This just wasn’t good. Wasn’t worth the price. So much disappointment all around. It definitely lost its flare!
Amazing food and service to match. Deep wine selection coupled with knowledgeable sommelier. Fabulous experience. Wowed the pants off our guests.
The restaurant was beautiful but I expected much better with regard to the food, especially given the cost.
Great space, great service, and exceptional food. Perfect spot for a romantic date night.
Del Posto is wonderful for lunch. The prix fix is a great value for this fine dining restaurant. The food and service were top notch. It's lovely for a special occasion.
Absolutely the most overrated Italian restaurant I have ever been too. Beautiful with great service, but the food was subpar and outrageously expensive. $500 for two adults and a child. We ordered two salads, two main dishes and one child’s pasta with three adult drinks. The main dishes and salad were bland. The child’s past was good though and my daughter loved the butter. Lol. The largest portion on the menu was the butter.
Outstanding service. A very enjoyable last evening in New York.
New Year’s Day
I had a high expectation. When I got there nice specious entrance and dining area. Service was good and attentive. Wine and salad was ok. But 2 pasta was unacceptably salty. I mentioned it. Then main dish Branzino was again salty. Tuna for my wife was as well. I don’t mind to pay 600.00 but not for this. Very disappointed.
Family of 4 wearing jeans and sneakers seated in main dining room for New Years Eve Lunch. I recall once in the summer i was wearing a suit with dress sandals and not allowed to eat...
No longer serving cocktails at the bar, only food service (the bar was empty) no one came to take drink order in the “ lounge” seating, decided to just go to table
Live piano music no longer at lunch
Several dishes not up to previous standard, lasagna tasted like burnt tomato paste
Lunch Prices raised.
Bathroom towels and hand soap no longer superior.
Table service excellent as always
Ambiance- stellar as always
Best deal in NYC for a pre-fixe lunch....wonderful setting, superb service compliments what is a fantastic tasting lunch menu. It's not inexpensive but it will be a memorable meal with one of the most extensive wine lists in the city. Enjoy a classic Italian meal in a sophisticated and inviting setting.
Most of the dishes were too salty. I ordered waguy beef which was so tough. The steak knife was so dull. with the tough beef and the dull knife, it was not an enjoyable meal. I have dined at Del Posto a few times in the past and I would not return again.
Excellent service dining experience combined with an amazing meal and wine pairing experience
We did 5 course tasting menu
It was wonderful and one of the best meals ever!!
The host should of been more welcoming. I had to interrupt them so we can be acknowledged. Everything after that was amazing. I will give them a second chance.
Mike was a great host and server etc.
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience dining at Del posto.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family
Incredible evening for a special occasion. Unique dishes, endless wine list and great atmosphere.
Food was superb! Service was excellent! It was a bitter cold grey day that was warmed and brightened by the caring attention we received. We look forward to our next visit.
Holiday lunch...service was great, food incredible. Best restaurant in NYC.
The food, the service and the ambiance are marvelous!! The cost is absurd!!!
I think their seafood soup made me sick.
Took too long for cocktails to be served and for menus to be given to us.
The Captain’s Tasting was underwhelming. There were 4 of us and we could have tasted more if we got the standard tasting menu and chose our own appetizers and main dishes. We paid $95/pp for white truffle on our pasta and they were not generous with it at all (compared to other restaurants in NYC that charges the same price).
Yes it is expensive but the food, service, and atmosphere is topnotch! We will go back!
While this is a beautiful venue with delicious food, our service was really sub par. Two of us were served our main course but nothing arrived for the third person until we were finished eating! This was especially disheartening as it is an annual holiday time celebration among good friends.
Setting more suitable to a steakhouse, formal service as in an old-fashioned French restaurant, pastas well executed but hardly inventive, superb mains and desserts, pricing out of line. Needs a refresh in decor, style, menu.
Del Posto has been our favorite NYC restaurant for years.
Unfortunately, based on our recent visit we will probably not be back.
After being seated we were asked about our choice of water and after it was poured we were effectively ignored for the next 15 minutes. When we were finally asked by an unidentified young woman if we were ordering wine, she delivered an iPad-based wine list and walked away - ignoring our preference to start with cocktails. When she finally returned and we were able to order them but then 20 minutes passed before they were served. Simultaneous with that, we were served amuse bouches by two other servers who appeared confused by why they were serving them along with cocktails.
Two bar items that we ordered were never delivered - somehow lost in the Del Posto ether.
Service was slow, disorganized and confused. Most significantly, the food was only fair.
Sorry to say that Del Posto's magic may have been lost.
Best meal I've ever had! So glad we were able to get a reservation during the holiday season. Really made our whole trip to New York so memorable!!
It was a little pricey but it was worth every penny. It was the most delicious meal I ever had. The wait staff was also amazing.
Amazing dinner. The Captain’s menu is an 8-course taster encompassing seasonal flavours of a revisited Italian cousin. Must try among New York restaurants
Everything was outstanding. Beautiful restaurant.
The food and service were wonderful as usual. The gnocchis were particularly outstanding. We had the wine pairing which I was a very good idea. It was expensive but we expected that.
Excellent wine list!!!
Overall a great dining experience! The food was excellent, but certainly not memorable ( like our first experience at Del Posto). The sommelier was approachable and made an excellent selection at a reasonable price. The wait staff was simply outstanding. Fun night
It’s just one of the most special, gorgeous and delicious restaurants ever.
One of our favorite restaurants in NYC. The food and wine pairings are spot on. The service is amazing. Only one critic, is we made a late reservation and it was apparent we were being rushed a bit through our meal. First time this happened, not a big deal just out of the ordinary for Del Posto
Vegan option. Awesome.
The food was outstanding. Second time here and it did not disappoint. I’ve eaten at a lot of starred restaurants and many are not memorable. Del Posto serves you things you’ve never had before, even if you are a sophisticated diner and I appreciate that.
