East Side Mario's - Halifax - Downtown
Service was poor despite being relatively empty in the restaurant, not greeted upon entering, then once seated and put in our order, multiple items not brought to table, no condiments for fries and sandwich, couldn’t track anyone down to ask by the time he came back, food was mostly gone. Some meals not warm. Very disappointing
I am sad to say I would not recommend. I have been here before and had a great experience. On this occasion it was a low rated experience. First, I understand it was parade night and that means its a crazy and busy night. If that was the only problem I would not have a complaint - this I understand.
My party (4 adults and 3 kids) were seated along the back wall. We were there for 5 mins and noticed a mouse running all over the floor, window sill and along some of the tables against the windows. Now yes this is an older building in downtown Halifax and I am sure there are many mice, however, I do not wish to see them when I am about to sit down and eat. We mentioned this to our server who proceed to stare at us like a deer in headlights and made ZERO comment on the mouse and when we were finished she proceed to ask us what we wanted to eat. No comment on the mouse and no action was even take to CLEAN to areas and table where the mouse was prior to sitting customers. So a big fail on that servers part. Our orders were wrong and had to be redone and therefore we all did not get the opportunity to share our meal at the same time. Then to get our bill was another nightmare and our server was more preoccupied with chatting with co workers then getting us our bills. Very disappointed as previously we had really enjoyed coming to this location. Again, not upset with our busy it was, understand it was the parade, but the fact that our server did nothing about the mouse and her lack of general service really put a sour note to the start of our evening.
