Cut 158 Chophouse
We decided to eat at Cut 158 because we were going to see a band at the Rialto Square Theatre, which this restaurant is within walking distance to. So for starters it was difficult to find, the store front was small, and I have no idea were the name of the restaurant was located. For the menu, it was small, probably no more than 25 items on the menu, which I'm not opposed to, I just wish they had a few more items on the menu that weren't so high priced. Our server was outstanding, and the food was good, just pricey. To be honest I do not think I would go back just because of the price point.
Great service, better food, close to everything.
Lamp pops were to die for . Surf and turf delicious
Excellent service . Seated promptly at our reservation time. Server very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food prepared excellently and steak was amazing..no pressure to rush courses.. only negative was the desert menu was a bit lean. But overall a great restaurant
AMAZING. The lollipop lamb chop appetizer was by far my favorite item we ordered. We ordered the crab cakes as well, they were good, but I'm generally not a huge fan of crab cakes to begin with. The surf and turf was cooked to perfection, the cauliflower mash (which I was overly excited for given I do low carb, was to die for). The rest of the table ordered bone in ribeyes or the tomahawk which all looked delicious and were perfectly cooked to their liking. We went on a Friday night prior to the Ron White show at the Rialto so they were very busy, it took a little while for our drinks at times, but other than that, I have no complaints about the service or the food. Do not expect a cheap night out, be prepared to pay good money, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. We definitely will be back!
First time at Cut 158, and will for sure be there again. The food was delicious but more importantly, the service was amazing!
From start to finish everything was excellent! Our server was polite, knowledgeable, and kind. We had the filet and lobster tail. Both were the best we've had in a long time. Our drinks we great. The chocolate mousse cake was the perfect ending! I highly recommend you try Cut 158!
Went on Valentine's day. Very small menu choose. I would say to small. Not enough variety for first visit. Steak was good. Fish was under cooked and when brought to mangers attention, she stated that was the temperature they cook their fish which I believe was untrue. Manger did not remove from bill like she stated she would. We just paid the full bill, tipped the server and moved on. Had better food for $150 bill.
Birthday Dinner for my girlfriend she was impressed w the food and service thank you !!!!
The best food in town. Outstanding, friendly service. There’s no longer a need to travel out of town for an A class dining experience.
This restaurant was wonderful. It was done with many pieces from the past (historic) and the food and service was great. Terese was our server and she was very attentive and offered suggestions when asked. We will definitely go there again. The bar in the front was very elegant, typical of the past and this is the place to stop even if you just want a quiet drink. Excellent food! My husband is still talking about the seafood platter!
Really nice place! Food was tasty. Potions huge! Service phenomenal! Loved it. We will be going back for sure.
Excellent food and excellent service. Highly recommended! It completely made my night. Will be returning as often as possible.
The food was excellent and all of the workers were friendly and helpful.
The food and service were outstanding! The setting of where we sat was a bit odd as we were the only table seated in the middle of the room. It felt like a bit of a fishbowl feeling but the food and server were extraordinary! We’ll definitely go back but perhaps request a table along the wall!
The service was terrible. Our food order was not cooked correctly. Very expensive for the poor service
Monica was awesome....the chef went out of his way to accomodate my gluten free allergy
Food was delicious. Waitress was pleasant. Love the atmosphere. Only complaint was our first TWO choices of wine were out. I understand it was just after the holidays but it was still a little disappointing. Overall a good experience.
First timers at Cut 158 for NYE. Food, cocktails, and Service was excellent. I would definitely go there again for a special occasion or a nice evening out.
The owner is very involved showing he cares about the customer experience!
First time eating here I will say best restaurant in the suburbs from the food to the service everything was excellent
I heard a lot about Cut 158 Chophouse and it lived up to the hype. Great ambiance and the people I went with all enjoyed the food and its location too. Will definitely be coming back.
Very good quality. Very comfortable and the food was excellent
Excellent food and service...would definitely go back there again
We had a fantastic meal overall from start to finish. Stuffed mushrooms to start and everyone had a salad. Salads were amazing and the chopped was very well executed. At the table we had a filet, lamb chops and the bone in pork chop. Everyone looked their meals and the meat was cooked perfect to order. Very pleased with the service and food quality. Will be back! Go check it out.
Excellent food, service was great from all staff, very attentive. Perfect for before or after show at Rialto, very short walk from theater.
It was as very attractive. Food was great. The level of noise was pretty high. Big groups of people. Would have preferred it to be quieter.
Was delicious and our server was outstanding. Just be prepared for the cost. Not your typical Joliet area restaurant. Definitely upscale!
Outstanding steakhouse!! Only suggestion would be to offer more dessert options.
Great food and ambiance!
Food- fabulous. Service - top notch. Coming again in the future? - definitely
High school girls outing
Food was delicious, though a bit pricey.
Service was great, would definitely recommend.
The food was amazing! Cheese curds, salad, strip steak, and filet were all cooked to perfection. Dirty Martinis were also very good. I wish the server had sampled more of the food in order to answer some of the questions we had, but that is minor in my opinion. All the staff, including our server, were friendly and very attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and were given a desert on the house due to the celebration. We'll go back next time we're in town!
Great time as always!
Great and attentive service combined with an excellent meal made for a wonderful night. Our visit coincided with the restaurant hosting a special dinner menu( which was excellent ), we plan on returning to sample the rest of the menu.
Was there at opening and we’re out of the fish. Disappointing. Others in our group were satisfied with their meal
Steaks were cooked perfectly. A bit pricey, but good food. I ordered the brussel sprouts and they tasted like they were burned - otherwise food was great. I would suggest a larger menu. More seafood options and specials. We made reservations during the week for 5:30 and we were the only two in the restaurant until approximately 6:15pm.
The food was fantastic as was our waitress McKenna.
However, our party was seated next to the entrance which on a cold night was not very enjoyable.
Lesson learned...request to NOT be seated there in the winter
This was our first visit to Cut 158. A friend told us about and we thought we’d try it out. We were a little skeptical at first but the experience kept getting better and better! The food was outstanding! The chef came out to talk to us and the manager spent a great deal of time talking to us about the history and future of the restaurant. Only thing they need a little work on is the waitstaff....more knowledge and finesse are needed. We will definitely be back and recommend to others!
