The service was great. Food was good but not great. Sides were pricey, small and mediocre not as good as other places. We had mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, spinach and Mac and cheese. We had a 32 oz tomahawk ribeye it’s was cooked well and tasty. Not great but good. The fillet was flavorful and tender. Whiskey selection was limited. Drinks also pricey and small, the old fashion was tiny - like it was 1oz of bourbon only. All things considered, it was nice but not exceptional.
The waygu steak was cold and had a lot of fat. It wasn’t what I expected.

Absolutely delicious and excellent service
We made a reservation for 8:30. I confirmed it online several times when receiving email requests for confirmation. A few minutes before our reservation I received a phone call to confirm we were coming. Since I had to stop to call them back, we arrived at the door at 8:31 (I verbally confirmed we were coming at 8:29 and were parking).
On the phone the manager explained they were closed. He called because he was confirming we were still coming so he could unlock the door for us.
When I entered, I asked why they would close when they had reservations for that time period, he said it was fine, we would still be served.
I completely understand that they may have a last seating at time X, but the manager was completely off-putting in his attempt to explain that although they had seatings for that time, somehow they were technically closed?? As we came in with our guest from out of town, it felt as though we were "sliding in" at the last moment and were being chastised, as opposed to a previously schedule reservation for a time slot they made available on their website! It was completely embarrassing.
Then, we get to the table, passing staff who looked annoyed to have more guests there (no smiles, no hellos, just frowns and avoidance).
The one bright spot: Our server was phenomenal. Truly exceptional. I can't praise her enough. She was knowledgable, personable, and had great recommendations and insights into the menu and the wine list.
But the kitchen was not offering bread service because "they were closed."
And some of the items (such as the sides we ordered) were sent out reheated and cold. Plates were hot, food was not.
For a meal with a reservation at a normal time (meaning we didn't beg to come in after their last seating), and paying several hundred dollars for just three people, the attitude of the manager, and the inability to even have a bread service was unacceptable. I don't intend to return.
Good food but insanely expensive
Disappointed overpriced small portions items not on menu a person with a dog that was clearly not a service dog and crying babies . . . I asked for a nice table and they stuck us by their bar and lounge clearly not focused on service.

What a fabulous anniversary celebration! Featuring steaks from around the world, we chose French and it was mind-blowing delicious!! Oysters Rockefeller to start -- again FABULOUS! Our waitress felt like family, so cute about our anniversary. She gave us an anniversary card from Eddie's along with complimentary desserts! Did I mention the paired wine? Perfect.
Initially seated us in a small 2 person table which felt cramped and tight, requested to be moved. Appetizer was bland and poor quality for this level of restaurant.

Eddie Mrelot's has become my "go to" resturant for business and social occassions. I can't say enough positive things about the entire staff and the food always makes you want to come back again!

The salmon was great, the steak was great, the food was just great. and the service top notch!

I enjoyed the most tender filet mignon that I have had in Northern Virginia at any time in the last 15 years. The side dishes were also good. The service was exceptional, with a server that was friendly, knowledgeable and knew what she was doing. She checked with us several times and made sure that we were ok and then went about her business.
We were very pleased on this visit. Thank you for the Veterans Day discount. This restaurant is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We joined friends for dinner in honor of Veteran’s Day. Laurie was excellent and made our dinner memorable. Her service is top notch. We enjoyed good wines and her knowledge of the wine menu was impressive. Her presentation of the desserts made them even more delicious.
We want to also complement the chef for the excellent dishes that were perfectly prepared.
We are all definitely fans.

Everything was superb except the desserts. Both chocolate and carrot cakes were too BIG. I would have gladly had 1/5 of the slice and paid at half price and enjoyed the dessert.
Food was good but the oysters were so small... Typically when I pay half that much for oysters they are bigger and better. Spending close too 300+tip for a meal I would expect perfection.
Outstanding all around and the service from Scott was wonderful. We enjoyed the A5 and the filet, and the cocktails were also well prepared and delicious.

I find it hard to believe that I ordered a $60 piece of meat and had to saw thru it because their knives are terrible. My kitchen steak knives are 100% better than these. I went thru 4 knives then gave up.
We had a lovely time at Eddie Merlot's for our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff was very attentive and went over and above to make sure our experience was special.
Overpriced for what it is. Eddie V's and Randy's in Tysons corner beat this place hands down as upscale steakhouses go.
