FIG & OLIVE Meatpacking
We wanted to try it for restaurant week. It was great from start to finish.
Love this place! A must see!
Amazing service and ambiance--love this restaurant! It's my go-to for business and social get togethers in Chelsea.
Beautiful room with a nice buzz. We enjoyed the appetizers and the crostini more than our entrees, but overall not bad for a prime location. I would definitely be back. Maybe just load up on a lot of their tasty Crostini's and wine instead of the entrees. Service was very attentive and friendly.
This place is pretty spot on. The service and food is great. One interesting thing I noted, which is a-typical for NY. The waiter didn’t press the bill on us. I had to actually ask for it!
You don’t get points from Open Table for dining here.
Excelente fiesta de fin de año
The waiter was excellent.
Ambiance / space is fantastic. Appetizers were great, entrees were too heavily salted. Service was a bit slow.
Absolutely love Fig and Olive and go there every time when in nyc and La. and this one is my favorite location . They added live music on sat and Sunday’s which is amazing !!! The band was sooooo talented. They do have to hire new wait staff though. Our waiter came once during an entire brunch . Never refilled coffee or water . Rolled his eyes when we called him. Absolutely horrible wait staff
Delicious option of food and good service.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful
We had a guest who is vegan and another gluten intolerant
And they were accommodated well
The wine section is nice and prices are fair
For a dinner of 5 people we paid under 500$ with two bottles of wine and a free drinks to start with
I saw that as good
Locals out for dinner with other locals celebrating the holidays. Meal was excellent, our pace was not rushed, and fellow diners were enjoying themselves! Will definitely return.
Lovely spot for lunch. Beautiful setting. Tastings of olive oils is nice way to appreciate how different they can be. Informative waiter as well who made great recommendations.
Great food! Although be aware that the happy hour menu is only good at the bar.
The Sunday Jazz brunch is always great
Excellent menu. Food had tons of flavor
Dinner on a Friday night even at 8pm was a deep base beat from the DJ.
Great with friends, clients or alone. Love this place!
What a terrific menu with imaginative salads. Very nice.
Wonderful evening w friends! Food (new items for Fall) was as outstanding as always... Service also excellent! Good energy all around...
Always excellent! The crostini are a must, the dipping oils and bread a benchmark in pre-dinner bread baskets. We'll be back again!
Great night out!
Food was ok - not worth the money. We also had a really
Obnoxious table next to us which took away from the experience. I likely would not go again. I was not overly impressed.
Love it food amazing and also service
Loved everything about the experience. They handled my food allergy ( celiac) beautifully. We always have a great meal here.
Excellent food and service. Our table was wobbly, but it was quickly remedied. The DJ was fantastic, and the restaurant has a great vibe to it.
Already recommended it to a ton of people. Hands down my favorite restaurant in NYC. Great location, great food, great service. I also really appreciated that they were open on a holiday. Made a holiday for single people bearable. Thank you.
The food was very creative and we enjoyed everything we had. It is a place where you could o just small plates or a full meal. Our server was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very nice.
Very poor quality food. Nice space/decor. Busy. But food is disappointing.
Writing the same review I put on Google. The food was great up until it wasn’t...but it was the service that I’ll never forget
I’ve been to this Fig & Olive before and had a really good experience which is why it sucks I have to write this review. Last night my date takes her first bite of a steak (one of the two entrees we’re splitting) and pulls out a hair that’s a mile long. We thought it could’ve been her’s for a second but the hair was wrapped around the steak in a knot. Listen, as disgusting as it was, accidents happen. This next part is what was terrible. Waiter comes over, apologizes and says he’s sending the manager. 15 minutes and the manager never comes. Waiter eventually comes back and says ‘we’re taking the steak off the bill to accommodate you’. I say ‘you mean the steak that we sent back and didn’t reorder?’ He says ‘yes that’s right’. Are you kidding me?? So basically my dinner with my lovely date is ruined with the cook’s hair and to make it up to us is they don’t charge me for the steak that we didn’t have one bite of (except for the hair piece). I’m sorry but both you the waiter and even worse you the coward manager should be embarrassed. I’m not the type to demand more bc we just had an awful experience, it’s up to you to make it right. If this was my establishment I would’ve comped this meal and the next one for a microscopic hope to not lose your patronage, or even worse receive this awful review. I loved Fig & Olive here and in LA up until this point. But shame on you for ruining our night. Hair accidents happen, but what you did or should I say didn’t do to correct it was the awful part.
The evening was fantastic! It started out on the right note with a lovely & accommodating Hostess who sat us in our preferred seating without hesitation. She wanted us happy. Then the staff was on the mark as was our favorite dishes-the Paella and Salmon!
Ps not pressure to rush you out,
Great Evening celebrating my Brothers birthday?
Found this restaurant on Open Table. Out for dinner with a friend. The food was really very good. But, at the prices they charge, the food and experience should be stellar. So I deducted a star for value. If money is no object, you'll have a fine meal. Not the best but not disappointing.
Service was ok though
Beautiful and welcoming venue in the meatpacking area. We went with friends and found the ambiance very pleasant and the food and wine superb!! A great experience
Live music at brunch was amazing.
Food was good - the music was MUCH louder than I expected. I went on a date night with my boyfriend and we had to speak quite loudly even though it was just the two of us. The food was good though! Everything we ordered came out quickly and was tasty.
A bit unrelated - but my boyfriend and I both had like allergy attacks that came out of nowhere while we were there. We both got really congested out of nowhere and my eyes started to itch too. Because of this, we ended up eating quickly and rushing out to grab some antihistamines.
WE WILL RECOMMEND FIG & OLIVE (MEATPACKING TO A FRIEND. HOWEVER, THERE WAS ONE SNAFU DURING DINNER. OUR SERVER (IVANA) POURED A GLASS OF WINE TO ONE OUR OUR GUESTS. WHEN SHE PUT THE BOTTLE BACK ON THE TABLE SHE PLACED IT ON THE UNEVEN SEEM OF TWO TABLES NEXT TO EACH OTHER. THE BOTTLE FELL OVER AND SPILLED ON THE TABLE AND ON TWO OF OUR GUESTS AND THEIR CHAIRS. THE STAFF AND MANAGER WERE QUICK TO CLEAN THIS UP. I THOUGHT A GESTURE OF "SOMETHING COMPLIMENTARY" WOULD HAVE BEEN A NICE TOUCH. OTHER THAN THAT WE HAD A NICE EXPERIENCE.
I loved the restaurant itself. It is so beautifully decorated. The food was very good but I don’t feel that the portions are worth the price. I ordered the paella to split with a friend that was close to $40. We were shocked. The portion could barely feed one person.
I love Fig and Olive! The cauliflower, cocktail shrimp, and sea bass were great. However, the oysters all had little bits of shell in each one which was frustrating as they are a bit pricey.
