EDGE by Chef Dustin Allen
Food was fantastic. It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The decor and ambiance was rather cold and stark. The food was pricey although delicious. It is not
some place you'd visit weekly but for a special occasion was fitting. I was a little disappointed. When making the reservation I did write a note that it was a birthday but nothing was said or done about that.
The crab cakes were delicious, along with the stuffed salmon and ribeye! Friendly server too!
The food was really good! I had the roasted chicken and it was perfectly seasoned and so moist. The mushrooms really added to the dish too. Service was fast and the staff was friendly. Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends.
We received excellent service this evening. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. The food was excellent. The Spanish Shrimp appetizer is a must have. I had that the flank steak salad entree and it was excellent. Chef Dustin came out to greet us. We will definitely go back.
Food and service was outstanding - very creative combos of flavors, absolutely everything we had was delicious and well-presented! If any criticism it would be for the overly minimalist ambiance - a bit 'cold' but honestly some larger and warmer-toned local art would do the trick. Our server, Lindsey, was incredible, and so knowledgeable about the menu, the wines and the pairings with food.
Excellent! Food was delicious...service was superb. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Our only complaint was it was raining and they offered to hang up our umbrella, which was missing when we left. 😢
Hummus appetizer was really great. I like hummus but this was a whole new level NY Strip steak was excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I cut first few bites with a butter knife easily. It was cooked MW but retained perfect moisture- very nicely done!
Family weekend at Bradley
Great wine list. Delicious food. Love the apps. Will be back
Looks like they are just moving in .. the tomato goat cheese salad was so so, my steak was fatty and grissly and after ordering a glass of wine to go with my steak the steak came but I had to go track down a member of staff (they disappeared) and have them go fetch it
Not a lot of competition around but I will stick with thyme
Was worth a try though and not ultra expensive
Good taste but a little salty. If they have gluten free and casein free menu, more than welcome．
Dustin and his team provide a perfect environment for relaxing into a fantastic evening full of delicious menu choices and inviting atmosphere.
Great food & big city atmosphere. Will definitely go back
After waiting for over an hour past our reservation time, we asked how much longer it would be. The hostess ( who also was the waitress) said “just a few more minutes” so a hour and fifteen minutes after our reservation we were seated. Once food was served it was good but it was so slow that we were over it.
You shouldn’t accept reservations if you can’t honor them within a acceptable time. Wouldn’t go back
We had a lovely time. The food was delicious, and service was prompt. The restaurant was very cold, but this was my only complaint about the evening. Great place, highly recommended!
Simply put, simply said ... Great as always!
Service was not good. We waited for 20-30 min for waitress then waited for drinks. Never stayed to eat but heard it was good.
Food was delicious and beautifully presented
Great experience!! Heather was awesome. My mom and I had such a terrific time!! Definitely recommend.
superb food and service!
We always love dining at Edge! The staff is attentive and the food is always superb.
It was our anniversary dinner. There were things I loved and things I didn't care for. We had the burger and the fish. The fish was great but it was on a pile of dill yogurt sauce and it was just too much. The burger had no binding so it fell apart. The cheese was only partially melted and part cold. The bun was ice cold like it just came out of the fridge. Decent experience but I expected a bit more of a fine dining experience for close to $100.
Met the chef , awesome individual we had a great time
The plate presentation and flavors were excellent. Unfortunately my wife's steak was overdone. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal about the steak being off, however at $40 a steak should be cooked as the customer requests.
The food was great as was the service.
They brought out a surprise dessert for out sons’ birthday. He sad it was the best cake ever!
Excellent drinks and apps. Great place to go with friends
We were looking to try something new, and hadn't yet been to Edge. We really enjoyed our meal. We decided to just share a bunch of small plates, which were delicious. The Moroccan BBQ carrots were a big surprise - they were our favorite of the dishes we tried. Dessert was amazing - the Orange Fritter was excellent. We will definitely be going back there soon!
