This is a great little restaurant. The bar is nice if you just want a drink, it offer local craft beers and wine plus all the other labels. The pizza bar is fun for the kids and the dining room is cozy. The setting couldn’t be better, a large glass wall looks out onto the St. Lawrence river. This alone would be enough but the limited menu means that everything is freshly made and there are daily specials. In the summer there is an outside patio that is right on the water. Sitting there on a summer evening watching a ship go up river is one of life’s greatest pleasures. You should always make a reservation as it’s busy year around. A must go spot if you are in the 1000 Islands
Awesome for date night wonderful food great service
Food was average ... price seemed high for what we had. Linguini with clam sauce had 3 whole clams!! Chicken Marsala was bland. I think I’ll try the pizza next time. Not impressed with the food but the place is very nice as was the wait staff
Excellent choice as we had gift certificate from family friend as a thank you, but we wanted to try anyways and NOT disappointed.
Long waits. Pizza cold when it was brought out. No napkins.
Great quality food, great wine selection, and good service. The only criticism that we have is the high table we sat at this time was pretty wobbly; enough to cause our water glasses to spill. Overall a great experience, and we will definitely make it a regular restaurant at which we dine.
A bowl of soup at $18. is way overpriced. We waited a while for bread, soup and salad, then the meal came out just as we were starting on the soup and salad. That means the meal got cold while we finished the soup and salad. The view is amazing. The staff friendly and the restaurant is very nice, though. We might have just caight them on a bad night because we have been there several times and this is the first time it wasn't up to par. The food was delicious.
We had an excellent experience here. Most exceptional was the customer service.
Love the fresh high quality food, as always great service, wonderful setting, our favorite go to restaurant in the thousand islands.
Our second time there, food was just as good as the first time. Ordered the arancini, campanelle ragu and chicken parmigiana had the eggplant first time. Love the river view, food hot, fast service. Definitely going back, the pizzas look awesome!
Amazing food and ambiance. Best seafood I’ve had in a long time. The scallops were bomb diggity.
We had an amazing waitress named HeyHey (spelling?) she was new but was so nice and attentive. The drinks were a low point. Their soda is always flat with no fizz... it has tasted like syrup the last few times. The food was ok. I had the vodka ravioli and my guest had the tuna. Both of our dinners were ok. The real winner here is the location. You really cannot get a better view.
We were in Clayton and ABay for the International Antique and Classic Boat Show. Since we were going to be in Clayton for the day, I looked up places to have dinner. Based on reviews I chose DiPrinzio’s. Upon arrival we were seated promptly, even though we were 15 minutes early. It was the beginning of a jazz festival so there was a pianist playing right behind us, but even though we were close to him, it was very pleasant. I ordered the eggplant parm, very tasty, my son had the lamb chops-he enjoyed them very much, my husband had the calamari which was cooked nicely. Appetizer was the rice balls, just delicious and not greasy at all. I had a special drink-maple old fashioned-which was wonderful. The physical place was clean, bright and right on the water. I would recommend DiPrinzio’s to anyone looking for good food, good value and a good time.
Food was prepared perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive.
Beautiful view of the Saint Lawrence just adds to the overall experience.
Delightful early evening dinner. The calamari was outstanding. No problems at all. Will be back.
Amazing River side views. A must see sunset. Good vatiety of pizza selections. Perfect crust! The Utica greens are some of the best we've had. Sr ond time there in two weeks. Definitely will be added to our list of favorites.
The food was good. The waiter was terrible. He never mentioned the specials, he didn’t offer fresh ground pepper on our salad, he forgot to bring the bread until I asked for it. He brought one of our desserts and forget the other. It was a very disappointing dining experience thanks to the waiter. He couldn’t even split the check equally for 2 couples. Obviously, better staff training is needed. This is a beautiful location, now it is time to get the staff on board and make this restaurant a great place to dine in Clayton.
Please offer a kids menu. Server was friendly, but could have worked with us to get more simpler options (i.e. plain burger or simple french toast) during Sunday brunch for the kids.
Thank you so much for the advice. We will have a full kids menu starting October 1st!!
We were seated on time and our service was excellent. The food was delicious!
We went for dinner and loved it so much we returned the next day for brunch! Food drinks, and service excellent ! Would recomend to everyone!
Best chicken wings, Top shelf Margarita is amazing! Pizza never fails, great atmosphere and staff is always friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much! Next time try the home made Pasta!!
Great food! We had the garlic parm wings! Delicious! Friendly staff! Beautiful ambiance.
Excellent food for the price and the river view is perfect!
What a treat to have a restaurant of this quality in our area. This was our second time dining at Diprinzios and both experiences were terrific. This time we tried the pizza...hands down the best in the area. The salads were great, the meatballs divine, my husbands campanelle was fabulous. And, although we did not try it, the bowls of fettuccine Alfredo that went by almost made us mug the waitress to get at them! Ahhh, next time!
Good atmosphere and bustling. Service was adequate given the holiday weekend we were seated right away and drink order taken. The sequence for our food order was a bit off and my steak was under cooked for my asking. Reduction was a bit too sweet and would have been better in the side or in less quantity. I will know for next time. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the food was good.
Our go to place in Clayton. Love the access via the town dock. Food is delicious and the outside patio is delightful. We ate here three times this Labor Day week. Even a to go order for a boat picnic!
menu is excellent. ordered the medium-heat wings and the deli pepperoni pizza. wings were pretty mild for being medium. definitely will go extra hot next time. had to sit inside. turns out people sitting on the patio wouldn't leave. hostess said one table had been there for nearly 3 hours. not the restaurant's fault by any means.
Lovely setting and views. Food good and service excellent.
The main area is very noisy and tables of large parties too close together. Food was ok ...pizza toppings a bit skimpy and shrimp scampi didn’t have much shrimp in it or something we would order again.
Location is great. Ambient noise was quite a bit to tolerate. No wifi or cell service to check into Customs
The service needs to step it up. We still had food on our plates and they brought us the check and said our waiter had to help a bigger party. Then when we paid, they charge our card twice. It was very rude to not be asked if we wanted anything else - we were ready to have dessert and more wine.
We’ll probably give it another chance before we recommend it to others. The service and ambiance were great but the food was pretty awful. The eggplant parm was burnt and the pizza special was only average.
Had lunch there previously and enjoyed the food. Nice place to eat on the river but wouldn't recommend it for dinner. Our waitress gave good service to start but was inattentive throughout the balance of the evening. Our four dinners took around 45 minutes to be served after ordering. Two meals were served lukewarm and all four meals were served at three different time intervals. The management did attempt to make up the for the inconvenience by removing two meals from our bill.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are working from a very small kitchen and we are planning an expansion in the fall. Our food is home made and takes a little longer to prepare. I am so sorry for your wait time but we hope you will give us another chance! Shawn DiPrinzio
A bit a mix up with our res and seating but we were committed to sitting along the water. Well worth the wait as usual. The food and service never disappoint.
A little slow getting our meal
I have recommended your restaurant several times to friends.
Impressive space, imaginative menu, well trained service staff— overall a great addition to the River restaurant scene
Great place, you need a reservation and it is best to book on open table. I booked one over the phone and they lost it and unfortunately was not able to dine that particular time.
It was Very nice. Good atmosphere and view.
Very nice spot on the water for upscale dinner and drinks!
