Coda Di Volpe
Love our neighborhood spot, always our go-to - great owner Billy Lawless greets everyone and makes you feel special and appreciated. Love the food, amazing pizza and diavolo chicken. Plus watermelon and sour cherry sorbets
As always, Coda was terrific. The ricotta bruscetta was novel and outstanding, as was the peach and heirloom tomato salad. The grilled octopus appetizer and the pasta chitarra were both excellent. The service is attentive but not intrusive and the ambience is friendly and vivacious. Coda Di Volpe is part of our standard rota.
Always a great evening. Everyone working there is wonderful and the pizza is always on point.
The food was amazing- great wine selection too!
always a wonderful time at coda di volpe! food, beverage & service are all top notch, expect nothing but the best here and enjoy one of their summer spritz!
Solid restaurant that never disappoints.
Excellent service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Our pizza was a bit too soggy to our liking though. I don't regret trying Coda Di Volpe but I would not go back again.
The experience was great, but the service was by far the best part of our meal! We were looked after by what felt like 7 members of the staff. I never wanted for anything! They were very patient and went at our pace! Awesome job!
Great atmosphere for a drink at the bar and dinner outside on the patio!
this is my favorite restaurant. We always have an excellent time. Appetizers, cocktails, pasta, etc. -- all delicious. Love brunch on the weekends! Keep doing whatever it is you're doing!
Amazing place with delicious food and a professional staff. We highly recommend.
We were seated immediately. It was not busy inside. Took a while before I think the front of house manager came over to ask about drinks. Waitress came about 5m later and asked again. Got drinks after about 15m. Placed our order and received our food, waitress didn't really check back at all. Seemed too busy with tables outside. Food was very good but the service was lacking.
Came here for the first time for my husband's birthday. Exceptional service and the food was amazing. Pizza, wine, meatballs, pasta -- best of the best on Southport.
Dinner before going to see a play.Absolutely a great spot for casual dinner. Our server made some suggestions for our group and we were all pleased.its a great addition to the neighborhood-will be back.
Great atmosphere with a good mix of Italian dishes and pizza that is. It run of the. Mill. Specialty drinks were on point ad well
Christopher our server was great, very accommodating and patient. Food was fantastic as well—from apps to entrees to desserts. Christopher was very knowledgeable on the wine list as well and provided great recommendations.
Food never disappoints! Fantastic food service and atmosphere
We sat outside and a noisy truck was running the entire time - not your fault. Pizzas were just ok.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant! 10 star rating for food, service, ambiance and anything else that can be rated!
We went to Sunday Brunch. It was fabulous. What a gem!!!!
Very nice outdoor patio on a side street. Burrata and Peach salad was shared, but you could have it as a meal and it was fantastic. Bucatini a little spicy even tho we told service we did not like spicy. Squid Ink pasta and shrimp was very good. Glass of Prosecco served in an old fashioned champagne glass and very skimpy pour. White wine rolly polly glass and therefore have to hold it and warm your wine with your hand unavoidable. Should have stemmed glasses. Overall a nice place.
Overrated! It’s a pizza joint.
Great experience! The food and drinks are amazing. I highly recommend Coda Di Volpe.
We sat outside and it was a cute neighborhood gem. Perfect for a beautiful summer night and a bite before seeing a play on Belmont. The inside is a bit trendier and looked lovely too. Our food and service were very good too.
Really liked this neighborhood spot! The portions were a bit small but overall really
liked it. Will definitely return!
Coda is my favorite neighborhood spot and definitely the restaurant I have been to most in Chicago. The atmosphere and for are amazing. Whether you go in the middle of summer or middle of winter- they always have the right vibe. Amazing wine list, great cocktails and all of the food is delicious!
I love coda di volpe and have been 4-5 times. The service was outstanding as always. The ambiance is great. This was the first time that I wasn’t wowed by my entre. And 2 others at my table felt the same - and that covered 3 of the 5 pasta dishes. The complimentary birthday cheesecake was amazing and much appreciated, too!! I will definitely be back.
I'm usually a fan of Coda di Volpe. Living in the neighborhood, I happily go quite often. Their appetizers are nice, pizzas are fantastic and pastas are generally flavourful. This last experience was disappointing. I ordered the Jonah Crab pasta dish and although they did warn me it was spicy, it was unbearable. That should not be served. I took one bite and had to return it.
Also, a pasta dish that is $20+ should be served with cheese offering, ground pepper, bread, and more than an app portion.
Come all the time love it
Coda do Volpe did not disappoint! Amazing appetizers, pizza and pasta. Very knowledgeable waitress and staff who all provided great recommendations. Would definitely dine again.
Loved it first time 😊 Ellery ( as in queen ) was attentive and awesome !!f Food fresh delicious! Will be back soon !
Server was outstanding, only thing I would say is that I didn’t like the steak entree, it was more like a salad with some steak on top, and that was not clear from the menu, I didn’t get the special (16oz ribeye) because that was too big but I definitely would have had I know that the regular entree was more like a salad. This should be more clear on the menu.
Coda after a Cubs game never disappoints --- even when the Cubs do
Server was so nice even when our party was late!
We had a really god birthday celebration here and really appreciated the waitress modifying the pizza a little bit to make it good for my vegetarian friend. The pizza itself was absolutely delicious and the wine was possibly one of the best glasses I've had in a while. The 3 scoops of ice cream that were brought to our table was also a very pleasant surprise!
Best restaurant on Southport. Loved everything about the place. Food, atmosphere, wait staff. Best Thompson is the best in Chicago.
By far our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood! We come here once a week with the kids and everyone gets to enjoy their favorite foods! Definitely recommend for any occasion.
Dinner after ball game. Very enjoyable time.
Lovely neighborhood gem with great food and wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place to also grab a drink at the bar with a friend or two!
It was great but every time my daughter’s gluten/dairy free pasta get screwed up! But we are such fans of the place we will always come back.
