We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The staff was attentive and polite. The risotto creamy and perfect. Another favorite was the orhrcetti with sausage . and broccolini was simply to die for loved out waiter
The food is amazing and the service is top notch. Emily was attentive yet not intrusive, overall our favorite place for dinner as well as a quick lunch for soup and salad.
Out of the four main courses, two were way too salty. However, the other two entries were great, and so were the appetizers. Good value for your money overall, as long as they take it easy with the salt...
Best new restaurant!
Even valets are awesome
Thank you to John for his great service
Food is fantastic
Phil and Jimmy... thank you for always being so welcoming.
It’s a wonderful experience every time!!
It was a birthday get together for a party of 10. The restaurant was busy but the service and the wait time for everything was way too long. Even if the food Took as long as it did the bus boys and the wait staff were not on task to make sure the water/drinks etc got to the table in a timely fashion. Way too expensive for a lacklustre experience.
Food was so-so and expensive but not comparable to other Italian restaurants. If I pay top dollar, I expect perfection. Not a great value for the money. I would choose another place next time.
Service was wonderful - dinner was great
I’d recommend take out or sitting in the bar area. The food was excellent our service however, was not. The server came over to drop menus and greet me as I waited for the rest of my party and then didn’t come back for almost 15 minutes. He did the same exact thing to the table next to us, so I feel like it’s just what he does.
The restaurant was busy for a midweek dinner, but not where it should have taken almost 10 minutes for our drinks. And when we did order dinner I asked for a cocktail fork for my daughter for her dinner and he never came with it so I eventually had to ask another server. He came when we were almost done and said “oh let me get that fork.”
Again, the food was excellent. Came out hot, pasta was cooked perfectly. I had the Baked Cavatelli, my mom has the 8 finger Cavatelli and my Grandmother the Chicken Marsala.
The birthday dessert was mini cannolis and perfect.
We’ve dined at the Carmine’s located in the city and had a good experience, unfortunately I don’t think we’ll revisit the Rosemont location. Despite a reservation, we waited 15 minutes for our table, waited several minutes before a waiter approached our table, tables were SO close together we could easily hear the conversations of those seated near us, waiters and bus staff consistently bumped into our table to get around, the noise level loud, and the food was nothing to rave about, certainly not worth returning for. The breadsticks in the basket were stale - that should have been the first clue that the meals would be mediocre. It is disappointing that restaurants cannot get the concept of what constitutes a nice evening out - it does not involve being crammed into a large room like a herd of animals then continually getting bumped into throughout the dinner service. I am disappointed, frustrated, and will not return or recommend this restaurant. There are a multitude of restaurants out there, I am sorry that we wasted money on this place.
Made a reservation and requested a cozy booth as it was our anniversary. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. They put us at a 12 inch wide table for 2 with a couch on one side and the next table was on our lap - we decided to eat at the bar. I said this is not a booth they said the wait for a booth would be very long. I said we will eat at the bar- went to the bar and within 10 minutes they said they had a booth. Served us at the booth- server was rude. It was a terrible experience
And they did not even acknowledge our anniversary
Our meal went sideways by one of the ordered entrees(porterhouse) arriving 15 minutes later than the other entrees at our table. Had someone communicated that the steak was “missed” and they are working on it, I certainly would have been understanding. Instead the manager brought out the steak, and did not apologize for the delay. I would have expected an apology, the offer for a dessert, some type of apologetic gesture. Instead, there was nothing, and the service was substandard.
I will not return......
Delicious food and service was great. I love to eat at Carmines and Rosebuds!
40 year anniversary. Food and service were excellent. Place was so packed and noisy, we did not enjoy ourselves. Seating was so close, it was incomfortable. Will not go back for dinner there.
Was just okay. The food tasted good, but I wasn’t overly impressed by the menu. The noise level inside was too loud. If you want a quiet dinner, this may not be the place. The tables are set up too close together to the point where it’s hard to even walk to your table, let alone have any kind of privacy during your meal. Server was nice but was kind of weak, committing some “no-no’s” including pointing to other tables food to help describe entrees, mentioning that they were “flustered today” etc. Things better kept unsaid.
Again, decent food, but seems that they should loosen up the ambiance of the place a little bit space-wise. The servers can’t even walk in between the tables without having to contort their bodies while carrying trays and it’s the same for patrons trying to get to and leave their tables.
Enjoyed our time there! Very good meal and ambiance!
We love dining with you!!!
Phil, David and Jimmy went out of their way to make our experience as wonderful as always!!!!
