Fri, Sat 11:30 am–10:00 pm
Reservation for 6:45 pm, Saturday evening, arrived early to find front doors padlocked. Accessed facility through bar, only one customer in bar who directed us to the empty dining room. Downhill experience from there, as owner stated staff had not arrived. From atmosphere, to service, to food quality,....very poor.
We had reservation at 4:00 pm when we walked to the door there was a closed sign so we walked in and they guy said he didn’t have a waitress but he will serve us and closed and locked the door. The bar section was open.
If you want good service and good food go to this restaurant. The best chicken appetizer ever. Beatriz the waitress has the best attitude for customer service she recommend and kept checking on us. She is funny and insist on romance and get up and dance. She is the most friendly person I ever met in a restaurant. She loves to give hugs. Our first time there and we had made a new friend and left very happy with the service. This is for sure a keeper place to eat at
We showed up at 6:20 behind a 8 person group and a three person group. The large group had already ordered and had drinks. Our drinks took a while but our sizzling tostadas took about an hour to arrive. While the team was nice and apologetic it was painfully slow.
Food took over well over 30min to arrive.
We went for dinner and ordered chicken fajita. The chicken was very dry, it seemed like it was reheated and served to us. The other dish was the beef tostada, the beef was ok, lots of piled lettuce.
We went their to celebrate my mothers 89th birthday and when we got there we were told it was closed to the public and that there was a private party going on. Very disappointed.
Restaurant was closed up entirely when we arrived. Open Table still accepting reservations at the time. WTF?
Great food, great people, and a spectacular view.
Couldn’t truly rate the food because we Actually, never got any food. We were there a total of 1 1/2 hours:
Waited a good 15 minutes before anyone even came over to seat us. Another 20 minutes to get menus & place settings. Still no waiter. Went to bar to get our own Margaritas. Went back to get the drinks after we saw drinks sitting there awhile and still no waiter/waitress. After quite awhile someone finally took our order. After another long wait some food was brought over that looked like our order. A minute later a waitress comes over and asks if we “took a bite” because it was not our order and food was then whisked away to another table. Waited a while longer and saw we had been at the restaurant 1 1/2 hours now and still didn’t have any food. Time to blow this joint!!
Did I mention it was Cinco de Mayo and the place was nearly empty?!!
Supposedly Estrada's has been around as an eatery for over 100 years. I think it's time they close as a restaurant and just expand the bar and make it a bar business. We went Condo De Mayo and they were absolutely not prepared for any kind of volume and it wasn't even busy. The bar was doing good business, the servers and I think the owner who was tending the bar was very very nice and when the food came out it was tasty and good value but it took forever and there seems to be absolutely no systems in place. So they should either hire a manager and systematize the process and train or just make it a nice bar and maybe even a salsa club.
Very nice place! Good music and food! Female manager took care of my table very well. Only thing is one male waiter was left alone and had to handle the place alone. He did a great job though! Will definitely come back!!
Very interesting place, it has been there forever. You have to get the hot salad, it's the best.
This was my first visit to Estrada's and I'll definitely return. The food and beverages were an excellent value for the price. Our server was outstanding, one of the best ever. She was friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. Julio, the owner, stopped by our table and we had a great conversation with him. Highly recommended!
We arrived at the restaurant on time. An OPEN sign was on the door but the restaurant was closed. A sign with operating hours showed that they did not open until 4:30 on Tuesday. Why was I able to make a reservation for 1pm if they are not open??? We were celebrating the 87th birthday of a dear close friend. Had to come up with somewhere else to celebrate his birthday.
By the way the outside of restaurant looked very run down. Will never try t o eat there.
Estrada's has always been a favorite of ours over the years. The menu has changed a few times, but it offers delicious choices, especially in the combination plates which are served hot and plentiful plates. Atmosphere is nice, but recorded music blaring is too loud. The restaurant wasn't very busy on a recent Friday night, Hopefully it picked up later. They also are open for lunch.
Bernadette was great.
Old school celebrating 100 years of service. I had been there for memorable tostadas and margaritas many years ago. I was a little afraid to return, as I feared deterioration, but was not disappointed. The restaurant is well kept up. The service was knowledgable, attentive and friendly. Food is uniques a well done. Absolutely fresh cevice. On site parking. Lovely casual meal! Will be back!
The food was good, but it was weird that on Mother's Day The restaurant ran out of ice cream the previous night and that the Posole was not ready.
Appetizers were amazing but roasted pork and famous food network tostada were far from delicious. Margarita was pretty good. We waited a long time to have our order taken but eating the chips and tasty salsa while waiting helped.
Bought a house!
