   The open table app does not account for thee daylight savings time difference in Germany. We mad a reservation for Friday at 6:00pm, and went down to the restaurant at 5:45pm. I received a message at 5:45 saying thank you for dining with us, let us know how your meal was.? The hostess. Confirmed our reservation had passed, despite us actually arriving approx 15 min early. Luckily Germany springs forward early this Sunday morning so hopefully the reservation system will be accurate again after Sunday.

   The Zugge restaurant is not a clean and safe place to eat. Staff was handling money and food without putting on gloves. Very very disturbing!

   Sadly this is the only restaurant that is open regularly for dinner at edelweiss lodge and resort. The hotel should do better. It was be wonderful to have a nice dinner option to dine at while staying at the hotel. Most everything is premade/frozen/microwaved. The pizza, the chicken nuggets etc. when asked about a burger, the server just said “we don’t have ‘that capability’ here. How can a restaurant not have a grill. We love edelweiss so much it is such a shame that they serve food like this. You could be so much busier if you invested in a nicer restaurant. While the Pullman cafe is a great, convenient ‘quick food’ option for lunch it doesn’t Serve dinner. Please edelweiss create a new ‘fresh’ and homemade dinner restaurant that’s open 7 days a week that’s not a buffet.

   We would not recommend the Christmas dinner experience. Overpriced for small portions that were also severely over cooked. If we could’ve walked out without being charged we would have unfortunately.

    Christmas Dinner. Wonderful staff and great setting. Salad bar was good. Vegetarian choice was way too much food and okay. Dessert was lacking. Staff were attentive and the experience was great.

    Build your own pizza was great, Caesar salad huge, and friendly helpful service. Big screens to keep track of soccer game. Good choice

    The chef salad was good & would eat again. The 1 lb chicken wings were not done well enough, texture was like lightly boiled. Buffalo sauce was not very spicy, like watered down. The lemonade was more like lemon water, not very flavorful. We’ve been there before & complained about the very same things. Nothing has improved. So 1 Chefs salad, 1 order of chicken wings & 2 watered down lemonade was $27! Not great…

    Zuggys is great. The food is typical bar food. The workers are awesome and work really hard. They deserve to be treated better. Obviously when there is a big game one, like the World Cup, there is going to be a wait… don’t get mad at the host... Just make a reservation and skip the line. Don’t get mad if service is slow, they’re obviously understaffed. They are doing the best they can. Thank you Zuggys! Oh and the margs on the rocks are great… pretty strong.

    Market Station had a very goi menu, especially the breakfast. However, Zugy's was incredibly disappointing. The chicken wings that my wife and I were horrible, actually undercooked and had a sour taste. The queso did had a taste of flour. Don't how young mess up cheese.

    The Thanksgiving Dinner was absolutely awful. Everything was cold, the food looked very unappetizing. We were really disappointed as we expected a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. After all, it is a special holiday that people look forward to spending with friends and family. The Edelweiss Resort should not ruin its reputation by going the cheap route. No I would not advise others to come neither for Thanksgiving nor Christmas

    From the begining till the end, BEST SERVICE. I missed a little music, and some decoration.I was in the small ballroom. (The General Patton Ballroom was very nicely decorated and had music.) But other than that. Delicious, very nice display, concerning the buffet and the arrangement on the plate, maybe a bit much.(A very generous helping). A perfect Thanksgiving evening. Thank you.     When advertised it did not state it was a prepared plate meal. Assumption was Thanksgiving dinner would be a buffet, where we would be able to select the food we would eat just like a real Thanksgiving. However the plates were prepared with barely anything we would eat. However the salad bar was great, but the setup of the salad bar was confusing and inefficient, causing great confusion and grumbling by all customers. The dessert bar was lacking traditional Thanksgiving desserts such as apple pie. Overall this was a non-traditional, over price dinner for what we got out of it. Live and learn I guess, but not doing this meal ever again.

    ELR used to have pretty good buffet during special events and holidays. Now, I wouldn’t send Russian POWs there to eat…would be a war crime. The 2022 Thanksgiving dinner served was overpriced and terrible. Turkey was over cooked and vegetables were undercooked. Eat off base, your taste buds and wallet will thank me.

    I didn’t like the drum stick or the white meat and I don’t eat ham on thanksgiving. I requested dark meat and was told that that’s what they had. If I would have known in advance I would’ve had dinner somewhere else. I had two small bites of the white meat just for a taste of thanksgiving.

    Quesadilla - add grilled peppers and onions, drop the black beans. The Margarita was excellent but $8 is a bit steep for the amount of Margarita that you receive. The menu is very limited. Consider adding something like fajitas & expanding the salad options.

    Our first night in Germany and at the Edelweiss. Our food at Zuggy’s was a salty mess. Service wasn’t much better. Didn’t get silverware. Would not return. Heard others complain also. Would try upstairs restaurant instead next time.

    A noticeable improvement over my last stay at Edelweiss. Still your basic bar fare, but portions are good sized & tasty. Service was great, esp if you’re arms are full with little ones. They could stand to turn down some of the background noise.

    My kids had to dine themselves (ages 12+) and were still treated very nicely with very good service. I was happy to hear they were treated well and kindly, despite being on their own for the evening. We gave them money for a tip. We gave them money for a good tip and a very good tip. They decided the service was worth the very good tip.

    We arrived.for our reservation. Restaurant was locked and dark. We sat and waited. Luckily someone passed by(employee of some Kind) and told us that it was closed and he heard due to low number in hotel. The restaurant would be closed ALL WEEK. I went and confirmed with front desk. I suggested they leave a notice on the doors of restaurant. I also suggested they at least place a notification on their website. Which 3 days later they still have not. We LOVE staying here. We stay for a week every year. We understand them trying to Save money but they should be open on their website about that. Maybe a small “we’re sorry biut…” And maybe put some microwaves in the rooms for family’s like us. So we can buy groceries and prepare food for our kids. Maybe a microwave in their “snack & ice rooms”. The only one they have is all the way next to the Pullman cafe. A ridiculously long way to walk for a cup of noodles. But again, we always enjoy our stay here. Employees are really helpful and the options at the lodge too is awesome

    Our server was very nice. But she would disappear for long periods. Later, she would reach across our table To take empty plates (we were eating with our 3 kids). She then came and asked if we wanted a to go box while my last child was still eating (she is special need)

    Considering there’s not on that menu, they simply could not compete the orders. Example: greek salad, no feta cheese (we were offered mozzarella), wings no blue cheese. Unacceptable.