Special thanks to server John , for his kindness and humor.
See you all in a couple weeks when we return with more friends!
Our meal was fabulous.
Chef....you are killing it.
If you are going for food and its not your first time at Carmines I recommend Rosemont. If you havent been there, go to Gold Coast. You will experience top notch service there. Rosemont threw us off, after being seated, someone placed bread on our table, we ate it, waited 10 minutes and then I decided to go ask if a waiter or waitress can come by. She was super nice but no proper introduction or greetings, or offerings. During dinner I had my watee refilled once, the bread basket stayed on the table. It might be small stuff but I expect this at TGI Fridays not Carmines. The food was delicious and the special they had was great value as well.
We had a reservation and there was a major rain and wind storm during our visit. They sat us outside in the tented area with a fireplace which would’ve been beautiful on a nice evening but instead our table and chairs were wet and we could barely talk to each other because of the sound of the rain. We asked for a different place because my husbands seat was wet so they moved him to the 4th chair at our table (also damp). My husband told them the floor around us was wet and someone was going to slip and fall but they didn’t seem concerned. At one point during the meal, the wind knocked over items at a nearby table. My sweater was damp after our meal from the continued drips or rain. Upon leaving, the valet brought our car around and there was a puddle in the seat when I sat down and the steering wheel was dripping with water. The food was ok but definitely not a pleasant experience.
The Eggplant Parmesan was exceptional !!! Chicken Marsala was a little dry. Everyone enjoyed their meals
We love Carmine’s! They are very accommodating of special food requests/ allergies. Food is delicious and ambiance is very nice. Service was a little slow but our server was helpful and very friendly.
I think they need to get their system together. Waited 15 minutes to get drinks and probably another 25 after that to order. Didn’t get our food until 70 minutes after we arrived. The atmosphere is beautiful but food was mediocre for the price. Side pasta which comes with some of the dishes were cold. Chicken Marsala was just okay. Wouldn’t say worth $29. I would come back in maybe a year and see if they have their act together because the atmosphere is beautiful.
Excellent from start to finish! Staff super attentive.
Our server was helpful and knowledgeable and very patient. He made great suggestions which we followed and we’re very happy with our choices. It’s a beautiful setting and the food was delicious
Fun energetic evening. Great food. Waiter was awesome. Good for a group , bday or just a fun night out. Not a date spot as it’s not quiet enough to have a quiet conversation. But other wise great
Delicious food and generous portions. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Great wine selection.
Generally it was very loud and busy. Our waiter mixed up our order several times, and while it was annoying, no one got the wrong meals at the end of the day. Food was great!
Dante was our server. We had excellent service and the food was delicious!
I could not believe how bad the service was, I have not had an experience like that in a restaurant before. This is an expensive, new place. Maybe it was an off night but it took 2 hours and 45 minutes to get through appetizers and dinner and the drinks were NOT flowing either.
Great food, excellent service. Seated right away. Only drawback is it is loud
Had a reservation and they seated us in a booth in the bar instead of in the restaurant, the veal chop and risotto frutti di mare was very salty, heard a lot of complaining from patrons going on between the restaurant management. The kitchen was near us and the chefs yelled “order” about 100 times in the hour we were there.
Celebrating father and son birthday. Our waitstaff was fabulous, knowable and friendly. I requested patio seating, weather permitting , since it is October. Each of us had different entree, all was fantastic. No room for dessert, but the birthday boys got birthday mini cannolis! It’s was a perfect dessert for all! Can’t say enough about the experience, I felt like on vacation for those few hours...
Restaurant was highly recommended but there was nothing exceptional about our meal.
Meal was outstanding and service was generally attentive. Major issue with our experience was that the restaurant had a lounge singer in the bar that had the volume cranked to 10 on his music machine. Basically was shouting to have conversation at our table in the restaurant. Poor management decision and oversight. He cleared the restaurant out fairly quickly.
The waiter was fantastic. The food was delicious!
Great place to get an early dinner. Love the huge portions for leftovers. Great service.
Will probably need to valet park since there is more valet parking then general. Didn’t take long to ret car though.
Food was great. Good size portions. You will probably have leftovers.
Will return again for sure.
Always great food. I was disappointed to hear that Cacio de Pepe is no longer prepared tableside.
Great neighborhood spot with an inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly service and excellent food! Loved it!
Pre concert dinner. Beautiful new restaurant. Nice to see Carmine’s in Rosemont. Food was great, service too!
Birthday dinner food was Great!
