Beef Filet Mignon Wellington
puff pastry, maitake mushroom, chicken jus, herb roasted bone marrow
Banana Crème Brulée
This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco, definitely a hidden gem relative to the city's more hyped spots.
Pleasurable outdoor dining experience, delicious food, with live music as an extra amenity.
Definitely a place to enjoy a lovely French meal while listening to jazz on Hyde amongst the trees in this neighborhood.
The onion soup was quite nice. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. We also shared mussels in its beautiful broth and the Filet Mignon Wellington. It came with bone marrow that was seasoned, a nice addition. Rich banana créme brûlée and chocolate cake fondant topped off the meal superbly with espressos. We will be back with friends!
Ate outside. Sunday brunch. Food was great. Service outstanding. Live jazz. Pretty cool..
Delicious food, nice wines and solid service. Particularly enjoyed the rotisserie chicken with a nice St. Amour, 3 delicious side sauces!
Wonderful food, service, price and neighborhood. The only issue - the times we have gone, our outdoor seating has been on a slope as the restaurant is along a hill in SF. Sitting perpendicular to the slope can make it feel like I was about to slide off my chair several times, or that the water bottle would tip over. The table was raised a bit using some blocks but the seats couldn’t be adjusted
Beautiful restaurant and delicious food :) Merci !
Food was fair, mussels as an appetizer is very good the rest of the offerings was fair at best, I am sorry, as I wanted to like it.
The brunch was amazing - live jazz, great service, and delicious food (the salmon crudo was awesome).
WOW I was transported to LEFT BANK !! But I took the trolley car to get there !!
Great ambience ,great service ! The wine was French and the food was just great !!
I have been here a few times but this last time was the BEST not sure if it was the band that [played just the right Jazz or the French Pino .But take your self and a friend on a trip to Paris
Everything that we ate was delicious. The service was very attentive. I can't wait to return. We loved the live jazz music.
The restaurant is reliably good. The meal was pleasant.
Excellent food, great wine recommendation, love the live music.
There was live music which was very nice ; but we could not hear each other one bit while music was playing. Generally the food was lacking flavor; under seasoned! Ahi salad was blah and not rare seared as it should be, gem salad no flavor, beef Wellington had zero flavor, but the bone marrow itself was tasty. Best dish was the fig and goat cheese tart. Overall very disappointing for French food in SF.
Great food, staff, and music. The noise level was a bit high but we sat outside so we didn’t mind the noise. The staff were super friendly and the food was outstanding for the money. Very good value.
Music was way too loud.
A nice little French place. The outdoor dining is great. We had
Live music, a chill vibe, good food and a pleasant experience.
Great service and people- excellent food and love the live music!
Great food, good help and. Ambiance could of been better.
Great food, great service, great live music/ambience (on Saturday night)! Highly recommend! Our waitress was amazing, we will come back just to say hi! :)
Felt like I was in France enjoying a delicious meal with friends. Loved the heater, service, and sidewalk dining experience. Food was exceptional!
Outstanding food, service and music
Delicious food, Excellent deserts, we loved it. Thank you
Live jazz was an unexpected pleasure. But I’ve been here several times (5?) and I just love the outdoor dining ambiance. It’s perfecto. Food isn’t outrageously priced but also haven’t ever told a friend “you know where you NEED to try….cocotte.” Will keep coming back because it is so darn quaint :)
We sat outside which was fine as there were heat lamps but the server (who was so nice) was overwhelmed as they were the only one outside and it was a holiday and very busy. The bus boy was less than friendly and I had to ask for a coffee refill 3 times and then cream and by the time the cream came the coffee was cold. The food though was delicious and they had great live music (jazz).
I was seated right in front of the jazz band so a little too loud, but I’d take that any day over no music. They were delightful.
Really disappointed. We reserved the 9pm reservation spot on opentable. I didn’t expect that the restaurant would allow a reservation at a time that they were closing down? They told us the kitchen closes in 15 mins and the jazz stopped right when we got there. The server was really nice about it and the place itself was cute, but it was a pretty big bummer considering we had brought people from out of town and were anticipating a different type of experience
Food was AMAZING! BUT.. our waiter was not friendly at all, seemed moody, and we felt rushed ordering our food
And drinks. The other wait staff that were assisting him were very nice, one of them realized it was my birthday and brought my desert with a lit candle “not our waiter”, so when our main waiter saw that he came with our check, was
Much nicer and said happy birthday. But by then it was a little too late to make up for the way he had been. Also, do not expect your desert to be complimentary for your b day.
Also, we booked at 5 since There was live jazz that was supposed to start then, but they didn’t start until an hour later, when we were done with dinner and leaving.
Loved the food and the jazz music.
Amazing like a true Parisienne bistro. The live music was amazing too.
The food was excellent. The Service was quick and efficient. The accompanying music was very good.
Restaurant was loud and service was average but the food was absolutely amazing and would go again.
Came out to listen to music.
So so delicious! Salmon Gnocchi and banana creme brûlée were my favorites!
It started off well. We were greeted right away and our server was at our table , initial entrees came out quickly . But went downhill from there . Surprised at how mediocre the food was despite the high ratings . My friend and I had omelettes and they were “not bad” but they really just OK. For the price and ratings, I definitely would’ve expected a less rubbery omelette with more flavor . As it got busier, it looked like there was still only one server so there was not much follow up and when we ordered the chocolate cake , it took well over 15 mins for us to get it (closer to 20 mins actually) and if we hadn’t followed up we would not have been told it takes at least 10 mins to prepare it (although at this point it was well past that time ). A lady came thru with what looked like a Bible and began chatting it up w customers eating . Then found herself at one of the tables and not too long after I could barely hear our conversation as the lady started singing at the top of her lungs . Being from SF, I understand the various characters in the city. So that was fine , the first time around . But as we stayed she continued to get into bursts of singing at the top of her lungs to where she was even standing . At this point I felt it was just disruptive . I flagged the male host down because our server was nowhere to be found as we needed our bill and been waiting , I gave him feedback about the noise . And what I received was a defensive “oh that’s Stacey she comes here everyday and she’s harmless” . I said I didn’t say she was here to harm but what I am saying is it’s becoming disruptive . We came here to eat a meal that isn’t exactly cheap and converse and can barely hear ourselves . I do think she should’ve been addressed the first time around . But for him to say this happens all the time certainly doesn’t make it appealing for me to go back . Not to mention he was applauding her outbursts , literally. B/w mediocre food, slowness & disruption, never coming back .
Great good and atmosphere
Good vibe. Nice menu selections. Cozy place with a duo providing live music and at a good mouse level. Enjoyed the roast chicken and mushroom gravy. Friendly.
This wasn’t our first visit so had higher expectations. While the food was ok, it was served altogether (main course came out before soup was even finished) :( overall, Coquette is trying to just survive and doing it well
Great food and service!
