This place never fails! Great food great ambiance and great service! If you don't like loud music you've been warned....don;t go. Its hip great for groups and constantly popping
My tab was already almost $800. I felt it was really disrespectful that an employee came back after I paid the tab and passively aggressively suggested that I didn’t tip enough. It was overall a great experience but that last tidbit caused the meal to end on a bit of a sour note. Our first server Robin was fabulous and we really enjoyed the great time that we spent with her time there. Truly our second server was alright as well. I cannot stress enough that it was so so disrespectful for her to come up to me and suggest my tip was inappropriate. I also want to state that the SF mandate was already included into our tab.
The Valentine's prix-fixe menu was an utter disappointment. The lasagna and the branzino, whcih we were very much looking forward to, were in our opinion ruined my the excessive amount of extremely bitter chard and winter greens. To make matters worse, one of the side dishes that came with the main course was an entire bowl of bitter broccoli rabe. I understand (and appreciate) using seasonal ingredients, but in this case our meal was completely forgettable. Sadly, the price was high, so we won't be forgetting any time soon.
Loved the Valentines menu!
Pastas a bit salty
Getting our food was really slow and while our waiter was very friendly when he was talking to us, it felt like he barely checked on us. We had an 8:00pm reservations and our mains didn't get to the table until after 9:30pm. Food was fine but nothing was out of this world. When the check came it felt expensive for what we got even if not more so than other similar restaurants in SF.
Must order the Pineapple Pizza and the Ragu Pasta!!!
Thank you for everything
Best food In Sf!!
Great evening. We we’re looking forward to trying this restaurant for a long time and it was worth the wait. The server was excellent. The only criticism is the broccolini dressing was a tad too strong and the porchetta at times had too much salt rub packed into certain parts. But we’ll be back for sure. Thanks!!
Great food and attentive service.
Che Fico is always a wonderful experience. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and attentive, the Italian wine list is full of great unique labels and the atmosphere is always lively. I can’t imagine a better place to spend time with friends.
This was a birthday celebration. We loved the presentation and our waitress was very attentive. Wonderful!
This was my first time at Che Fico and I was very impressed. The food and service were excellent and it's a great space and "look". The only problem is the noise level. It's so loud you practically have to shout at your friends across the table. Otherwise, I will certainly recommend Che Fico to friends and look forward to a time when I can go again myself.
I had a 9:45 pm reservation and they were sold out of 2/4 entrees as well as a myriad of other items throughout the menu. No alternatives were available and as we are pescatarian, that meant eating a cheese pizza for dinner. The food came out in an odd order. First salad, then the small appetizers, then pasta and pizza. The bowl of olive pits was left on the table the entire meal. We had to track down the service staff for fresh plates. Overall lousy experience.
Love it every time I go!
Heavy food that was very expensive and moderately tasty
Excellent from start to finish! Creative yet accessible menu. We ordered several things and they were all on the smallish side so we got to share a lot of different dishes and flavors. Can hardly wait to go back!
I have been to Che Fico three times now, the first two times had absolutely amazing service. The food is always amazingly delicious and I would recommend it any day. When I went on Wednesday, 1/29, the service was very much lacking. Our server seemed distracted and didn't really care to talk us through the menu at all. Our reservation was at 7:45, and it was 8:05 by the time he showed up at our table for the first time. He then took forever to take our orders for every course, we would try to stare him down and he would not pay attention to us. Our dinner plates were cleared at 9:00 and we were finally given dessert menus at 9:30, after trying to flag him down multiple times. We noticed him in a corner chatting and giving people hugs for a good 5 minutes of that time. I expect more from Che Fico. I'll definitely be back, but hopefully will not have this waiter again.
Great food, drinks, and service. It was a hip/fun ambiance, but a bit on the noisy side.
The atmosphere was great. Food was delicious. Really good :)
Pricey ok Italian food. Interesting flavor combos. Very loud music and loud conversation.
Everything was amazing. The dishes we had make me want to return to for more of the same AND all the dishes we didn't try. Cool space. Very loud.
Noise level is deafening. Feels like a loud bar. Price to experience not a great value.
The experience was excellent! Food=delicious; Service was attentive; very energetic crowd, a bit noisy
We celebrated my husband's birthday and we enjoyed all the dishes we ordered from the cauliflower sformato, mozzarella, fusi istriani and the best sausage w/shaved mushroom was my favorite! Our least favorite was the crispy pasta which was just as the name says - crispy. The cocktail - Death in the Afternoon was so refreshing that I didn't even get tipsy after drinking the whole thing. Ha!
Food was very good to great but the next tables conversation was only poor— unfortunately some tables so close you are committed to joint experiences with folks not of your choice. Also loud and little control over timing of dishes. Ask for a booth or walk in to the bar seating and you will have a better experience. Avoid if you are on salt restriction.
Our experience with Che Fico was wonderful from the very start. I requested adding one more to my existing reservation and Laura was so accommodating and helpful and it all worked out beautifully.
The space is large and inviting and the overall ambiance is inviting and warm . Madison, our main server is knowledgeable about the menu and the wines which helped us to put together a tasting menu which included one of their amazing pizzas, a chopped salad and two pastas, the Bolognese and the Triangoli that we all absolutely loved and we finished the meal with the delicious/rich Bittersweet Chocolate Budino for dessert.
We were all in agreement that each dish we ordered was genuinely excellent! We are all looking forward to returning and experiencing more of their menu.
Nice spot and excellent service! Food is overrated! While burrata and pasta were OK, lasagna (the most expensive dish on the menu) was terrible!!
Fantastic food! Service can be a l
I have dined here once before and thoroughly enjoyed the food. On this occasion the food was very salty, especially the greens and pasta with sunchokes and lemon. The service was great.
I’ve been here 2-3 times and every time, the service has been inconsistent. The actual food servers have been great. I’m talking more about the Somms/Floor Managers or Supervisors. Each time, my experience has been that they are very pretentious and condescending. Like, zero desire to be warm and engaging with the guest. I’ll probably not go back or recommend based on my recent visit.
Over-priced and slow service. We were seated late and the next day I had horrible stomach pains from the greasy food. Not worth the price either.
From the start with Madison and Laura at the welcome desk to the bar experience with Rick, Samantha and Matthew while we wait for our great table, onward to Kyle's great smile and energy helping us make decisions about deliciousness (lamb pasta, Yummy Pizza, Salads with farmer cheese) we just love love being at Che Fico! The food is definitely out of this world and what keeps us coming back, but we know for sure, that every link in the chain matters - and it is apparent at Che Fico that the attention to detail is on all counts the very best.
We always look forward to our next time! See you soon, Riva & David Berelson
The burrata was some of the best I have ever had in my life.
food always good...one guest thought the bolognese pasta was a bit overcooked
Fantastic experience. Pasta was absolutely delicious. We did not care for the suckling pig entree — a bit of a disappointment after it was recommended.
One of the best meals I have had in a long long time, everything was delicious and perfectly timed!
Go in knowing that it is very busy and loud but great service and delicious
Worth to do once to see the scene. Food is way too salty and if you get a bad table you’re literally on top of your neighbor and can’t hear your dining partner. Ambiance and people watching is superb. Better ways to repeatedly spend $200.
