Reservation system is abysmal-impossible via telephone (a problem for 2 years+). The online system is quirky at best and attempting to add a mere 2 people would have been a 26 hour reschedule. This was a birthday dinner for my wife, and her sisters flew in by surprise. Arriving early, we tried to add them on the day of, the girl at the desk first didn’t know if it could be dine and had to call someone. Then she told us it would be a delay of at least 1.5 hours, at which point the sisters declined. Further, we initially were taken to an upper level table after having requested window seating, we waited 15 more minutes (now past our reservation time) to be seated. The four of us enjoyed our meal, though my wife’s filet mignon was served rare in spite of her “well done” request. This was handled quickly by Derek, our waiter, returning in a few minutes with the steak somewhat more in the realm of medium. The food and service maintained the overall score above, but the reservation difficulties will give us pause when considering the Chart House in the future. To add to our aggravation, there were at least two 6 place tables and several 4 seaters with adjacent tables for two which could have accommodated our simple request; these tables remained unused during the entirety of our two hour stay.

My Experience was Amazing and the View was a plus! I had Salmon w/ broccoli and mashed potatoes. Salmon didn’t really have a taste and the broccoli tasted horrible, but everything else was really nice. The waiter was very nice and even took some pictures of me. Great Customer Service

My meal was awful had the filet came out rare was supposed to be medium well potatoes were cold They took it back and 15 minutes later came out the same potatoes cold meat bloody and my butter was melted

I can not say enough about our dining experience at The Chart House. It was amazing. The view was spectacular (we went at 5 and sun set at 5:35), food was amazing. If I lived in San Antonio, I would come back often. I live in Chicago and it reminded me of the 95th floor in the Hancock building.

Celebrated my wife's Birthday had an excellent experience. Without requesting the waitress brought out a decorative dessert treat for my wife making it a very special evening. Excellent service.

We got there 15 mins early. We were seated at our scheduled time slot. We were only a party of 2 and we were seated at a booth that would seat 6 people. The view was ok. Ordering food was not a problem. But it took a long time to receive it. My food was fine. My husband’s steak and potatoes were COLD. I did noticed a couple that was seated in our same section had to wait just as long and they were seated well before us. BUT the couple next to them were being attended to frequently. They had a different waitress. If you’re going for the view it’s nice. But be prepared to wait for food.

Great views and the food was good. They had a live band playing in the bar which made the noise level in the restaurant much louder than we would have preferred as it was difficult to have conversations at times.

The Chart House was a fantastic place to celebrate my son’s birthday! The food was delicious, and the service was fantasic. The only small issue we had was that it was very cold where we were seated, which was right by the window. Otherwise, it was a great overall experience.

The hosts/hostesses really needs to be trained on customer service. They were too busy talking to each other and did not want to be bothered. They did not anticipate needs nor friendly. These are the first people your customers see and they start the experience. That fell short. The wait staff were amazing, as well as the food. Upon leaving, once again the hosts/hostesses just put their nose in the air and did not help call an attendant or provide any direction of how to get back down. They were more there to hang out with friends than an upscale dining experience.

Great atmosphere and experience. Excellent service and the food was better than we had expected. Appetizers were proportioned small for the price , but the main dishes left us leaving full and satisfied. Not to mention the bread basket was warm and tasty. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion as we went for my birthday. Be prepared to spend $250-$300. I would come here again, you can’t beat the atmosphere.

Great first dining experience with my family. The 360-deg city view from the tallest structure in SA (750ft height) is the best. The food and recommended red wine were spot-on. The chart menu (3-course menu) has good selection of salad/soup (we had Lobster Bisque), entrees (I had 10oz prime rib), and desert of mini chocolate lava cake for a reasonable price. It’s a must try !!!

The view of San Antonio from our table was fantastic. Unfortunately, the service provided by the wait staff was very disappointing. Waiter forgot to put in order for appetizer, said he’d bring a bread basket but never did, did not put in an order for a salmon entree that someone in our party ordered. Not the level of service we expected.

The Hemisphere/Tower of the Americas has always been a special occasion place to for us to enjoy a fancy, dress up, night out on the town. We start with a couple of dinks at the Bar and end up with dinner and a view. This time was wonderful to spend both our 31st Wedding Anniversary and Thanksgiving here at The Chart House. Thank you for the service, food and our hostess was most welcoming. Merry Christmas!

The food was cold and when i told the waitress about it she told me “i shouldve said something earlier” and was extremely rude. We will never be back and will absolutely never recommend anyone to go there either. I did enjoy the ambiance of the place tho!

All of my husband's food was cold (lobster bisque, filet, lobster tails). They never gave him a steak knife and said that they were out of steak knives. I ordered a glass of wine with my meal and it didn't arrive until after I, as well as the rest of my family, had finished eating. The server always seemed in a rush and every time I tried to request something she was already walking away.

Wonderful experience the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because we made reservations at 6:15 pm. Checked in a few minutes prior and was told we had to wait til reservation time. So at 6:15 we checked in and were sent up to the restaurant. There we waited and additional 30 minutes to be seated. Our total time from seating to leaving was approximately 2 hours. From there the service was exceptional. Drinks and food were outstanding and the views were utterly amazing. Definitely a must do on any trip to San Antonio. Highly recommend.

The food that we ordered was tasty and well prepared. The ambiance needs improvement; some of the windows sported children’s crayon markings, and the floor under our table had food on it. We understood from the waitress that we were seated before she was able to clean it. This is not a place I would choose to return for excellent food. However, if we had out of town guests we would return for the outstanding view.

Checked in but was put at the bottom of the pile had to go up to reremind them we were there. And yes I had made reservations a week before. Then finally got sat down. Sat for 35 mins and not one single person checked in with us. We never even got served water. So we got up and left. Very disappointed since that’s where we chose to go for our thanksgiving dinner. I would recommend it to a friend but i would be leary from the service we received
