Excellent service, food was great ... very, very nice!
We had a lovely dinner! We sat in the bar - we just like the vibe better. Turns out we were there on Thursday night and there was a bar special that night - a few dollars off the the bar menu. We all had Prime Burgers and they were delicious, but the highlight of the meal was our server Brian. He's the best. We'll be back.
Our meal was wonderful and the service by Sue was great. Love this place.
One of the best dinner experiences I have had in decades. The service fantastic, the food even better.
High end steak house prices at lesser quality and service. Unlike the high end steak houses, it has a broad menu that seems to hinder it from being excellent at any one thing.
We made a last minute 7:30 reservation and were seated on time at a great table. Our server, Brooke was great all night. The food was outstanding... The first rib eye was replaced with another that was terrific. We will absolutely go back soon.
The steak is wonderful. The bread is delicious and had delicious lobster bisque but both the shrimp and sausage I had were just ok. Definitely only choose the steak next time.
Overpriced for no reason. I ordered the bourbon sirloin and was extremely fat. It was supposed to be prime!
Food always taste better when the service is great. This restaurant had both. Highly recommend it.
Excellent venue and will frequent again when the opportunity arises.
We celebrated my parents 70th birthday at Eddie Merlot’s and we had a truly wonderful, memorable evening. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the table was perfect for our party of six. Eddie Merlot’s is our favorite restaurant and it’s out family’s first choice to celebrate special occasions.
We want to extend a special thank you to Alana Cooper who made sure that we had a fantastic time! Thank you, Alana for you help with making my parents’ big day so special!
Michael, our waiter made my birthday dinner fabulous. He was attentive, thoughtful and very accommodating. It made our dinner experience absolutely fantastic. Thank you Michael!!
We celebrated a birthday and from the moment we arrived until we left, we felt special. The service was wonderful and the food terrific. The place was jumping, and it was a delightful atmosphere.
Had a great experience this time. Overall everything was terrific. Especially loved the sweet and spicy shrimp appetizer and our steaks were heavenly. Thanks for the great service and experience. We will be back!!!
Serve was a bit rude. I believe his name was Steve. Must have assumed we weren’t good tippers since we are 21 year olds. Never got bread to the table and told there was no more calamari when other servers were offering it to nearby tables. Other than that my first experience was pleasant.
We’ve been there several times and everything is always amazing...my favorite restaurant !
Why can you say about Eddie’s. Their steaks are tremendous. There is a robust wine list. The appetizers are all excellent and don’t miss the Ahi Tuna poke appetizer (although the Wontons in Illinois were a bit crisper than the knew we have had at other restaurants). Do yourself a favor a try a steak at Eddie Merlot’s.
First time at Eddie Merlots for dinner. Great food, service was spectacular.
We had a wonderful time and the food was amazing!
We were there once before for Mother’s Day Brunch, which was amazing, so we definitely wanted to try dinner. Everything was perfect! I have never had a more perfectly cooked steak. Definitely will be back!
Unfortunately everything about our dinner was average, from the service to the food.
Food was great, the decor is elegant yet casual friendly. The service was hit and miss, moments of very good and lag times where we felt unattended to.
Valentines date with my wife, and the restaurant didn’t come close to earning the very high prices they charge. Let me count the ways! Table was wobbly, staff couldn’t really fix it well, they were clearly short staffed, our waitress smirked at a few questions my wife had (I.e. “that’s a dumb question”), when our meals finally arrived they were warm at best, when we told them they barely had time to listen to us, when the manager came to courtesy check he basically interrupted me and shut down my comments, the tables were so close together I basically listened to the strange dude next to me brag the whole meal, ahhh! This is what happens when a restaurant is poorly operated by a corporation. With that said, the quality of the ingredients of the meals were pretty good. My wife’s meal was sub- par, but mine was good except for the fact that it clearly sat for some time before being served. I don’t blame the waitstaff, they are clearly overworked and understaffed.
Fantastic ambiance from the gorgeous lounge to the beautiful dining room. We really enjoyed the evening, celebrating our anniversary. The delicious appetizer sweet and spicy shrimp was terrific. My husband loved his Wagyu ribeye and I loved the New Orleans style mixed grill. We loved the service and the food. Fantastic evening! We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends!
My date and I loved our Valentine's Day experience at Eddie Merlot's and will definitely be back soon! Our server, Pablo, made us feel right at home. The value for our food and service was above par!!!
