Farm & Vine Bistro is the culinary vision of Chef Hakan. We are a new restaurant now opened in Burlingame. Chef Hakan brings the art of food on to your plate. His 25 years of experience in San Francisco and the Bay Area, along with his ambition for food and cooking, make him famous at local neighborhood restaurants.     We were served after a few people came in after us. Parts of my Turkey was dry, Fruit (4) flys at my table 1 landed I smashed it. Manager was not told. Only I saw them. They tried with all the people coming in to eat. Not sure if I would or wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

    Despite a corporate event taking place on the same Wednesday night the food and service levels were wonderful. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her birthday dinner and complementary gelato. Definitely now on our top list of restaurants.

    The servers are amazing and the best I've had in a very long time! We enjoyed the sole stuffed with crab, which was cooked perfectly. I'm looking forward to returning to Farm and Vine!

    I brought my husband and family here for my husband's birthday, and was pleasantly surprised by the menu options and all the delicious dish descriptions. It is not traditional Italian in a good way. The octopus appetizer special was very good and so was my seafood paella. My friend had the dungeness crab risotto special and her only complaint was there wasn't enough crab. My husband had the short ribs which he enjoyed. Service was very attentive, cocktails were good but no kids menu. Prices reasonable for the bay area but portions are on the smaller side for the entrées and cheese plate but not necessarily a bad thing. Many dishes I would like to try and would go again.

    We loved our time at Farm and Vine. The wait staff was friendly and helpful while choosing our meal and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the penne with chicken, it was so good. Overall, 5/5!

    First time going here. The arugula salad with beets was very fresh and good. We had the petrali sole and vegetable risotto. Both very fresh and nicely prepared and presented. Enjoyed the affagato and salted Carmel ice cream for desert. Nice restaurant. We will go back.

    Another fabulous meal and dinner experience at Farm and Vine! We had the Brussels and cheese plate to start, accompanied by French Martini cocktails which are soooo good. Next the Caesar salad and then a variety of entrees among the 5 of us. Totally recommend the short ribs and the short rib tortellini, delish! Big raves and happiness from those who ordered the lamb and the petrole sole dinners. Dessert with glasses of “bubbles” wrapped up the evening nicely. The wait staff was attentive and wonderful. We will definitely go back!

    Our server was fantastic. She was just the right amount of attentive. The food was a tiny bit bland. The desserts were delicious. The noise level was a bit high even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. I think the interior can use a big update. A lot less clutter. A lot more light. It was a fun place and we will be returning.

    This was a very quaint restaurant that offers all of the clout of a San Francisco gem without having to battle the traffic. We were staying near the airport and wanted a nice dinner. Farm and Vine was a great, close option. We did the ribeye entree with lots of sides and shared everything, I think that’s the best way to get a taste of all the yummy things offered without compromising or having to do another visit. The outside seating is a great way to maximize the summer weather and have a quieter experience, whilst getting to peep all the dogs walking by!

    We celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday at Farm and Vine and dined in their outside patio. Service was prompt and our server was delightful. The halibut special was delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf and raved about each and every bite. We have been frequenting this restaurant since they first opened and never seem to leave a morsel of food on our plate when finished eating, ever. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Burlingame.

    Sat outside so didn’t have the same cute ambiance as inside but it was fine. Several dogs with various patrons in outside area (in case this is important to you). Saw the server bring little containers of water to the dog near us. Waiter was attentive and helpful. Food was good but nothing extra ordinary. I was excited for the Organic Mixed Green Salad w/prawns added but it was just meh…the shrimp didn’t have much flavor and the salad dressing wasn’t my favorite. The others I was with ordered chicken sandwiches and enjoyed their meal but weren’t wowed. I would go back though and try some other items.

    Magnificent meal. Best burger on the peninsula hands down. Capellini with chicken was also divine. Fun cocktails too. Try the mango margarita and spicy prickly pear with jalapeño. These juicy cocktails are bursting with flavors. They also had a special fried anchovy appetizer that was so unique. I don’t usually like seafood but this was delicious. They use a fresh anchovy paired with a lemony sauce topped with bright watermelon radish and greens tossed in a little vinaigrette. Chocolate lava cake has a warm and crispy outer crust, sinfully delicious chocolate oozes from on the inside and the ice cream on top makes it all melt in your mouth. Service is equally as wonderful as the food. Truly charming owner and staff. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Consummate professionals. They really know what they’re doing here. It’s the perfect place for a hearty meal and a fun time with friends or family. Convenient location by the train station. And seriously: you don’t want to die without having tried the burger here at least once!

    Loved dining at this innovative, fresh and delicious establishment where the specials are always amazing and current and the staff is warm, friendly and professional! I make a point to dine there at least a few times when I'm in town! Great drinks, bartender and wine list as well. Chef Hakan is amazingly talented!!

    Came here with my parents for my mom's birthday. We were seated around 6:30 pm and left the restaurant close to 9 pm. Service was absolutely slow and our server was not very attentive. Bread came 45 mins after seating. I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar but it didn't arrive. I waited about 10 minutes to realize our waiter had forgotten the request. So I had to ask another person for it. Then about 5 minutes after that, our appetizers came then the entrees. After we were done eating, we waited for the dessert menu which also took a while. I did note that we were celebrating my mom's birthday but I guess the hostess didn't inform our waiter about it. So no happy birthday for her. I don't think I will be coming back. Also, food-wise, everything was ok; it wasn't anything memorable. And don't waste your money on the paella.

    This is a nice restaurant for the decor and the excellent service, the kind staff. There are some panels on the ceiling that seems like acoustic traps to lower the noise, which is too rare in the Bay Area… the food is eatable but does not make you wish to come back for more… The wine list is interesting and priced reasonably.

    had high hopes and wanted to love Farm and Vine for Chef Hakan and the concept but this restaurant fell incredibly flat. Our dinner was a graduation celebration and from the get-go after confirming we were celebrating, we remarked the bread was tasty , is it freshly baked on sight? After several inquiries we gave up realizing we weren’t going to get an answer. Our very demure server could /would not provide suggestions based personal experience or popularity, did not offer suggestions, repeatedly said it’s “personal preference” which was really confusing. We asked a simple question of can you make an entree vegetarian (swap a sauce?) she then pointed to the vegetarian options. She *read* the specials list off of a card but didn’t seem to know any details. Very quiet and unenthusiastic. We ordered (two) boned in ribeye -mushroom sauce on the side entrees. The steak was extremely fatty, underwhelming in taste. Diner steak and egg style.also ordered a very mediocre capellini adding prawns entree and squid ink pasta w/prawns entree (after asking the usual pre-emotive squid ink questions) Prawns in both entrees were rubbery and both pastas were subpar with the squid ink being Drenched in “sauce” calamari was flavorless and rubbery - served dangerously close to and in a large blob of sauce, The Brussels sprouts were tangy and “chewy” the server asked if my daughter was unhappy with the uneaten squid ink pasta and my daughter said yes the server simply said “ohhhh sorry…..” same with the fat on the steak plate….etc… did not inquire why , didn’t offer an alternative. never mentioned my daughter’s graduation - which was the main reason we dined there. In the end we paid our bill and left. If you want uniformed service from unenthusiastic, unknowable staff when craving mediocre food drenched in a myriad of (sometimes) thick sauces (Good thing we asked for it “on the side” for the beef in a nice ambiance this is your place ☹️
