Great place to meet and dine with friends or a date with your wife. Creekwood is the place to check out.
The item we wnated was no longer available along with the appetizer we asked for. Wait staff was forgetful and not very attaentive at all. The food we did get was phenominal, although one of the entrees was almost ten minutes after the other four. All in all, great food and very mediocre service. Did I mention it was VERY loud inside?
Food was pretty fresh. Pizza was good, appetizer (gnudi) could have used a bit more marinara sauce, but they seemed to be open to feedback and happily obliged to my request for more. Wine had gone a little sour, but it was overall a very pleasant dining experience. Offered great bread. I’ve also gone for brunch, and their falafels were the best I’ve had, even if a little different.
Great, interesting food. Best beignet ever had.
Splendid food - friendly service. Highly recommend
A noisy place, very limited menu. Over priced for the experience and food. Many better rest.s in Bly.
Hello John, we are sorry you didn't enjoy our restaurant. We hope you give us another try!
Service was prompt and courteous, food absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the grilled Monterrey squid appetizer and the agnolotti pasta dish. Menu items were creative and well executed. Owners were warm and friendly -- definitely making sure our special occasion dining experience was a good one!
Thank you Maggie! Glad that you enjoyed everything!
Met a friend here for breakfast. Service was awesome and they were very attentive. Food was delicious and proportions were just right. Nice area with ample street parking.
We had a great meal, Creekwood was a new find with a very friendly staff
Excellent interesting food mixing California ingredients with Italian-style. Pasta and pizza were especially good. Attentive, friendly service - owner stopped by to say hello and make sure everything was just right. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem.
very good rit eye steak, potato excellent too. The broccolini too tough with unwelcome sauce. Service good, staff friendly, seemingly happy.
Creekwood Restaurant has a nice aesthetic and friendly people. We were there for a Sunday brunch. The food was tasty even though the Avocado Toast was underwhelming. They also ran out of biscuits which were a part of a few dishes we wanted. The eggs were cooked very nicely and the fried chicken was crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The mimosas and coffees were fresh and delicious.
The service was extremely slow. We waited for about 50 minutes for our food (and there was no apology for the wait). The noise level was a little high for such a small place. It was tasty food but a little pricey.
Pretty place, lovely owners, delicious food, smart service.
Great service, food, and engaging staff
The food was very good. Everyone was very nice but they forgot our iced tea. I am definitely planning on going back. The brunch menu is great.
I love the quality, limited menu which has something for everyone. The owner and staff make everyone feel welcome.
Really enjoyed our meal. Nice portions and very fresh ingredients. We all had Pasta and were very pleased with our choices.
What stands out to me about Creekwood is the quality of service. Everyone from the host to the waiter to the busboy is attentive, friendly and efficient
I just thought I old try this place out and my first experience was delightful. The end ire staff was kind and helpful. I work in the industry so that was really refreshing to experience! I had the lamb and was more than happy with it! Delish!
I would ll bd returning to try the ribeye.
Creekwood is a hidden gem in this neighborhood. We were fortunate enough to sit outside and watch the locals walking their dogs or strolling with their children. As they passed the restaurant, many stopped to look at the menu, and the managers were always there to give them a little "411" about Creekwood. I hope the neighborhood will embrace this gem! All the food is delicious, however, ask your server (or the managers), which dishes are good for that day. Sometimes they have fresh ingredients being used in one of the menu items and might not empathize that when they tell you the specials.
Brought myself back with 2 more guests. My nephew and his partner thoroughly enjoyed the squid (of corse) the mushroom pizza and the salad. We were quite full and happy! You did it again Creekwood!!’
We took our family to Creekwood for dinner while visiting our son at UC Berkeley. Every dish we had was fantastic. The service was top notch. We ended our meal with dessert and coffee on the patio. Will be back again and again whenever we are in town.
