Went for NYE dinner. Service was moderate at best as they were slammed and had to be done by a certain time. Ambience was great and food was pretty good.

Going in I knew at $100/pp it was a high price for appetizers and dessert. But I have always had a good experience when I have dined or stayed at Liberty. The service was very slow as in 2 1/2 hours we were only able to order 3 drinks. Service was so slow we were forced to take the dessert to go since it was after 10PM. The cheese platter they gave us for 6 really fed 3. I set the night up and was embarrassed to spend over $1,000 for what we got.

Clink/the Hotel in general is a uniquely lovely spot so we were excited, but I found the Xmas day meal to be just OK. For the price, the entres were only ok and honestly disappointing. My husband and son found the steaks very good but the gnocchi accompaniment was unimpressive, gluey and not a great starch option for the typical steak eater - my son ended up asking for my potatoes from my swordfish meal. The starters were well prepared except the lobster chowder was too heavy/thick. Scallops were delicious. Very nice waitress but host/hostess ( as always here, I have found) were snobby. We have been to CLINK several times and O now realize I come for the environment more than the quality of the food. I'll come back to the hotel, but will sit out in the bar since we've been treated better there in the past.

We a somewhat undesirable table right by the entrance/kitchen - would have been nicer to sit in the lounge area. The food was fantastic on the Christmas menu. Everything was the proper temperature, delicious and arrived at just the right time. They have a good selection of wine reasonably priced. Our server was a bit over burdened (a few too many tables perhaps) but still did a great job taking care of us. Would definitely do Christmas dinner here again before our larger family gathering at home on the 26th. Valet parking was fast and courteous. Thank you Clink staff!

Very nice cocktails! The lobby is beautiful with elegant seating. The ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend coming in around Christmas and reserve your seats. They sat us in 2 elegant chairs with our own table. It was perfect.!

We wanted just one night to get together and dress up and have a good time close to the holiday. Every seating area was sanitized and spaced out perfectly. We had such a great time and the beautiful surroundings made our night. Thank you, Clink and the Liberty Hotel!

Our waitress was very nice and was helpful in recommending things on the menu. When I went against her advice and got a drink that I didn’t like she let me exchange it for another drink which was so nice and shows the quality of service at this establishment.

We sat at the bar and from the beginning the bar tender was inattentive. We sat for a good amount of time before being greeted. When she finally came over she was rude and short with us. She took my drink order and walked away before taking my partners. At minimum 10 minutes later she came for his drink order. Walked away and didn’t bring the drinks for at least another 10. She then walked away before we could say we were ready to order. The food runners were polite and helpful grabbing condiments. The stuffed peppers were awful (do not order them, they were almost frozen and so rubbery we didn’t finish them. When his steak came out they didn’t provide a steak knife so he used his butter knife. Needless to say he didn’t eat much of it since we weren’t being attended to (he said the steak was very good though!) before we could order dessert she handed us our check. I’m sure this is just a fluke experience but I will not be sitting at the bar ever again. (We had a reservation, not just a last minute patron sitting at the bar) disappointed is an understatement. I’m not saying do not eat here, I am voicing my opinion if anyone else has had this experience, you’re not alone!

I will be choosing another restaurant in the hotel the next stay, for sure.

We went for brunch after seeing a feature online. We had the burger and the breakfast sandwich that were absolutely delicious. The place was clean and kept up with their COVID policies. Plenty of room between tables.

The old jail theme was cool as well as the upside down Christmas trees in the lobby.

Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Birthday celebration

Thanksgiving dinner !

A disappointing Thanksgiving dinner. While the food was good, the service was so rushed we had been served all 3 courses in less than an hour and the check brought out while we were still eating dessert. On two occasions food and drink were taken from us before we had finished them.
We went to the hotel bar afterwards to have an after dinner cocktail, only to be told we had to order more food in order to have a cocktail. The serving staff should have made us aware of this or given us a chance to have a drink in the bar before settling the check.
This was 1 star service with a ridiculous price tag.

I invited my friend to Thanksgiving here. I showed them the menu first so there were no surprised. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature...nothing too hot or too cold. Salads and soup came out first, two of us had turkey, 1 had salmon. I can vouch the turkey was perfect and my friend said the salmon was awesome. Apple pie was just divine!

Great Thanksgiving meal at Clink!

Came for thanksgiving — mediocre food and poor presentation. Extremely expensive and underwhelming.

For a birthday . They were nice but the food wasn’t as good as I would expect.

Chicken was dry and overall under seasoned Salad was good. Pasta Bolognese was good

Attended Nightmare on Charles Street event at Liberty Hotel. I was so glad was able to do something for Halloween. At first I thought the cost of $65 was high but the food was well worth it. Delicious. The staff was fantastic. Our waiter John was wonderful.

We did not experience any of the features in the event description. The host was rude and they sat us far in the back! The food was mediocre, total waste of money! Not recommended!

I attended because it was advertised as a Halloween theme dinner for a max group of 6. I felt it was misleading as not everyone felt like it was really part of the event, understanding Covid precautions it did not feel like it was very well organized as some of us was there for the event not just to go and have diner in a costume. Next time please prioritize event vs diner , I was there for both and just got half of the experience which we had paid for.

We actually had a wonderful time at this restaurant especially under the circumstances with Covid. It was our first time eating inside a restaurant in many months & was assured when I called restaurant face masks was a must and no need to worry. At the end of our evening I used the restroom and several guests from a private party that evening had no masks inside or outside the restrooms. I was very upset seeing this and actually asked management to take care of this issue. Very disappointed that it was not taking care of.

Lovely Sunday brunch with my daughter after a beautiful autumn weekend in Boston

I went with four other people on a Saturday night. Our waitress was very inattentive. Food and drinks were extremely overpriced. Cocktail list is all $20 drinks with one signature $23 drink. Our 30 something dollar entrees came out cold and the waitress didn't come back to even check in after dropping our meals.
Really cool place and very interesting to see how they flipped the old jail, but this is not a place I would go back to unless they step up the service. For what you're paying you should be getting better.

I don't know if they are short staffed because of Covid, and I don't want to jump to conclusions. I was just very dissatisfied with my experience there.

I was very disappointed in the quality and flavor of the food. I had the seared East Coast Salmon. It was farm raised and tasteless. The Tapenade did nothing for the Salmon and “oven roasted tomatoes were just sun dried tomatoes with to much vinegar. It was expensive for as bad as it was. The only thing I ate was the salmon, and it was flavorless. I would not go back. The service was ok, nothing special, though the server was pleasant. The hotel was very pretty.

Gorgeous and unique setting! Food and drinks were fantastic.

Due to the fact that we were there during Covid and during the week, we were served sitting in the lobby. With that said the lobby setting is wonderful! We had privacy, the food was amazing and the service could not have been better. I highly recommend it!
