The new setting at the outdoor deck at the Lodge is very pleasant and peaceful... the service by the Edgars staff we know and love was terrific... happy to see them open for dinners again...
My 31st Anniversary. Excellent Service and the Food was Fantastic!
I suppose I should cut some slack, since they have just reopened. We ordered cocktails, and my Americano came as a large cup of coffee. I did ask the waiter if they knew what an Americaino is. (Cinzano, sweet vermouth and club soda). It was a very long wait, and then another wait. I had the panzella salad, which was described as rustic croutons, tomatoes, red onions, mozzarella and cucumbers . I added chicken. What came was baby spinach, no croutons, a handful of tomatoes, and tiny pieces of mozzarella. Small for a $24 salad. My husband had a burger, which was somewhat larger than a slider. Served with a tiny bowl of greens, no dressing. I asked the waiter if the salad was right? Shouldn’t there be croutons? He said he would check, but he never returned. Social distancing was good, following all the rules for outside dining, lovely spot, but disappointing.
Their last Saturday of the month dinners are always good, and the no corkage is great.
Food was excellent. Service was fantastic and the view on the deck was gorgeous. I would definitely come again. My friend and I had a lovely time. It was difficult to find the restaurant because there were no signs.
We went for afternoon tea, a special event held in October.

Sandwich fillings were outstanding.
Table setting was beautiful.
Service was prompt and friendly.
Champagne was an extra $12 per person for a split but it was cold and Moet Chandon, worth it.
View was wonderful, sat next to man made lake.
Could have been better:
No gluten free options. They were most accommodating and did make 4 quarters (one sandwich) for my friend.
No gluten free scones available. We would have liked a second sandwich per person as the scones were sweet so more savory would have been nice and my friend couldn't eat her scone.
Only one tea bag was offered, we could have used one more per person.
Just a mention:
20% tip was included in the bill. We happened to notice but it wasn't brought to our attention. I have been places where the server does mention that the gratuity was added, a nice courtesy.
For $28.00 per person:
One tea bag each (about 9 different teas to choose from)
1 sandwich cut in quarters each
1 scone each
1 cupcake, 1 mousse, 1 cookie each (all small bite size)
2 slices of chocolate cranberry poundcake each
Served with clotted cream, lemon curd, raspberry jam.
This was our 4th visit for the Waypoint last Saturday of the month meal series. 1st time in May was a 5, the best! 2nd time in June was a 2, the 3rd time in July was a 4 and the last time in August was a 3.
The food was inconsistent. Service is friendly but spotty. It is a good value we like the free corkage but would suggest the menu be made available a few days in advance to pair the wine wine our food.
On Saturday afternoon we made a reservation for 6 at 7:15 pm that night on OpenTable at Waypoint. When we arrived at 7:00 the restaurant wasn't even open and the bartender was rude to us when explaining we could not have a reservation because the restaurant is only open one Saturday a month or something like that. Not sure if it was OpenTable's mistake or the restaurant's, but the one person working there was totally unconcerned and unsympathetic. Didn't expect them to open the kitchen for us, just don't be rude.
Chef Brian Kearns does a fabulous job preparing delicious and beautifully served meals. The no corkage is a huge plus to keep the price reasonable.
We attended the Chef's dinner and the food was excellent. Appetizer choices were beet salad (my choice and excellent) and my hubby selected the lamb tartar, also excellent. The Artic Char main dish was prepared perfectly and we finished with the ice-cream sundae dessert. All in all, a great meal and no corkage fee made it a great value. The only recommendation would be to add at least one more staff member as we had to wait to water glasses to be refilled and our wine to be poured (but we poured it ourselves). We were a group of 8 and everyone said their meals were excellent.
The Waypoint Prix Fixe Meal was fabulous! We had 9 people and next time we are having 11 friends. They loved it, and we are spreading the word...come to Waypoint! Great view of the lake and fountain, friendly and efficient waiter, and delicious gourmet dining!

Excellent choice, very good food, reasonable price and nice atmosphere
Staff was friendly and very attentive; thoroughly enjoyed the scenic view offered sitting outside on the deck for breakfast. Wish we could have stayed a few more days soaking in the beautiful scenic views and ambiance of the overall resort.
We had a good Mother's Day breakfast celebration. The ambiance is very nice; service is good as well as the food. In my opinion it's a bit overprice but overall experience was very pleasant.
We will definitely be back. The portions were generous and the food delicious. Nice, peaceful setting and excellent breakfast!