Squid appetizer excellent; steak and lamb chop well-cooked, but not the highest grade of meat. Tap water was tepid; had to ask for ice water, which came promptly when requested. Deserts were not served at the same time, which made me eat mine while my wife had nothing, and then had me watching while she ate hers. Affogato served with coffee already poured rather than poured at the table, as it should be.
Creekwood Restaurant had some good dishes and some fair dishes...but the cost was the difficult part. Two diners had the octopus appetizer, the burrata and tomato appetizer, gnocci pasta . steak and lamb chop plus 3 glasses of wine and the bill with tip came to $205.
The sporot of the place gas chabged. Fewer staff...and the person who greeted us at the door and seated us was also our waitress. And we never felt we had her attention. She seemed to be spending more time talking to the bartender then checking on us.
Hope they can make the adjustments that would bring it back to what it used to be.
We have had better meals at other places for less...and a more attentive staff.
Sorry to write this.
Excellent food and service! We ordered the gnudi, calamari (both appetizers), the mushroom pizza, and the spaghetti. Two glasses of white wine, then 2 glasses of red. The calamari was probably the best I have ever had, and the pizza and spaghetti were excellent, although everything was unusually rich. We both agreed, but others might not. Because it was so rich we would have been fine with just the pizza or the pasta. Or, maybe we should have skipped the gnudi. Unlike the reviewers on Yelp, we did not care for the gnudi. It absolutely was too rich, too big, and it just didn’t have amazing flavors. It was actually kind of ordinary. The service was fantastic, all four glasses of wine were perfect. For some reason the inside of the restaurant reminded me of Stella Nona. (But I have not been there in years). We made reservations on a Friday evening which I recommend. Definitely going back!
A good solid restaurant with a nicely curated menu. 2 of our7 dishes were outstanding, 2 were quite good, and the others were ok.
Grilled squid salad & gnocci were stellar. Pizza was tasty, but undercrust was soggy & oily. Green beans were good.
Desserts were adequate, but not a highlight.
Very pleasant restaurant, food good, but too oily/greasy.
Great food! Excellent service - so friendly and kind. It’s a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with delightful food choices. I like the squid salad to share as a starter. We had a tasty mushroom pizza and blistered green beans with delicious crispy onions. It was dinner for three of us. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff. The chicken was crisp and delicious and the green beans with crispy shallots were outstanding. Desserts were beautiful but not quite up the rest of the meal.
Everything was top notch! We were there for lunch, for a birthday celebration. We started with sugar and cinnamon beignets. They came to us warm, with a crunchy exterior and a fluffy interior. Omg! They were sublime! We also ordered the burger and soft scramble and everything was delicious and cooked very well. Ben was attentive but did not hover. The restaurant was very sleek looking and comfortable. We plan to return soon!
3rd time eating there and always excellent. Greg greets everyone and makes you feel at home.
This was our second visit, the first shortly after the restaurant opened. At that time, the noise level with a full house was bordering on painful. The owner said that they would be putting in sound absorption, so I thought I'd give it another try. With only a few tables occupied, it was loud. As the restaurant filled up, it got to be too loud. Regretfully we won't be back.
They did not acknowledge it was a birthday.
Amazing food, amazing service, overall fantastic experience. Would recommend to all for brunch or dinner.
We sat outside and it was delightful. The waiter was very attentive and we could not ask for better service. The food was delicious and very tasty. Overall it was wonderful and we will definitely be back.
Possibly the most delicious and inventive cuisine in Berkeley, with large ports and very reasonable portions, in an architecturally stunning space with attentive and fun staff.
We went in late on a not busy Tuesday night. The service was top notch. The menu is small but they did everything really well. I highly recommend it.
Rib eye was chewy and unappetizing. The only one who asked me about it was the bus person.
I think the food is too expensive for what you get. Every item is sold separately, so when you order the chicken that is all you get, no salad or vegetables. The pasta was cooked al dente and I got sick and was unable to finish my meal.
Good food, friendly staff, excellent service and ambience, convenient location and easy parking. I highly recommend Creekwood!
