Fionn MacCool's - St. John's

Food was great! Slow kitchen service due to computer glitch with skip the dishes orders but it was recognized that we had been waiting long and offered something for our patience’s.

Fionn MacCool’s is our family night out go to place. We love it there. Staff, service and food is always sooo good. My oldest daughter is too old to order from kids menus at other places, but Fionn MacCool’s alway lets her order from it, and we love that.

The service was excellent, the food was great but came to the table not quite as hot as I would like it to be, over all great evening.

Excellent service. Great food. Live music was a bonus.

Everything was good. Especially impressed at the care taken to provide safe delicious gluten free meal!

I was hoping there would be live entertainment when I reserved and was pleased that it happened.

Food was a little expensive. We were unaware of the portions, would have been nice if the server would have indicated how much each appetizer would feed. We also felt we were being pushed to finish our meal. We are willing to give it one more try.

Food was cold. Appetizer pretty much came out before we even ordered then main meal came out immediately after and was cold. Felt VERY rushed. Horrible experience

This is my second time going here! The food and the service is amazing. Will be back again soon!

Could not stay for food as the live music was incredibly loud.
Mentioned to others who have been there during live music (3 different people) said the same.
No matter where seated in restaurant, live music way too loud.

Not really a great value for the food you receive. My fries were very soggy my family’s were cold

Great live music on thursdays, great food, great service. We had the spinach dip, steak, chicken & waffles, then some beer and sangria. Would definitely recommend.

Fries were cold, burger was good but a little dry for my taste. Need a menu mixup!! Have only been here 3 times since opened and it appears to be the same exact menu!

My meal was cold, fries greasy and soggy. The others in my party enjoyed their food. Large post between 2 seats, hard to chat with a group of 6, very highly noise levels. Felt like we were shouting at each other most of the night.

We were seated right away and staff very friendly. We had a party of 5 adults and were placed in a booth which was crowded for three of us. Food was fabulous as usual.

The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. My meal of steak pie was delicious. My wife did not enjoy her burger as much. It was dry and overcooked. Live entertainment was good. About what you expect from a mid-range roadside diner.

The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing. This will definitely be my go to place.

Calamari was excellent mini Yorkies could have been hotter, main course Ruben good fries over cooked many times Fettuccine good but chicken tough

Great food and service

No social distancing as seen in all other restaurants I have been in recently . Our chairs were touching the chairs of those sat behind us - definitely not 6ft distance. Music was also very loud (unable to have a conversation with person sat across from us.)

Delicious food, fries were a tiny bit salty, but good overall. Would definitely go back. Great place for pub grub and a beer!

Bring back your sticky toffee pudding or apple dessert. Having only 2 desserts with chocolate does not work for someone who cannot eat chocolate

I (female) walked in ahead of a group (3 males) and the hostess (female) addressed the group before me. Didn't even acknowledge me. So not feeling very welcome to start. The drinks came quickly. Our server was tableside quickly and drinks came very quickly. Awesome! Then we watched the kitchen staff make our food. Majority weren't wearing masks in the middle of a global pandemic. One was but then adjusted the mask by grabbing the front of the mask and continue working on food. The server made an effort to speak loudly due to the mask and all front of house staff were wearing masks which was great to see. I love the anesthetics of the restaurant, the brick and dim lighting is wonderful. The avocado bacon burger was so boring. No flavor, dry. Not enjoyable. We will not be returning due to kitchen staff not wearing masks.

Service was great. Many of the beers on tap sold out. Food was tasty but messy to eat.

Service was amateurish, food desperate. Appetizers arrived after a 30 minute wait, and then mains appeared seconds later. The result was rushed appetizers and cold mains. utensils, napkins, water etc. all required special requests. hamburger was cold, Cesar salt covered in raw cold bacon. Yuck, Server was made aware and shrugged. No apology or anything else.

First time going. The service and atmosphere were awesome. Nachos were a huge disappointment - the chicken on the nachos tasted old and there was hardly any cheese on them. We didn’t tell our server because we already had a coupon for a free app. For $19 nachos you could do better.
