Cultivar SF is an intimate, wine-centric farm to table restaurant by Cultivar Wine. Featuring a menu inspired by locally-sourced seasonal ingredients including from our culinary garden at Caspar Estate. The menu complements hand-crafted wines from our Cultivar Winery as well as boutique wines from California and beyond. Offering our Cultivar Wine club flight and a customizable wine club. Sidewalk tables on Chestnut have heaters, great for people watching and guests with dogs.
Our back patio has a fireplace, overhead heaters and festive lighting, perfect setting for a private dinner or a celebration. The patio can be rented out on its own or with the interior as well.
Seasonal dishes and Cultivar Wines available for take out and to go.
Our location is near the Lyon St. entrance to the Presidio, near the Palace of Fine Arts and in the Marina District of San Francisco.

We were looking for a place to dine before a show at Palace of Fine Arts. Lots of options in the neighborhood and we picked a winner. The patio at Cultivar is an absolutely beautiful setting. We were fortunate to be seated near the amazing fireplace. A bottle of their Syrah was our wine selection and it did not disappoint. Every dish we chose was incredibly delicious. The value for the wine, food, and atmosphere was excellent. Definitely would return.

Cultivar is one of my very favorite places to go for great wine, food, and atmosphere. I love the back patio which is always warm and cozy, even on a drizzly night. The waitstaff is warm and welcoming and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We split burrata and tomatoes, shishito peppers, and fish tacos. All delicious. And a bottle of Cultivar rose, also yummy.

We decided to go to Cultivar for Sunday brunch. The food was good, but the service was a bit inconsistent. We sat in the front patio, and there was a bit of noise (I would choose back patio next time). One of us got the breakfast burrito and the other got the steak hash. Highly recommend both! We will be returning to check out the back area next time.

We ate in the outdoor courtyard behind the restaurant and enjoyed the ambiance very much. Attentive service and quite good food. We had a cobb salad, grilled cheese sandwich and shared a tomato soup. And a glass of pinot noir. Very nice.

I would probably not come here for anything more than casual get-together happy-hour style. The restaurant touts their farm-to-table style and they deliver. The food was good, unless you are vegan. There is a cauliflower rice dish that's rather dry.

Our first experience at Cultivar. We had to wait in the door and the place was almost empty except for a group of ladies (in pink) nobody took the time to greet us. After, we were sat it took more than average minutes to get attention again on our table. Food was excellent and our drinks too. We love to drive to the city and to try different places. We aren’t sure if we will go back to Cultivar.

I would of given 1 less star on the service, however they looked a little short of help. The manager or hostess should of stepped up to give the poor girl a hand. Other than that the meal was very good

The food was okay but the service was not so great. We had a reservation at 8:00 pm but didn't get seated until 8:20, which is fine with us given they seem short-staffed. However, after our food came out and things started to slow down, we were never checked on for the rest of the night and had to grab the food runner who walked pass us for our bill.

Fathers Day brunch: Good food, nice portions for the price. Croque Madame was delicious, rich bechamel and plenty of ham. My family likes the cobb and Caesar salads. Our server was efficient but not friendly, and didn’t do a check-in after our food was served. One side dish didn’t show up with our entrees, but they delivered it and removed it from the check. We liked their house brand organic Sauv Blanc okay, but didn’t love it - somewhat dry/astringent, not much of the mineral, citrus, or grassy characteristics I enjoy in that varietal.

We arrived approximately 5 mins prior to our resi. The restaurant appeared to be closed as the chairs and stools we’re on the tables. The manager came to the door to advise that the restaurant had some sort of problem and that they were, in fact, closed. Fortunately, we walked a few feet to A16 where we were able to get a table. There was no notification from Open Table or from Cultivar to convey that the restaurant was closed.

We went for Sunday brunch with out-of-town family. We were seated immediately, although 2 of us didn't arrive at the restaurant for a half hour after our reservation time due to an inability to find a parking space. We each ordered a different breakfast, and all were excellent. There were some interesting variations on basics such as breakfast burrito or bacon (substitute pork belly) and eggs. Service was efficient, and we were allowed to linger as long as we liked to visit even after we had finished eating. The one downside was the parking. The area is very popular and has many restaurants and shops. Finding a parking space is very hard and time-consuming. There is a public garage on Pierce Street, but it was full. Obviously, Cultivar can't control the parking situation, but just be aware of it and allow extra time.

Great wine selection and knowledgeable wait staff help steer you to something you will enjoy. Food was good although the menu did not offer as many options as the last time I was there. Service was excellent! Ambiance is nice, refined and comfortable too. The heat was turned up too high, at least for where we were seated, for the last 2/3rds of the time we were there.

Great brunch menu! We booked outside (because we brought our dog) but it didn't take away from the experience. Will definitely be back! The inside of the restaurant looks super cute and the wine were delicious.

Top notch team at Cultivar. Our host, Nick, started us off with amazing wine. We had a truly great experience for the birthday. Delicious farm-to-table fettuccini, salmon, burrata, hummus, grilled cheese and more were enjoyed by all!

There were 5 people in our group! Once the food came you could hear a pin drop! That’s how good the food was. We did our own tasting menu! I can’t say that one dish was better than the others! Tuna tartare, burratto, stuffed artichokes, pasta with the asparagus, chicken skewers, all off the charts! So effen delicious! Thank you to the extraordinaire chef! I was just there for Mother’s Day brunch, didn’t know it was possible to outdo that meal! 😋😋😋

We made reservation for brunch on Mother's day. Table was ready upon arrival. Staff were hustling because they were busy. Staff were all great and efficient! Food is good. This is the 3rd time we have dined at Cultivarband we enjoyed all three visits!

Took 1-star off. After dinner & payment, was asked to move to the bar before finishing drinks - despite nobody else waiting for a table & it was after 9pm. Disappointing end, despite great food & waiter service.