The food was very good. We ordered a charcuterie plate and all of the items in the appetizer were outstanding. Two of the people in our party ate the burger and said it was the best burger they’ve ever eaten before. I had a sirloin that had outstanding flavor. However, I ordered it rare and it was barely medium rare almost medium. The bread is very dense and had exceptional taste. My only real complaint about the restaurant, is that the wine seems to be a bit overpriced. Otherwise, a great experience!
We last visited Edge shortly after its opening in Peoria Heights: surprisingly disappointing in all respects. This experience was FAR superior - THERE IS excellent, imaginative dining available in the Peoria area!! The menu is broad in scope, ranging across combinations and ingredients not found elsewhere in town. Presentation supports the quality of the food. The ambiance is rather stark but generally well designed, though the entry bar area should be far more welcoming. How about some stools at the bar. Service was good but short on staff and refinement of staff training. Please keep working on this Chef Allen, we'll be back. Thanks for what you've accomplished to date.
The waitress should be better informed. I asked about the dishes and her comment was everything is good and couldn't talk about the dishes.
excellent food, well prepared, and attentive service
Six of us enjoyed dining for the first time here, and enjoyed the food, fresh, tasty and well presented. Ashley, our waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. This place is a gem.
It was a very cool place, not sure if the hostess was our waitress or not but she was great. Food was good but nothing special (I really wanted it to be!)
Food looked and tastes amazing! The atmosphere didnt match the food presentation..food was professional but atmosphere was more regular bar restraunt.. would definitely return! Drinks were amazing!
My wife and I have been meaning to try out Edge for a few weeks now. Having come from Brimfield, we will return. The food was delicious, my wife had a salmon that was very good considering we are in IL and used to the coast for seafood. My plate had a pork rib that was extremely tender and seasoned well. Presentation was very good and there was minimal wait for dinner to arrive. For an appetizer, we shared effectively fried Wisconsin cheese. The breading was seasoned very well and though it may sound strange to have "cheese balls" at such a place - I can't deny how good they were. For desert, a brownie with walnuts was served - the balance between a half cooked (intentionally) middle and a crisp crust was excellent. The chocolate flavor was superb. All in all, a great restaurant that we'll return to.
I do wish however that the trend of not having sound deadening materials in restaurants passes. Having a conversation when the place started to fill around 7:30 became challenging. The ceiling is open and there is no carpeting covering the polished cement floors. Its very loud for such a mid-sized place and takes away from the intimate nature they are seemingly going for.
Great food and great service as always!
We went there to celebrate a birthday and when we asked to get the Tasting Menu (whereby the Chef serves up an assortment of dishes) we were informed that the Chef did not want to provide that service that night and did not have the supplies to do so. We ended up ordering off the menu. The steaks had a lot of gristle, the pork chop was undercooked, and the desserts were horrible. I would have had a better cheesecake from HY-Vee. Overall this place is a disappointment.
I got a reservation for Saturday night at 7pm. The location is brilliant however finding parking was a bit daunting. It was also a little confusing to get into the restaurant. Once in, I was greeted promptly and the staff were very nice. There was no wait which was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress did a wonderful job on making a suggestion for drinks and the drink selection offered something for everyone. She visited our table enough to make us feel taken care without hoovering. We ordered the steak and roasted chicken. The meats were very bland. The skin on the chicken was nicely done and it was not dry, but just lacked flavor. There was also a bramble of broccoli thrown on top of my chicken that made the plating an immediate turn off. I was so underwhelmed that I couldn't really wrap my head around the price point. The potatoes were wonderful and the greens salad was the highlight of the meal. We ordered the brownie and I was just so beyond disappointed. It tasted the same as the brownies from Pizza Hut. I was excited about the vanilla coffee sauce, but I struggled to identify any coffee flavor. The fresh cream on top was wonderful however. The seating is very close together and the noise level at a certain point was bad enough that it made it seem as though we couldn't have a conversation without yelling at one another. It also seemed to impose on other's conversations. I'm rather unimpressed that the restaurant area is on the bottom floor instead of being placed on the higher floor to be able to enjoy the view that's offered.
