Daley's on Yates
Everything was absolutely delicious!
As always, Daley on Yates was fantastic! Love it there
The restaurant is really trendy, the drinks were tasty, and the staff was attentive. Unfortunately the entrees were way way overseasoned to the point of inedibility. The manager was understanding and took care of the bill it didn’t sting as bad.
As usual, Daley’s was spot on with service and quality. Great place for a special birthday group dinner.
We’ve been to Daley’s three times. Excellent, basic food. Efficient service with the ownership joining staff in showing interest in the customers. The place feels spacious but the tables feel secluded. My favorite place, all around, in Schenectady.
Great service and interesting choices on the menu.
Wonderful evening feeling ‘attended to’ with great food in a nice setting. We will be back.
Great spot for dinner. Nice variety on the menu, with interesting variations and a range of choices that should fit any need or appetite. Our dishes were outstanding; the grilled octopus and potatoes salad was excellent, and the potato salad was as good as the octopus. My pork chop was also very good. The wine list is good; nice range of pricing and varietals, but not overwhelming. The setting is nice; modern lines mixed with some rustic textures, with lots of open space; overall impression is quality without fussiness. Top notch service as well. Definitely recommended!
Our server was rude to my friends. I was not pleased as I had recommended eating at your restaurant. He seemed to be in a hurry and not attentive. I have had great past experiences at Daley’s. For the delicious, great value food we ate, ambience we would expect a respectful & friendly waiter. At the end of our dinner, Eli assisted who was attentive & friendly. But, our waiter. We were not impressed.
Was shocked upon arriving being told there's a wait even with our reservation and next was encouraged what to order to ensure we would make Proctor's Show in timely fashion. Very odd start, but food was perfectly prepared. We ordered what we initially intended to and made show on time.
We felt uncomfortable in the low backed chairs used throughout the restaurant.
In addition, there was too much salt in all the food.
Server was not that attentive.
The portions seemed smaller than prior time.
The pot roast is still superb.
Thank you for dining with us and for your candid feedback. We were sorry to hear your chair was uncomfortable as they were chosen for their design and comfort. For your next visit, I would like to suggest requesting a table with a "banquette". You may find this seating more comfortable and it is offered in three out of four of our sections. We will keep an eye on our portion sizes for consistency. We pride ourselves on the enthusiasm & attentiveness of our team & will strive to be better
The service, the bar and the food were definitely outstanding. For an excellent restaurant, a few things that need attention: 1) the electric candles at the table were not working (no tables were working). When we commented to the waitress that each time we turned the candle on, it turned off, she commented "they need to be charged". Well ... sorry ... get REAL tea-light candles, don't have candles at all OR, if you insist, keep your electric candles charged. 2) "specials" were provided to us only 10 minutes after we were seated with menus. There is absolutely no use providing specials to your customers after they have already had 10 minutes to decide on what to eat. Best practice, whoever provides the menus should provide the specials (or write them down and put them in the menu. Many restaurants make this mistake ... Daley's should not. We would definitely go back and had a very nice time!
Perfect place to eat before Proctor’s. Attractive, good variety of good food, pleasant service.
Thank you for the great feedback and promotion of our establishment. Hope to see you again soon
Everything was great, particularly the waitress Dina( I think) my only criticism was they substituted the mash potatoes I ordered with Fingerling potatoes without telling me. The main reason I ordered the pot roast was because I wanted the mashed. Anyway Dina made it right by offering two comped desserts which we appreciated. Not a big deal , but expected more from a restaurant of this caliber. We will be back and would definitely recommend.
One of our new favorite places to dine. We have dinner before a show at Proctors, right around the corner. The food is excellent. Service is always top notch! Would definitely recommend Daley's to all my friends and family.
Thank you for a great, relaxing place to eat!
The food was outstanding as it always is at Daley’s on Yates. And the service is exceptional and the wait staff is very professional. Love this place.
Thank you for your candid feedback and support. We strive to provide all of our guests with a great experience. We hope to see you again in the near future. Cheers!
What a perfect experience from start to finish!
Thank you so much for your candid feedback. We appreciate the kind words and look forward to the next time you can dine with us!!!!!
My wife ordered the herb crusted chicken and when she cut into it she noticed it wasn’t cooked through. She called the waiter over and all he had to do was look at and he knew to take it back. I ordered the prime cut teriyaki marinated steak. It seemed like the sauce was just poured over it. I was expecting a steak that was marinated throughout but maybe that it my fault for not asking.
We got the calamari for an appetizer which was good and the drinks and wine were good as well. Our server was attentive and the place had nice ambiance.
