Drew's on Halsted
Loved it! More calamari and it was awesome as usual and the tenderloin tips are very tasty. The ahi tuna app was good as well, especially at happy hour prices!
We didn’t know there would be live music. This was unfortunate for us, but I’m sure many other people went for the entertainment and enjoyed it.
Great choice for pre-show dining for the Briar Theater which only a half block away.
The food was amazing! I have been here a few times before but this time it was extraordinary! The calamari was so tasty I finished most of it myself! The sauce had the perfect amount of spicy flavor! My daughter’s filet was large and the sauce amazing! The creme brûlée was as good as I’ve ever tasted! Service was impeccable! Everything about the meal was perfect! I loved that they served real butter with the bread without even being asked! (So many places won’t give you real butter these days!) Perfect dinner and reasonably priced!!! Can’t wait to go back!
We’re from out of town so we had no idea where to go. We were pleasantly surprised for what we thought would just be a neighborhood spot. The food was very and the service was great. If in Chicago in that area I would definitely recommend it.
!! AMAZING !! on all levels. Spectacular food!! A feast for the senses. Ambiance: 10! Service: 10! A must go to!
Everything was delicious and well prepared. The service was very friendly and it has the good feeling of a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
First time at Drew’s. Definitely going to return. Good food good service and good atmosphere!!
Monday nights 15% food cost discount for neighbors!! Excellent food and service as always.... excellent appetizers include baby back ribs, shrimp cocktail and duck confit risotto are ample with a salad for dinner. Staff always excellent.
It was truly ridiculous to have the entire staff hanging out by the bar, with not one monitoring the dining room for customer needs, and even ignoring our glances. Finally, we brought our empty coffee cups to clutch of staff gigglers, to tell them what we wanted. Someone else had to do the same thing to ask for their check.
Mark Farris cabaret fabulous full of song and laughs. Food good, service excellent.
Especially since the live Cabaret began.
Well worth the walk or drive.
Complimentary parking available.
We love the veggie burgers and more.
Friendly, attentive staff.
We look forward to our next visit.
Open mic evenings are always entertaining!
David & Johnny
Food was mediocre and service was slow.
Drew's is becoming on of our go-to reliably, consistently good places when we're in Chicago. Food is great, location is central, vibe always fun. Great jazz trio on a recent Friday night.
Enjoyed our meal. Drinks were great. We will return.
Delicious Mediterranean roasted salmon, Impossible burger, and mango martini!
Was there for brunch on 9/15/19. Cocktails were good. I had the crab cakes bendict. Kinda skimpy on the potatoes and fruit. The eggs were a bit overdone. The server could have been more attentive. But it wasn’t a horrible experience. I will give them another try.
Great food and amazing staff. Always have a great time at Drew’s on Halsted.
Great place to celebrate Happy Hour. Good menu and good food.
Great place to Eat and people watch. The crowd was good our waiter was wonderful and the food thank goodness was delicious. We were there to see a play across the street
Food, service and decor were all great! A/C a little aggressive.
I have been a Drew's fan for many years and always celebrate my birthday and Thanksgiving there...my birthday was Aug 31 and was extraordinary!' My Server was Arc and I adore him...I will be back in October to see Mark Farris perform...I was also a Gentry fan...Thank you Drew and James and your magnificent staff...love, Judy
Dinner at Drew’s is amazing food and cocktails. The brunch menu - omelet and salmon BLT very ordinary- wouldn’t eat that again.
Our servers were fantastic
The food was good, the G & T I ordered was twice the price of what I got later in the evening at Sidetrack. Next time I will skip the cocktail, but I will definitely go back! :)
Ark is an excellent server, very efficient and pleasant
We were in Chicago for the week. We had to visit Boystown. The restaurant staff were great and so was dining outside. Unfortunately our meals weren’t 4 stars.
So fun! Tried a new cocktail from the barge dart which was great!
This place is the bomb. If you’re not ordering the Duck you’re doing yourself a disservice.
Entertained friends in from Toronto for Market Days and you guys didn't disappoint! Delicious! Thank you!
Wonderful time as usual but they raised the prices for Market Days and that’s not cool.
Beautiful linens, window seating, attentive service! Had salmon with a watermelon salsa done perfectly. Full bar and great dessert.
The brunch food was good, as was the burger. Wish the waitress was more knowledgeable about their own food products. $3 mimosas and bellinis are a great deal, especially for groups. Great location and good value.
The food and cocktails surpassed my expectations!
Entertainment was great. Service was a bit slow with no follow up after entrees were served for ordering more drinks, dessert, coffee, etc.
Drew’s as a great open mic night with excellent singers. It makes for a fun, relaxing Tuesday.
My friend and I both had the cheeseburger. It was so good. Perfectly cooked and on a very fresh bun. I had the goat cheese appetizer and it was delicious. Their was wonderful entertainment that evening. Judy and Bernie sang some great Broadway tunes. This was my first time at Drews and I can't wait to go back.
Always enjoy the live music and is the reason we're there.
We travel from 3100 south...and not on north side that often...but want to support the community and our friends & fellow performers.
Upon arrival, no one greeted us. They were preppy for a party. When greeted, it was burdensome to be seated. The server was unfriendly. The host, piano player and singer spent time dramatizing the upcoming party. There was no effort to respect the diners not attending the event. Food was served quickly and was tasty. There were no condiments on the table. The distraction from the loud voices, moving tables made the experience a once and done. Had we known the focus was on a party, the restaurant would not have been chosen. There was no acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Out in 45 minutes.
We decided to go to brunch last minute so not a lot of options. Drew's was well reviewed on Open Table but we found it very meh. Nothing terrible-- but food was not great and service was strange. I would not go back and would not recommend to anyone. Dinner could be different.
David was our server and was excellent and attentive. Drew’s is a great place and all the staff are great and make you feel welcome.
