hostess had way too many tables. We saw several tables come and go as we waited for salads, food, ice tea and our check.

We had a good experience but there needs to be something done about fake service animals allowed in the restaurant. What about people with dog allergies? They should at least be put on a certain area of the restaurant.

Calhouns lives up to their reputation as the best ribs in town. My husband and I shared a full rack of the BBQ ribs. Excellent!!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, not overly sweet or smoked. Yum!!

The food was prepared awfully my wife got grilled shrimp and the way overcooked And I heard so much about your ribs I got the ribs and they were burnt and dry so we do have a bad cook that night or somebody's lying

The host staff was wonderful! We were late for our reservation but they still took care of us. The wait staff were efficient and patient. The food was delicious and there was even validated parking in the Calhoun’s Village area. Everything went very smoothly—great experience. Highly recommend!!

We wanted to love this restaurant after reading great things, however we left disappointed. The restaurant was very empty, lots of sections empty and closed and only a handful of tables which was surprising being a Saturday lunch time. Our waitress was subpar, she was nice however didn’t seem to want to refill our drinks, even when asked and she was refilling drinks at our table she’d skip over empty glasses. The appetizers were ok, loaded potato skins were over cooked but the burnet ends were good. It took over an hour to receive our meals though even though others around us were served. Our waitress gave us a discount that helped out but still wasn’t up to expectations. My husband enjoyed his ribs but the pulled pork and chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. The prime rib was also disappointing with half of it being fat. 3/5 and would not go back.

Nice place, good food but otherwise so so. The waiter was very nice but way too long delay, waiting for the basics, then again for appetizers then again for main course. Either not enough kitchen staff / cooks, or not enough waiters or both. Our steaks were good but presented as basic as you imagine, just a steak a a few veggies on the plate. For the price you might expect a little more. Time of the year = highest tourist season may contribute to this. You better make reservations 1 or 2 days in advance.

Only negative was it took a while to receive our food. The server kept checking on us and apologized for the wait. When the food arrived it was cooked to our liking and flavorful. The side salad was fresh and the homemade dressing (made in house) was delicious. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience. Even though I had noted in the reservation we were celebrating a special event nothing was said about it from the server.

We've been eating at Calhoun's when we're in town for the past 8 years. This last experience wasn't anything like it's been in the past. I ordered a steak medium and it came out well done and tough. I was asked if I wanted another one but kept it due to time constraints. Also, the music they were playing was hard rock and very loud. We asked who was in charge of deciding what to play. Our server said, corporate... Next time we're in Gatlinburg, we'll try a new place.

We had a great experience. Food was delicious and timely. Service staff was very friendly. We highly suggest making a reservation online as it saved us lots of waiting time and gave us the ability to enjoy more of our vacation, we were seated as soon as we arrived.

Our lunch Brisket Sandwiches were very good. The beef was favorable and tender. The side of macaroni and cheese was a good portion. The fried green tomato appetizer was good, but a little too much batter for my taste. I battled with the parking procedures: (pay for it online, with accounts being set up, and then paying for it by entering credit card information, just to be given a code at the restaurant to be "credited" during lunch, which was a real hassle.)

We scheduled our visit to celebrate our 40th anniversary and I planned on the prime rib. It was a mistake. It took forever for the waiter to acknowledge our presence and then he started with an attitude. It was obvious we were bothering him. If seemed he was having a bad night but we overlooked it. We ordered drinks, water and an appetizer. A few moments later, we ordered dinner. I ordered the prime rib med rare. It took a while before we got water. Our drinks and salads were delivered after the water, but we didn’t have utensils. The waiter gave us utensils off another table. Our appetizer arrived next along with our food. My prime rib was on bread and I was confused. The waiter asked me to cut into my steak to see if it was med rare. I cut into it and it was well done and not appealing. He said nothing. I asked him to look and he said he could get another but it would take a while. I said it’s ok. I’ll try it. My Husband got the ribeye and it looked great. I didn’t eat my prime rib and felt like crying. When we started to pay, I asked if they serve all of the prime rib on bread, he looked at my plate and said that I got the sandwich. I explained that I didn’t order a sandwich. He said I thought I heard you say sandwich. I said no. He left and found his ticket which had prime rib. He brought it to the table and said the kitchen screwed up. (Remember he said he heard me say sandwich) He charged us for the sandwich that I didn’t eat. I questioned why we should pay for something we didn’t order and he got the manager who said he could have fixed everything if he had known. This was the waiters lack of concern and lack of service that ruined our reservation at Calhoun’s. They did not charge us for the sandwich and brought a desert to make it right. We left a 20% tip because making two wrongs does not make it right and I felt terrible about the evening. Lesson learned: if you sit and are greeted with an attitude, Leave. I do not recommend Calhoun’s.

Funny this is last time we visited Calhoun’s was 2019. We didn’t realise we had already visited this restaurant until we pulled into the parking lot. Going through google restaurants in the area, this one stood out. Our experience last night was just as good as the first time. Definitely recommend their sirloin w/ shrimp, the Atlantic Salmon was a bit over cooked for me, but the flavours were good.
