Seated quickly, servers friendly and accommodating. Nice place
We were here before a show. It was quick and yummy. Great drink menu as well.
The food was subpar and extremely overpriced. The cocktails were the only enjoyable part of my meal.
This was a first time visit before a Symphony concert. We arrived early, but were seated right away. Our server asked if we had a concert to attend, and we ordered drinks and appetizers, which came promptly. There was a problem with my glass of wine, and when I asked if the bottle had been opened a long time, she replied that it was “on tap”. Another wine was selected, which was ok, but which wasn’t especially noteworthy. I had finished my appetizer when the entree arrived, but my companion had about half of his left. Since the table was very small, it presented some juggling issues, plus the entree sat for about 10 more minutes before we could begin to eat it.
Fortunately, it was still warm, and the truffle infusion in the chicken made it especially tasty. It was large enough that we shared and both felt very full. I will look forward to a return visit and to try out some of the other dishes.
Great place for Saturday brunch! Highly recommend the baked goods as they were outstanding!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable and delicious meal on the mezzanine. Great and friendly service, complimentary flavors in each dish. It’s a great choice for a pre-theater dinner (or any other time).
First of all the food was delicious! We were 4 and ordered four different entrees (pasta, scallops, veggie pot pie and burgers and not a crumb was left. The ambience is classy, and the whole staff hustled to get everyone served before their 7pm showtimes. Great time ! We’ll be back
Variety of dishes and convenient for dining before opera/music/play.
Perfect setting for a team meeting with our senior manager
My husband and I think that Jason, the chef at Corridor is very gifted. The dishes we enjoyed on the New Years Eve fixed price meal was way beyond what one would expect on a chaotic evening like December 31st. I have consistently eaten food at Corridor that was definitely Michelin star worthy. Tasty, pretty and relevant dishes are served by pleasant, intelligent servers who are proud and enthusiastic about their job. What a treat! The mushroom risotto was superior. I also like all the soup they make and to top it all off, the price can’t be beat.
We had a special prix-fixe menu for New Year's Eve that was quite good although selection was limited to two each of starters and mains.
One tiny cavil is the tip suggestions that came on the bill. Why are the percentages based on the food, the state sales tax and the provision for employee health care? The latter two items are quite extraneous to what I came to the restaurant for. What is the logic of applying a tip to those items? If you were eating in Oregon (no sales tax and no health surcharge), for example, would you tip extra because you did not have to contend with those amounts? Doesn't make sense to this customer.
We arrived not knowing there was a limited pre-fixe menu for NYE. (Someone had called to tell me, but I hadn't seen the message). One of us is vegetarian; the other pescatarian. The tuna appetizer was delicious; the beet salad was very good but we had to get a second one due to a hair being on the plate. We split a pasta which was good too. If we could have stopped there, we would have. The main course, a vegetable pot pie, was utterly bland and uninteresting. The desserts were pretty to look at it, but nothing special to eat. Overall, we were very disappointed as our bill (no had no alcohol), with tip, was $200. Not worth it by a long shot.
Nice atmosphere, good food, the only complaint was the pull apart monkey bread appetizer, it was excessively greasy. The carrot risotto was really yummy.
The 5 of us were squished around a 4 person table that was in close quarters to other tables upstairs .
The brunch was terrific! Service was attentive and food was delicious. It is my new favorite go to champagne brunch spot.
I chose Corridor before a show at the Orpheum - it’s a short walk and very much worth it! On Saturday the menu is a fixed price brunch menu, very good value and absolutely delicious. I will be back for sure!
Great for pre show dinner.
Our dinner dishes arrived about 10 minutes before we had to leave for the theatre. Our waiter was apologetic, knowing we were headed to a 7pm show, so don’t know where the delay occurred.
We were seated promptly upstairs for early dinner before Hamilton. We waited a bit and when the server came by for our drink order tried to order some appetizers at the same time and were told they needed our entire food order together. The cocktail was good but had to wait for the monkey bread and calamari appetizers which were both good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees as well- scallops, chicken and pasta . However two of us waited a good ten minutes for our food while the other two dug in. Not so good. Glad we tried it but probably won’t return.
Booked, month before appointment and had to sit in very uncomfortable seats. When I asked about it they seemed unconcerned about it.
Very slow service. Server was nice, not attentive enough though. Plates came out very slow. Food was delicious, and service was friendly.
I brought my boyfriend here for a birthday dinner before we caught a Hamilton show at the Orpheum Theatre. Made a 5:15 reservation, which was exactly enough time for us to have a good leisurely dinner and cocktails. We ordered a squid ink pasta dish, the monkey bread, and the truffle chicken; all of the dishes were excellent and huge (we couldn’t finish!). Cocktails were also superb. Highly recommend for intimate dinners (especially if you get seating upstairs)!
Stuffed chicken was served with “bread pudding” and vegetables. Both sides were
Over cooked, dry and minimal amount .
Monkey Pod Bread is delicious.
Food, staff, service...all excellent. We had a good time.
Great spot—especially if you are going to show nearby. The food was delicious and was a short walk to the ballet.
Before the Hamilton play.
Food was really good and the place was really clean and stylish. Went there with 8 others and we all enjoyed it.
The food at Coridor is consistently superior. The personnel make me feel like a super star. I am a huge fan.
Really great new spot! Better food than ALL of our regular pre-theater/concert spots in Hayes Valley & Civic Center. Service was good. The downstairs is a bar area and there's a small upstairs that's a little calmer for table seating. I had the carrot risotto and it was outstanding, and my cocktail was excellent too. Will definitely be going back next time we're in the area.
We had never heard of this place but were going to Davies Symphony Hall. The food was good....the menu was small but had good choices. The food was great. The Monkey Bread is a MUST! Service was top notch. It's a fun Bistro-ish place that can get noisy, but it's fun.
The food that we got was excellent- one of our appetizers had not come by the time our main courses were served, so I told them to forget it, which was frustrating. Other than that,
Great food nice server
I love this ace. Convienent to play, opera, symphony and ballet. Had the butternut squash soup for lunch. Excellent. Will he back on 12/10/19 for dinner
There was no chicken on my chicken Cobb salad - come on!
We ate before the SF Opera. The food took a little too long for us to enjoy before the performance at 7:30pm.
It was delicious once we got the good and the kids and we adults loved it!
My only critique is the TVs.
I don’t like TVs at a nice restaurant. It’s really unnecessary.
It’s not a sports bar.
I find them distracting & think they take away from the ambiance.
I did really enjoy the food and will come back again before a Symphony, Ballet or Opera performance!
Corridor serves fabulous food.
Absolutely fabulous ! Came here before attending performance at Orpheum Theatre and it was spot on for convenience and timeliness. Our show was at 7:00 pm so we made 5:15 reservations. Had just enough time to walk to the theatre, purchase a beverage and get in our seats.
I would highly recommend this restaurant! They were very attentive to detail, wished us a Happy Anniversary and even brought us each a glass of champagne to toast! The food was fabulous, without being overly heavy or filling. Loved it!
Owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Had a delicious carrot risotto. Perfect location for evening at nearby theaters.
