Crust & Crate - Lansdowne
The wine was too expensive!! The food was great! The atmosphere was not great , very down. The need to work on the entrance and the tables close to the entrance.
Restaurant was quite busy (67s) game. Server was super nice and friendly. Food delivery to the table was a little slow. My husband did not enjoy Craft beer and would have liked to have other draft and bottle selections.
It started off.poorly with no one t the door to greet us since a huge hockey tems table s getting prepped upstairs. But once we got in and went to the bed to sort things out. It went well.
They offer delicious Pizzas, pretty fast even on a busy day.
Love this place. It is our go-to before 67’s games!
French fries that came with childrens meals were less than adequate. Were like undercooked frozen fries. Notified wait staff and received an apology while the children had portion of meal paid for. Disappointed..
I had dinner in the Crust & Crate to celebrate the New Year Eva with my family. It was pleased— pure Canadian style!
The restaurant was woefully understaffed. We had to chase down one of the two wait staff working after sitting at our table unassigned for 20 minutes to even be able to place our order. We ordered our drinks and meals at the same time, but after 40 more minutes of waiting our food still wasn’t ready. When we told the manager we needed to leave soon because we didn’t expect to be sitting in the restaurant for an hour without being served yet, he promised that our food would be the next out only to have two more tables served before us. Unfortunately this was the last straw and we left hungry and disappointed to eat hot dogs at the ‘67s game. At least they won that day...
We made a reservation through Open Table for 6 PM on a Sunday. The place was packed likely due to the nearby Lansdowne Christmas Market. We were seated next to the open kitchen which was not the best location - busy with servers and very noisy. It took forever to be served. The food was good though. Later we got an email stating that the restaurant said we had cancelled our reservation therefore we got no OT points. Not so, the restaurant was happy to charge my CC. I complained to OT and they gave me my 100 points. Good on OT, bad on the Crust & Crate. I won't say that I will never go back but they did not leave us with a good impression.
It was good, we have been a few times...but both pizzas that we ordered were abit burnt....the fish and chips, the piece needed abit more cooking...he started at the one end and when he got to the other it was quite mushy
.alittle late then to complain...
Service was slow.
First time there and the service was bad. The waiter was fresh and had the entire upstairs section to herself. She never asked us if we wanted new drinks. We were there from 8pm-10pm, and I only had one glass of wine.
Great meal. Great drink. Great ambience. Landsdowne and Crust and Crate make for a wonderful destination!
Amazing pizza at affordable rates
The food is overpriced for what you get.
$15 for 8 small chicken wings.
Service was ok.
Had better food and service at other restaurants.
Decent food, good pizza options, good for kids. I appreciate they will take a reservation on a busy weekend evening.
Our group of 4 enjoyed our dinner there. I thought there were a good number of choices for different tastes, including vegetarian dishes. I had the Nachos which came with sides of Guacamole, sour cream and homemade salsa: very good, loads of cheese and I was able to remove the hot peppers easily. The others had wood-fired pizza, the specialty, and the crust was amazing. The service was lovely, staff was attentive and smiling. The restaurant is right by TD Place, Lansdowne Park and good shopping.
We ordered the nachos which were not very good at all. Just chips with some melted shredded cheese only on the top and a little bit of toppings. Considering the regular price for it, definitely not worth it. The side guacamole was amazing though. I had the Mario pizza as my entree and it was amazing!! Definitely would recommend their pizza!
Our server seemed to forget about us though. Our nachos sat in the window while he was talking to coworkers that were arriving to work instead of bringing them to our table. We ended up asking another server if those nachos were for us, and they were, so he brought them to our table (not our server). We had to again ask a different server for more water at the table (only two of us) after waiting 10 mins trying to get our servers attention. He seemed very scattered and this was much before it even got busy in there with the Christmas party going on in the one half.
Overall I would recommend to eat here but maybe avoid the appetizers unless you’re there for the special $10 apps deal. One thing to note is the chairs are all high up, so there was a lady beside us that couldn’t get up and ended up leaving because of it.