Our Valentines Day dinner was a disaster. After being seated fairly promptly, on a busy night, we ordered drinks and an appetizer. The wine came promptly but then we waited almost half an hour for any bread or food. A hostess brought our delicious shrimp toast with salmon appetizer, we ordered salad and entrees, then it was more than another hour before the entrees arrived. Our filets were well prepared and tasty, but mine was only warm, not hot. Mashed potatoes were good, but spinach was too salty to eat. After another 40 minutes, we were asked if we wanted dessert but never received a menu to choose from. After complaining to a manager, he brought dessert menus and our dessert order. We spent 3 hours at the restaurant for a mediocre meal and poor service.
Giving them some benefit of the doubt that they just weren’t ready for a Valentine’s Day crowd, but the wait and service was horrendous. We waited nearly 90 minutes for our entree after 20 minutes waiting to order. It looked like they crammed an extra six to eight tables in to accommodate the crowded evening, but they weren’t staffed for the extra tables. It also made it very tight and crowded and had to have added to the service troubles.
However the food, when it arrived was hit and delicious. The filet was done perfectly and was tender; the salmon was large and flaky, and the creamed spinach with bacon was decadently creamy and superb.
I will give them another try, but not on a universal date night like Valentine’s Day.
We went to celebrate Valentine day but were extremely disappointed. They overbooked the place. Took forever to order anything. We had appetizers and skipped to desert due to long wait. Expected much better service for the prices they charge.
Very slow service, nobody came to the table for at least 20 minutes after we were seated. I had to ask 3 different people to get our server. It took very long to get drinks and even longer to get food. They tried three different times to serve us somebody else’s food. Unbelievable! Tiny portions for the price... We will not be back.
We’ve dined there many times and I’ve had several showers there. All were great! We went for Valentines dinner and we were very disappointed. We had a 7:15 reservation and were not seated for 15 minutes. Not a big deal. However we were not acknowledged for another 20 once we sat down. It took about 30 minutes to get bread and drinks. Then we waited and waited for our food to come. I caught the eye of a manager and she went and checked on it and eventually about an hour after sitting down we got it.My dinner was lukewarm by the time I got it. We were very disappointed in the service.
The valet was courteous, pleasant and quick on an awfully cold night. Suzanne is an outstanding bartender. The reservation on Valentine’s Day was on time, with a big crowd waiting. Kudos to the chef for a delicious entree,
New Orleans mixed grill.
We went on Valentines Day and were very disappointed with what we found at the restaurant. They had set up so many tables for two on top of one another and so close people had to turn sideways to get through, which resulted in people constantly be bumped by others trying to get to their tables or servers trying to get food to people. The service was slow with mistakes being made on which tables were getting what food. The whole experience was very disappointing given the cost. We have been there many times on other nights and were very happy with the experience. My advice is to avoid Valentines Day. The food however was very good as usual in spite of the poor experience.
We love Eddie Merlot’s. It is consistently good. It was Valentines Day night so understandably it was crowded and the restaurant was very busy. It was a cold night too and our table was next to a drafty window. Thus it was drafty and cold. I would have asked to be moved but it was crowded and busy so we got thru it. I made the reservations 3 weeks in advance and was expecting to be in the main dining room. We were on time and had to wait 10-15 minutes for our table. Food was good. Waiters did their best being a busy night.
Gave my wife a new diamond ring
Outstanding food!! One of our favorite dinning places.
We had a horrible experience we had a busboy for a waiter they clamped us in there we had one of the first reservations and then they said the route the route 60 people ahead of us it took one hour for a restaurant to come in and they got our drinks McStop the manager did give us her card and paid for our drinks and shrimp but we laughed very disappointed in you guys were recommended by my boss she does a lot of business with you guys. Also I was surprise the manager didn’t give us a free dinner for next time or at least a gift certificate to try you guys again you guys definitely were not prepared for Valentine’s Day
Had reservations and got seated right away, however it took 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order. Steak was over cooked and waiter was nowhere to be found most the night. Disappointing to go out for a nice dinner with my wife and have zero service and an average steak, for a premium price.
Be mine valentine
We had a lovely evening sitting aside at a high top table meant for us.
They’re always accommodating to adjust to people’s’ wishes.
Our meal was just right and good recommendation on the wine pairing.
The martini’s were terrible! We ordered a 3 different kinds and all tasted like cough syrup! The dining room was like a cafeteria with tableS about 1 foot apart! Awful! We will never go back.
Poor service. Had to flag down the hostess to find our waitress after sitting waiting for her for quite some time after we were down eating. And that wasn't the first time the server went AWOL. Food was okay but very expensive. Not a good value. Our first time at Eddie Merlot's and we won't be going back.
