Chiringuito at Vidanta Riviera Maya
We had the fried Calamari but they were mostly the tentacles which I do not like & wouldn’t have ordered had I known. We ordered the Valencia style paella for 2 & unfortunately it didn’t have a lot of flavor. There are many other restaurants here at Vidanta that we will frequent but this won’t be one of them.
I love this place. It was my 3rd visit to Vidanta and the first thing I did was get a reservation for a night when they had a flamenco dancer. It was the same dancer as when I was here last year and she's phenomenal and so is her guitar player. And if you go, the paella is a must.
My wife and daughters all had to leave half way through our meal because they were getting eaten alive by some unseen insects. They each got about 15 bites. Not sure if it was flies, mosquitoes or noseeums - but they need to do some treatments for pests.
Service was slow , brought most expensive water on the menu , spilled hot soup on my daughter, did not bus table— we sat their with piled up dirty dishes.
Excellent food, service and live entertainment. Paella was very authentic and the flamenco music and dancer were great. Definitely recommend this as a restaurant to try while at the resort.
Amazing seafood paella and tapas! They had a special sangria when we went too that was so flavorful.
Not our best experience on the resort property.
A tucked away restaurant but worth it!!! The food was excellent!!! We had some tapas appetizers and the paella. Wait staff was great too.
The overall experience was beautiful. However much of the seating is on couches, a few with no back, so not great for eating but better just for drinks and appetizers. But lovely performance and really beautiful area.
Beautiful meal on the terrace under the stars on the beach while watching Flamenco dancing. Magical experience.
Love the food. Service was great. My favorite at vidanta
Best Restaurant in the resort amongst many fine contenders
We made a reservation and although it was at 50% of occupancy they gave us the farthest table where we couldn’t see anything from the flamenco show which was the main reason we wanted to be there.... the new remodelation was for worse. The people from the restaurant didn’t even tried to gave of another table or tried to improve the view... what a shame the service.
Food is well prepared and quite tasty
Diego, our server, was so attentive and sweet. Your flamenco dancers EXQUISITE. Such a memorable evening! But, please, fix the cable. No internet service and then no television was so disappointing.
Made a later reservation for a birthday dinner and requested outdoor seating. I know that's not always available but when we showed up early they rushed to seat us inside right by the front door/host and next to the loud live music. I couldn't even hear myself think let alone concentrate on the menu or have conversation with my family. I asked if we could wait for our reservation time for an outside table to open up and they played stupid so we just left.
Only place on the resort I had poor customer service with. Again, I'm realistic with availability and such but when you have a reservation and know it's a special occasion I'd hope you'd do more for your guests.
The restaurant was very nice but too cold. We asked to have the fans turned off but all of the guests were bundled up because the air conditioner was running. We had the paella which was very good but it was a bit pricey.
We love the Dueto Andaluz show! We attend each trip here. I was bummed out that we were seated in the back out of view of the show. I told the hostess we came a long way for this shoe. We were told by the hostess that the show view tables had reservations a couple weeks out. Not long after a couple came in stood near us reviewing the menu BEFORE deciding to stay and were seated in the table band side! They got drinks & an appetizer and left!!! They certainly appeared not to have a long standing reservation. Nor there for this show. The service by Diago was excellent. The food outstanding. The view of the show non-exhistant. ☹ The lesson here is if this is your destination make reservations well ahead and be specific on seating if your attending a show.
A bit pricey but, the quality was definitely there. The ambiance was wonderful and the service was great. I would return for a special occasion.
Valencia Paella was amazing! The house sangria is also excellent.
Good food, but slow and poorly timed service.
nos recibieron muy bien la mesa estaba bien ubicada, el lugar es muy agradable y la comida de excelente sabor y calidad
We have been to this restaurant twice. The first experience was amazing & service exceptional so we decided on going there again on a different trip. However, they gave us a really bad table close to the door and said it was a fully booked night although there were many empty tables. It was our 20th anniversary & I had mentioned that on our reservation. I didn’t feel like they made any effort to make it special.
Great place. Great service. Just like a nyc restaurant
Nice setting. Service was good. Appetizer & Sangria were excellent. Seafood Paella was bland tasting.
