Service was excellent & food was above expectation
We went to Conservatory for my wife's 50th with extended family. It was ideal as it catered to everyone's different tastes. There was a good selection of vegetarian options, kids loved the pizza, calamari, sushi. We enjoyed the curry's, and Asian inspired dishes. We had a table of 9 and they can easily cater for up to 10. There are views over the Yarra River, however it is all inside dining, so not true waterfront. Overall it was a good experience, and we would go again.
Excellent food and service a very enjoyable evening to celebrate a birthday.
Whenever i'm in Melbourne love going to The Conservatory for lunch. Great value for money & a lovely high quality , relaxing experience.
Limited vegetarian options. That too Indian veg food was tasteless. Should have more options for vegetarians too.
There was a good array of food, providing lots of options and was replenished often enough, always looked well presented.
Having a seat near the window with the view was lovely but the tables so close together meant our conversations could be heard and we could hear others so in the end my husband and I had trouble hearing each other speak. I also felt like I was brushing past those next to me and in return being brushed by our neighbours, it was a bit awkward and detracted from the experience
The quality of the food was about average, nice flavors and good selection.
The dessert section was really disappointing, the only enjoyable things were the crepes and chocolate fountain.
The small cakes weren’t enjoyable!
Another weak point is the staff, untrained and without and guidance, structure or section.
While seating 3 different girls asked us if want water or to order drinks.
The waitresses and one manager asking 4 times to take and plate, why 4 times?
$105 for 2 hours, getting rushed!
Great lunch spot for a catch up with friends
Nice location , and lay out. Staff were great
Not impressed with food variation or selection for price honest
We enjoyed the lovely surrounds, brilliant food especially seafood, enormous variety of condiments, sauces etc. desserts were also spectacular. Service also first class
We had a family lunch at the Conservatory and loved the choice of food and the quality was outstanding, the staff were very good also, the only down side was when it was time to pay they would only split the bill in half which was very difficult as there was 8 of us all wanting to pay separately. I would hope they will rethink this policy as it spoilt a very good lunch.
Overall, it was a great experience.
It was incredibly expensive for what it was, but at the same time it was a great selection of food.
Lovely restaurant. Great choice of food on selection
My Mum, partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. My Mum and I were both celebrating birthdays, so it was lovely to go somewhere different and special to celebrate. We are from Geelong, so again it was nice to attend different restaurants. I follow a Wheat free diet. The Chef walked me through and explained the options. There was an extensive variety of food that was Gluten free, which was fantastic. The food was fresh and most palatable. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
Went for buffet lunch yesterday with my husband as a special treat while visiting family. The range of food is excellent especially the seafood. Service was good without being over the top. Excellent lunch all round wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
The food, staff and ambiance was excellent. My only suggestion for the amount you pay per week person, one drink could be complimentary.
I believe that would be an attractive option for patrons
I’ve been to The Conservatory many times for afternoon tea and feel the quality has slipped with staff and their attentiveness to diners.
Afternoon tea is known for endless flowing tea however, only being served tea (which wasn’t hot) twice in the two-hour sitting is very poor. Staff are not always easy to get gain their attention.
A lovely venue to dine. The surroundings are very pleasant and relaxing.
Also the food is presented in an appealing way and very fresh. Great choices. It caters for everyone.
AbsolutAbsolute my expensive for Qu quality of Food and choice.
No where near a fine dining experience .
Just a r in of the mill over priced buffet that's same type e of Food and no tg good quality.
Fantastic evening for our 5th Anniversary. We hadn’t visited before but we thoroughly enjoyed the night. Our server Dani was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Beautiful. Great variety of food.
Absolutely fabulous experience. This was the fourth time I have been in two years and it never disappoints. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The food is first class with so much variety.
A beautiful experience, food, service and ambience is wonderful.
Beautiful environment with super friendly staff. Tania was serving us and she was lovely! The food was incredible.
Excellent experience my second time and it did not disappoint
I’ve been to a few different venues for high tea in Melbourne and the Conservatory at Crown would have to be the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
They come around again and offer you more savoury/sandwiches and you have a full dessert buffet to help yourself to. Well worth the price of this experience
Absolutely disgusting that the conservatory charged people extra for what they labelled Thursday 26th September a day before the grand final public holiday as "public holiday eve" and charged people the weekend rate. They didn't have to pay staff higher rates. They just decided to take advantage and cash in.
I have been here about 6 times and come here for special occasions this last time was my friend’s 70th birthday I have brought my daughter here, a friend to celebrate my retirement (my treat) and three other times with a group of friends. The variety of food to choose was wonderful and the price for the occasion also great. Thank yoi
Was over crowded, location of the table was inconvenience, stuck in between both side
A marvellous buffet lunch to celebrate my birthday with 4 of my dearest friends. The atmosphere was divine as was the selection of food.
We were treated to 5 glasses of complimentary sparkling wine & a choice of another 5 glasses of complimentary red, white or sparkling wine as a treat for being a Crown member celebrating a birthday.
A box was chocolates was delightfully presented to me after our meals.
I am looking forward to celebrating more birthdays at the Conservatory. Thanks Crown
Have been in Conservatory many times, and only this time it was a let down. Service was poor, eg I had to clean table from dirty dishes, took a while to get attention to order drinks and coffee. Food wasn't the best - Conservatory standards. Waiter didn't recommend Champaign due to high prices-we ordered 2 bottles-it was celebration and costs wasn't a priority. Vegan / vegetarian meal didn't look attractive. On a positive side we got a nice spot next to the window as requested. Staff was polite.
VARIERTY PRESENTATION OF FOOD STANDARD OF FOOD FREIENDLY STAFF
All food is dried and salty No tasty
But the mood is good
I don’t wanna go anymore
It’s not valued
2 for $218 It’s too expensive
I can’t believed
Not many options for vegetarians in this modern world which is a shame and the chef are also not accommodative to prepare something
When you want to treat yourself, this is the place to be for lunch! Beautiful views of the Yarra, if you have asked for a table near the windows. There was a wide choice of food, all very well prepared. Staff were attentive. It was like being wrapped in luxury and sheer indulgence, even if it was just for a couple of hours.
Very disappointed in the service we experienced on sunday!! Every dinning experience thus far had been amazing which is why we keep coming back!! Until Sunday I now will never come back
We had lunch at the conservatory & it was amazing. From the sushi to the creamy pasta, roasted meats & dessert bar. The food was all fantastic
Hi, the meal was excellent a the quality of the food superb but unfortunately in the last moment the thing went wrong. That was supposed a gift from my sister and brother in law who previously paid the meal for us. They said to the woman who attend the call that meal was a wedding anniversary gift. And what was my surprise when the waiter give me the bill for pay. I had to call my brother in law and had to sent me the receipt of the payment. Finally everybody a little bit disappointed.
It was very noisy and I thought they should have a required dress code . You feel your paying and coming into a beautiful, opulent and romantic restaurant and there are kids running around, dropping things and also one child about 13 was in her basketball attire from her game with open shoes.
It brought the feel down to a food court experience.
