Duck Duck Goat
Always so good!
The atmosphere and service were good. I was expecting more from the menue. The first dishes were just okay and the last was so salty it was inedible. Didn't live up to the Girl and the Goat.
Good food. Fun atmosphere.
Food is incredible. Our server made me and our table beyond uncomfortable with her attitude. It was most of our first times there and she seemed beyond annoyed when we were trying to figure out how much food to order. She practically forced us to order 4 more dishes than we originally wanted and it ended up being way too much food for us. Even after taking her forcefulness of ordering more food she was super rude about it still acting like we didn’t order enough food and told us to let her know sooner than later when we wanted more food as if it clearly wouldn’t be enough for us. Once it was dessert time she had an attitude when we asked for a recommendation. Then when we wanted our check they were clearly getting ready to close she was nowhere to be seen. We spent $300 here you’d think the servers would be a bit kinder? Anyways food was incredible every single dish was fantastic! And the interior is beautiful :)
Really enjoyed the food. I highly recommend the beef slap noodles, pork fried rice, and soup dumplings. The flavors are ridiculously yummy.
A great experience, as this restaurant from start to finish never disappoints!
The restaurant requested special occasions/dietary restrictions on multiple occasions before the reservation, through multiple channels. However, the restaurant clearly did not refer to any of these notes before we arrived because our special occasion was ignored and our dietary restrictions had to be recommunicated.
Duck Duck Goat is GREAT. Food is great, drinks are great, server was great.
Went for brunch at 2 pm having heard the restaurant gets very loud when busy which is most of the time. Delicious food and very knowledgeable waiter. Definitely recommend.
Always enjoy eating at this and all of Stephanie Izard’s restaurants. You can tell that a lot of attention is being paid to every detail, from the food to the service and the ambiance.
The staff if always very attentive and helpful
Nice place but a bit loud. Most of the dishes were very good. Spring rolls and green beans are definitely recommended. Skip the shrimp toast.
Great meal as always.
Great place for Chinese food with interesting, unique flavors!
Our Duck fried rice was the favorite! Service was prompt and helpful. I made reservations to return while we were sitting there! Great value as plates are shared. Fun spot!
The best dumpling and noodle dish!
We were seated at the strangest tiny corner table facing a group 1 foot in front of us. Had to uncomfortably turn my neck to talk to the person next to me the whole time. Our legs kept hitting one another because the table was so tiny. Awful experience!
This was truly the best Chinese I have ever had! The soup wontons were like heaven and the wonton soup was incredible! Our service was impeccable and the drinks were outstanding! I can't say enough good things about our first experience there! We'll be back if we can get in!
Great experience! Loved the food and the service.
First time at Duck Duck Goat. Everything er tried was excellent. Service was very good as well. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was a nice touch that they provided a complementary glass of champagne.
Basically, I LOVED the food.
Our waiter was slow. I had to go to the bar for my beer (we hadn't seen him for 20 minutes).
Lastly, they cramp you up (it's really tight in there). They should eliminate a few seats so I'm not bumping into the waiter when they come by to the next table.
Duck Duck Goat is delicious. The staff was very nice. Lots of great energy and conversations all around.
My partner and I both agreed we will be back.
We loved the whole concept and special spin on authentic Chinese food (think iron chef meets “big trouble in Little China”). The music and ambiance of the space and the staff was definitely on point.
We would love to experience this place later at night with locals vs the brunch crowd.
We went for Dim Sum and loved everything we tried.
Really good and original Chinese food in cosy but energic place! friendly service! Only disadvantage was the noice! Difficult to have a normal conversation!
Had a really great experience at Duck Duck Goat! Beau, our server, was awesome with recommendations on both drink and food. The decor is perfection—everything from the custom plates, chopstick wrappers to the indoor awnings are perfection. Really enjoyed thoughtful detail.
Duck Duck Goat has unique dishes with rarely tried flavors. Our server Nicole was extremely knowledgeable as well as helpful with ordering dishes. A great place to try something new.
Great food - each dish is unique in flavor and boldness.
Love the family style so you can really sample a number of dishes.
The ambiance is beautiful with a variety of rooms with unique decor.
A “must go to” when I’m in Chicago!
This is by far the best Chinese/Asian cuisine restaurant I've been to. Everything on the menu is delicious. You can't go wrong anything!
We had previously been to The Girl and the Goat and loved it. Made a spur of the moment decision on a Saturday morning to try Duck Duck Goat for a late lunch that same day and a reservation was available. We did the five course tasting menu. The food was fantastic and the service was prompt and attentive from beginning to end. The price was also very reasonable for a multi-course tasting menu. Overall, a great experience and we will be back.
Such a fun, family style meal. Great service and food!
Always delicious and welcoming - one of our favorite restaurants. This time we brought our 2 yr old and she was well taken care of and loved the food! We had the brunch prix fixe and every dish was great- good value for <$30. We were especially impressed by the dessert- blueberry sorbet with frozen blueberries and shave ice.
The ambiance is great too- had great music playing loud enough to encourage conversation without drowning it out. Decor is amazing as well. Do not miss!
We opted to skip our reservation inside and sit outside. The Fulton market is vibrant and perfect. The server shared some excellent recommendations and nothing disappointed. We shared some incredible potstickers that he said were the most popular. Also ordered the soup dumplings that were good but not world changing. The pork belly and green bean dish were delicious and it was plenty of food for two moderate eaters.
Our favorite meal of our 2 day trip in Chicago!
Food was amazing, service was spectacular! No complaints!
Beautifully cooked food and very friendly service. A+, definitely will recommend.
Love that they have a dedicated Gliten Free and vegetarian menu.
Delicious food, dim sum was excellent. Decor is whimsical. A little loud, but definitely going back for more!
The glutinous rice balls with goat was great. The wonton soap was delicious. Very flavorful. I could have used a few more wonton in there. Great ambience and fits well in the burgeoning West Loop dining scene.
Food was so good! I was visiting Chicago from Houston for the weekend and got a couple recommendations about this place from a few friends.
Would definitely come back!
Delicious! This was our last one to try of the goat trilogy, and it did not disappoint. My husband and I ordered a total of 5 dishes (probably could have done with 3, but the leftovers were delicious so no regrets) and everything was perfect! So many rich flavors, all somehow complimenting each other. We will absolutely be back and I cannot wait to try more off this menu.