We were offered dessert to make up for the raw chicken but we declined.
If someone wanted to go out for a good drink and appetizers than maybe this would be a nice place to go. I don’t think quality of the entrees are worth the cost and probably won’t return.
For the second visit in a row, two of the dishes did not contain the ingredients described on the menu (specifically the Mediterranean platter had no olives or haricot verts and only a single bit of artichoke, and a another dish was missing its shaved parmesan) and the salmon portion was smaller than the 8 oz advertised. They were also a bit short-staffed. It felt like corners were being cut.
Food was great. Prices for entrees are a bit on the higher side though. Waitress was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. She brought bread right away to the table, which was a nice touch. Noise was moderate on a Friday night. There is a step up to one dining area at the back, which is difficult to see when leaving. The step needs a better marking. Overall, a very nice dining experience. We will be back.
Thank you for dining with us and for the candid feedback. We will continue to remind our guests of the "Step Up" into the back dining room. That is actually why there is a bright blue led light in the floor so as to draw guest attention to the step. Thank you again for dining with us. We truly look forward to seeing you again in the near future! Cheers
It is a very beautiful restaurant but there are many local dining options with equal or better food quality at a lesser price
Holiday dinner with friends.... Great experience, delicious food and outstanding service. We all loved our meal and dessert.
Daley's is our favorite place to meet friends and relax. The service is excellent, but not intrusive. The food is creative or traditional (pot roast) if you like and delicious as well as creatively presented. If you're a whiskey lover like me you can visit Daley's many, many times before having the same whiskey twice. Great place!
Staff, drinks, and cuisine are consistently top-drawer...
Excellent wait staff, food, etc. it was a nice place to take my Mom for her birthday. We have been before, and will definitely be back!
I would have preferred it if our server had told us the price of the special. We both ordered it and while it was good, we had a bit of sticker shock when we got the bill!
We have been there numerous times and always have great food and a great time
Our waitress was amazing. The ambience was well worth it. However my husband and I both had steaks and we’re very displeased with the flavor. They seem to be a bit overcooked. However everything else was well worth it.
They accommodated our party and we made our play but the food was disappointing. Too salty and several people did not finish their dishes. Underwhelming. Unfortunately
Great food and drinks! One of our favorite spots! On the more expensive side- it’s a treat!
We had 5:15 reservation. We were going to a 7pm Proctors show, we all wanted something light and had ordered only appetizers. We each ordered a glass of house wine. We were seated in an empty dinning room with a view of those garage doors looking at a parking lot. Our waitress came back to our table 3 different times after ordering to say they were out of this and out of that. Other patrons had been seated and had their dinners as we still waited for our appetizers......Fearing to be late for the show at 6:30 we asked for our check to be ready with boxes for our appetizers, we were still waiting for two of the five apps we had ordered! After an hour and 15 minutes we took our $95 dinner in boxes! This is a high end Resturant with most entrees $28-$50. Just unacceptable!! One of the house wines cost $16 and I doubt there was 6 ounces in the glass. We are born and bred Schenectadadians that frequent all of the new and wonderful Resturants In our proud city....my suggestion to Daley’s is go back to Troy and stay there!
The food took a long time especially compared to people around us. The server did not check with us after the initial order. Acknowledging it had been a long time and the food was on its way would’ve been great. The filet was too peppered for our taste. Shrimp cocktail was great.
Always on point for a casual well executed experience. Something for every taste from the bar to the menu.
Fantastic service, excellent food, and a great atmosphere. It was a little more expensive compared to most restaurants in the area ($120 for dinner for 2 with entree's app, dessert and a couple of glasses of wine, then a $40 tip), but absolutely worth it in my opinion. Menu was varied without being overwhelming and had a good mix of classics and adventurous food.
Great service. Reservation was available 10 minutes early. We were seated right away. The food was excellent. Prime rib and salmon.
Our water never ran out. Will return soon.
Our dinners and staff were great!
Have been waiting to get here...it did not disappoint! Will recommend to anyone.
Just love this place. Awesome addition to Schenectady dining scene!
First time here for dinner, loved it! The food was great, the atmosphere was awesome & our waitress was top notch, will definitely be back, thank you!
We were so excited to see the inside of this restaurant! It’s very open and well lit. During warmer months there are doors that open up to a patio with gas fireplaces and comply couches! The ambiance and service are excellent!
We were seated in the fireplace room and Eric was our waiter. He told us about the nightly specials , and we selected the pot roast, which is a favorite! It was my birthday and Eric brought me a pumpkin tart with a lit candle!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you!