Great food! Wonderful service! Recommend to all!
The restaurant was pretty much empty, and we were there to take our time for dinner as we had a good 2h45 before our movie. However, even after telling the waiter that we were in no rush, he was always coming back to the table to get our next course order, as if he was in some kind of rush. We ordered drinks, then an appetizer, then more drinks, then our mains. If there were any specials that night, our server never mentioned them.
Also, someone took away our utensils after the appetizer, and we never got new ones. 10 minutes into receiving the mains, I had been trying to get the waiter's attention, but he was busy chatting and having a drink with the buss boy and other waitress behind the bar, so I had to get up and get new settings myself from another table.
Food was ok, good sized pizza and fresh. I tought 13$ for a small handful of fried cauliflower was a bit much, especially since they only tasted like hot sauce and nothing else.
All in all, it was an ok dinner experience, but nothing to make me want to come back. Not looking for any compensation, only our impressions my husband and I.
Nice place, good pizza, friendly crew. I will probably go back.
Excellent ambience, good service and menu selection. We were early but were given our table as soon as we arrived, which was great instead of standing and waiting in the entrance.
Troy was an amazing server, polite, funny & courteous. We had to wait a little extra for our food but without asking or complaining, he recognized and made sure we were happy! When I made the reservation I was asked if there was an occasion we were celebrating, which was my son's birthday. At the end of the meal, Troy came out with cute little cake and ice cream. We will definitely be returning and celebrating other occasions there. Highly recommended!
The food was great. Greeted with a smile and seated right away. Everyone enjoyed their pizza. Service was attentive, drinks were kept full and the server was friendly. A solid choice before any TD place event.
Family outing on a Sunday afternoon. 5 star all around! We will definitely be back. Loved the style of pizza!
Our table was not ready when we arrived even though it was pretty empty in the dining area. The device was slow and the food was just okay. It was the second time we were there but this time was not like our first visit when they first opened. Pretty disappointed.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant and and absolutely loved the food . The 3 of us all ordered separate pizzas and each one was delicious. We definitely will return.
We had a family get together most of the group enjoyed the food but myself personally I did not enjoy the experience
I had the pizza and i found It was lacking pizza sauce and not much flavour
I would try it again in a group setting if asked to go
Service was ok,
Overall it was only ok nothing special
Food was excellent and creative. Calamari with fried lemon slice quite surprising but amazing good.
Apparently they were short staffed and a couple of large sports groups showed up ...as a result we waited over 45 minutes for our food. My husband asked for more tartar sauce which did not arrive until he was done his meal.
Great location, delicious food and we had the best server! Thank you.
Great crust on pizza but toppings were a disappointment
Food was fantastic! Very original. Service was outstanding. The atmosphere was friendly & relaxed. We were not rushed very casual. We will definitely go back.
Awesome place. Great food. Great atmosphere, and great servers. First time here and will definitely be comin back. The fish n chips were amazing!!!!!
Great pizza! My fave is the Mario’s shopping cart pizza with white sauce instead of tomato sauce.
Good food, but the drinks are overpriced. The waiter was rude and threw items on the table. Wasn't very impressed overall.
The food was good, but the service was only just ok. If they worked on the service staff, it would have been much better.
Not what what we expected. Our first server was very pleasant; when their shift was over, our next server ignored us as we watched them fawn over what seemed to be the more 'exciting' patrons in the place. I had to order our next round by chasing them to the order station after multiple passes by our table without checking in; and then no courtesy apology for having to catch them to place our order. Food was fair. Not going back.
While the food has the potential to be very good, our experience was less than ordinary. I had indicated in the reservation we were celebrating a birthday and gifts were exchanged yet the staff did not offer any recognition of the celebration. And all pizzas, both those on gluten free crusts and those on regular were over cooked on the edges. The one thing I will give the staff credit for is when I found something hairlike on my last slice of pizza, they did not charge for my food which is very fair.
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Arrived in plenty of time and due to terrible service we were late for the game. Crappy food, bad service and horrible staff. Never again.....
