The chicken shawarma tagine is fantastic, but make sure you finish with the mango kunafa- true Egyptian tastes, but with a contemporary twist (e.g.. quinoa in the tabbouleh).
Perfect presentation and sensational taste.
Staff really friendly with good quality service and quick too.
My husband and I went with our five month old baby and the staff were really accommodating. There is plenty of room between tables which I like. I hate places where it's so tight to move around and you can hear everyone's conversations. Food was really good. Had the dips and cheese cigars for entree and sharwama and mixed grill for mains. Everything was so fresh and full of flavour. Would highly recommend!
Good place. Good food with friendly staffs. Great ambience. Will get back for sure.
Perfect ambience for my night
Food was amazing. Koftas and beet labneh were my favourites as they were cooked to perfection with great flavour.
Customer service was very friendly and made me and my date feel at home.
Really delicious food, we ordered the share plater for 2 with Mashi and cheese cigars sides. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, definitely will be coming back :)
This is one of the best restaurants in the west. Amazing food, cosy ambiance and lovely knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.
The most disappointing part of the meal was that the food was that some of the food was quite bland. Disappointed that the vine leaves were straight out of a tin.
Additionally why was Spanish music plying in the background when it is supposed to be a middle eastern themed restaurant?
We enjoyed dinner at Dukkah very much. The food was great and the waitress did her best to accommodate our requests. The place was almost full so it got a bit noisy but this did not affect our dining experience at all. I will definitely return and will try to leave room for dessert!
The food and service was fantastic but the live music was loud and did make it difficult to hear each other talk. I would definitely ring to make sure there was no live music next time. The problem was only that we could not hear each other well. The acoustics in the room would need to be improved for customer comfort.
Good local restaurant and bar reasonably priced, the food was nice and beers on tap.
Sorry guys but service was so slow and dirty plates from entree were just left on the table while main was served we had to ask for the dirty plates to be removed
We enjoyed a pleasant evening at Dukkah. Food was authentic and service was great. Recommended.
We received great service. Has a good menu and very tasty food.
I enjoyed our visit. Affordable and tasty. Definitely book as it gets quite busy on the weekends.
We found Dukkah by chance on the internet as we live out of the area. It was such a hot night, but we did not need worry, the place was cool, and had a lovely ambiance. We had booked via the internet, but they had already had the table set and knew who we were withoiut having to check bookings, making you feel very welcome. The service was great, and the waitress did not have that fake smile, she was genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed the meal, her boss should of been more than happy asshe tried to upsell further courses without being a pain.
The food was as it should of been the hero of the night but you seldom get a resturant where the night ticks all the boxes.
For people that live in the area, or even a small drive, you would be silly not to try Dukkah.
Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive to needs. One tiny negative, this is the second time I have been, the restaurant is cold and drafts, so you need to rug up with a few layers.
Awesome food, a great fusion of Egyptian and Australian cuisine.
Great food. Very reasonably priced and excellent service.
We love the food here. Even the take-away is exceptionally good; but the sit-down experience is very much worth it (not least because you can't get dessert take-away!)
Try the everything really, but first time around definitely do the dips, the calamari, the chicken shawarma and the mixed grill. And both desserts. Our kids love the chicken nuggets, and we order them a scoop of ice cream for after, which keeps them happy.
Beers on tap are a good spread--pretty much something for everyone. The rest of the drinks list is good, too.
It's a nice, cosy room for dinner, with lights down. The first thing I always notice when I walk in is the delicious smell that comes out of the kitchen. Noise is usually comfortable without being too quiet. Tables aren't too packed in. I'd book ahead for Friday or Saturday nights.
Bathrooms are easily-accessible but also right down the back, down a short hall, past the kitchen. This is nice, because the largest table is at the back and it's never great when you feel like the bathrooms are right at your elbow.
I went to dukkah last week and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend the dips, cheese cigars and lamb tagine. The lamb was so soft and the sauce had so much flavour in it. Staff were friendly and attentive.
What a great find in a tiny shopping centre. The food was exceptional. Only slight issue was that early in the night it was bit cold, but it did warm up as the night went on. Recommend this little hidden gem.
Food and service was brilliant. Will definitely be back.
Fabulous food and wonderful service provided by the very attentive and caring girls at Dukkah. Lamb Tagine was delicious and the Kunafa was amazing.
Good food with great ambience. Will be back again.
Great food great service
Just need a bit more heating otherwise great
Highly recommend trying this restaurant. Amazing food, everything was fresh and staff are warm friendly and welcoming.
Went with my partner to this restaurant. It had great atmosphere and really good wine selection. The staff were friendly and helped us picked our options of dips, cheese cigars, chicken sharwama and lamb tagine. All the dishes were really tasty and its hard to pick a favourite. We really enjoyed our experience and highly recommend.
Great food, fresh and tasty. Nice wine list and fantastic service.
