What a cool spot. Food was excellent, server was so nice and we would definitely go back.

We frequent this restaurant fairly often and as usual had great food with excellent service.

This was the first time I was at EXILE and it was beyond outstanding. The waitress was extremely friendly. She let us be aware a few times that the kitchen was behind a bit and the wait was longer, but we were just enjoying out time there and didn't mind at all. The food and drinks were like no other. We had the Broccoli "wings", cod, chicken and pasta - and none of us had any complaints about it.

Really enjoyed it. Would return!

Party of 3, we were celebrating my birthday, from the time we got there until we left we had an amazing experience. Food was excellent, we took advantage of the Generous pour promo, and was very impressed with the social distancing measures, we felt safe and at ease, and the atmosphere was fun and modern. Special shout out to our server Sky, she was fantastic, took great care of us and didn’t rush us out at the end of the evening! 5 stars!

Exile is our go-to for consistently good food and service, whether for an evening out with friends or for Sunday brunch with the family. This past weekend we had a very nice meal with my best friend and her husband (so glad we still have the option here in NL!).

The Korean fried broccoli “wings” were spectacular, tender but with a bit of crunch, and the duck confit nachos were both interestingly unique and comfortingly familiar. My husband’s pasta with cream, garlic, bacon and olives was delicious but with all of the cheese, olives and bacon in it, the overall effect was a bit too salty for our palates if having more than a small serving. My beef tenderloin was nicely done (I eat mine medium rare) and the turmeric rice and asparagus were a nice light counterpoint to steak.

They were also excellent with maintaining appropriate physical distancing and following precautions, so we felt safe and confident. All in all, another successful evening and we will continue to keep this as our go-to spot!

The service and the food were excellent! Although it was a very busy evening we were very impressed with our meal and the wait staff were phenomenal.

Had a very pleasant evening at Exile - great food, steak was prepared perfectly and broccoli appetizer was delicious.

We have eaten at The Exile several times over the years and keep coming back. We love it. The food is tasty and hot, the drinks are delicious and the staff are all super friendly. We will return again for sure.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. I love the decor and staff... both are always welcoming. The food during this visit was DELICIOUS!! I work up the next morning craving the lamb appetizer I had. I can't wait to go back.

We were promptly met and escorted to our table.
The food was excellently prepared and presented.
The server was polite and helpful.

Great food, great service! Exile really has gone the extra mile with Covid19 protocols. It felt very safe, yet relaxed and comfortable. Love the music that is always just at the right volume to allow for conversation. I wish more downtown restaurants would follow suit.

Thank-you for making the accommodation to adjust our seating to the corner window. The front desk staff was new but very helpful and the food was delicious. Enjoyed the masks for the night as a great way to transition from my crazy week to a relaxing weekend! Thanks

I stayed at the JAG hotel and chose to eat here for breakfast. Highly recommend the fish cake and beans breakfast. It isn’t a “cheap” option for meals, but good quality, delicious food and excellent service. Would eat here again.

Menue has been changed. Go to This restaurant often. Did not enjoy the new menue changed. Seemed to be more brunch style as opposed to lunch.

After dining at several other establishments during the pandemic & being consistently disappointed with the service & food quality...Our experience at Exile was great & refreshing. Cleanliness & social distancing was a priority yet the service & food quality was not compromised. The prices were excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Would definitely return & recommend to others.

The ambience of this place is excellent. It’s like no other place in St. John’s. If you are a burger fan you can get your burger done to your preferred level of cooking.

The whole experience at Exile was very enjoyable. The rock-and-roll decor, music and vibe of the place is great fun.The music is great, but not too loud. The scallop starter was tender and flavourful. The beef tenderloin entree was very tender, well seasoned on fluffy mashed potatoes. The pumpkin cheesecake I had was also very tasty. They also have a good selection of wines by-the-glass from around the world. Our server was friendly and efficient. There really is nothing I can fault, and I would definitely eat there again.
