Firebirds Wood Fired Grill - Leesburg
This was our first visit and we are glad to have discovered this place. Excellent food - from the soup to filet minion to salmon - everything was very well prepared. The drinks were great and service was excellent. We could not get to the dessert - so no comments!
Looking forward to going back there again.
The staff and food at this Firebirds location is phenomenal! Highly recommended!!!
Food as always was delicious. Service was wonderful and prompt.
This was a birthday dinner at what has become our go-to place since moving into the area a few months ago. The food and the staff never disappoint - which is probably why it's our go-to place. And, with half off wine on Mondays - a great value.
Firebirds is a great place for friend’s to get together. THe staff was welcoming and attentive from the time we arrived to the time we left and the food was amazing and our waiter, Ryan Hannah provided outstanding service!
Good food based on an interesting and changing menu. Very good staff.
They had no trouble seating us early and promptly brought water and menus and followed up with drink and then food orders in turn. Service was warm but not overly familiar. Walked us thru the specials for both drinks and food. Great service.
We had the two seasonal specials, the scallops and pork chop. Both were outstanding. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the tomato coulis topping was exceptional. The orzo served with the scallops was incredible. We considered taking a quart home with us! The only minor issue was the restaurant temperature. It was a bit too warm for eating and drinking, in our opinion.
Yes absolutely. The food is phenomenal as well as the service!
Great food and service, the ambiance is great.
So much better than the last time. Must have been an off day before.
Great restaurant, probably an off night. Great service but the kitchen was not it’s best
Firebirds never disappoints! They always provide the highest levels of service with unbeatable food!
The steaks we ordered were great. The baby back rib was enjoyed by our guest. The server is somewhat green, but he'll learn. He just need to be more personable, but he's finding his niche. We always had the server from Russia and she was very personable. Just tell the server to relax and not be too scared, but do be attentive and know. Example, when someone orders ribs, know that its messy and a nice wet towel or extra napkins are needed. Ask whether diners would like condiments. Don't worry too much about the straw. Personally I think just give it if there's no policy against it. When someone is too concern about such small items it cheapens the experience. Also one bread for 4 adults? If you are going to drop only one for 4 guests, then come back to offer more. When restaurants start getting cheap, then the experience will become cheap. Also, don't ask if the diners want bread. If the bread is something the restaurant provides, then just place it.
We visit this Firebirds a lot for special dinners and it has always been exceptional. This visit was disappointing both in service and food. We ordered an appetizer with our drinks and waited until after the drinks had come to order our entrees. We wanted our appetizer to enjoy before dinner, while we waited. Instead, it took quite a while for the appetizer, which was served at the same time as our salads, making us rush to finish both before our entrees came. We also asked for bread (which is normally offered automatically), but it didn't come until we had requested it twice more. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the food quality, which was much below typical Firebirds standards. All four of us ordered filets prepared medium, two as surf-and-turf with lobster tails. Mine was definitely well-done, not a hint of pink. The other three were at most medium well, with only a tiny strip of light pink. The most disappointing part of the meal was the lobster tails, which were over-cooked and rubbery. Definitely not the delicious lobster tails we have come to expect. We also had to ask for the melted butter three times...the second time we were served table butter, but finally got it on our third try. We have always loved Firebirds and hope that this was an unusual occurrence and not the new norm.
Food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. The server was inattentive...Lowe had to ask for drink refills and bread.
This was my 1st time and it was Father's Day. We had a reservation which proved helpful as it was pretty crowded. We booked because of the Delmonico steak and the prime rib. Everything was good but the prime rib was really fatty. They were out of the appetizer we ordered, but the manager comped the dessert to make up for it. Will visit again, maybe during happy hour!
Delicious food, OUTSTANDING service, a wonderful Father's Day celebration. The manager really made my grand daughter's day while celebrating with her Pop Pop and dad.
We were pushed to order and move along! We were not allowed to sit and talk and have a drink together as we were pushed to order right away. They even brought out our entree within a minute of giving us our salad. Our steaks just sat on the table while we gobbled down our salads in order to get to our steaks before they got cold! We spent over $250.00 for 4 people and you would think we were at a McDonald's fast food restaurant.
We had a great time with friends. I ordered the steak salad, it came perfectly cooked, and gluten free! The happy hour prices obviously are much better on the drinks however, the company made up for that.
Completely disappointed - Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a overcooked, cold cheeseburger with no bacon. The side of fries was pathetic. Didn't realize a side of fries meant like 10 total wedges. We also ordered a app and never received it.
Having been to this location a few times, this was chosen for a special celebration. However, this time the service negatively outweighed everything else. Our waiter forgot to put our food order in for over an hour. He also tried to rush us out of the table because his friends were coming ......
One of our steaks was extremely overcooked. His response - oh sorry, I watched them as they cooked to time them (seriously, that's all he said about it). Overall, food was great, ambiance is great, nice outdoor patio. Service will be a never-returning, though.
Friendly service. Me and my wife (both retired military) went there for their veteran’s appreciation meal. We would like to thank Firebirds for their recognition of service veterans !! Thank you ! As it was our first time at that place, we shall return. Cheers
Experience was much better this time around! Chris the Regional Manager was there and took the time to come say hello, as did the General Manager Byran, which was greatly appreciated. The dinner was cooked properly and my girls were happy. Thank you for making up for the prior experience.
My Daughter and Friends loved their meals and Server. Prom night was made extra special because of your Restaurant!
The reservation was made several days in advance and verified by Phone from restaurant staff for five adults. The table at which we were first seated would have barely accommodated four adults comfortably but with a chair in the aisle to accommodate the fifth adult was definitely inappropriate. Staff did accommodate our request to move to a more appropriate table and more comfortable seating arrangement.
Everything was awesome. Waiter John was awesome and just totally blew it out of the park. Thanks!
Very noisey. It would be great if you could incorporate some sound-absorbing materials into the dining rooms. Our table was ready ahead of our reservation time, which was very nice. Staff was very accommodating.
Tuna salads were good. Sirloin steak was dry. Expected a charred outside and moist inside from wood fired grill.
Service great-waiter awesome. GREAT JOB I’ve been to Firebirds many times and not surprised how well prepared the staff was. Thankd
Asked server if they had rare prime rib available. She went back and asked where she was told “yes”. So I ordered it. What came out was med rare to medium. My daughter ordered a New York strip medium and it came out well. Not what I wanted to pay for.
Excellent experience at Firebirds! It was a busy night being Mother’s Day weekend AND prom but our server and staff did an excellent job- there was a delay with our table (no one’s fault just the party using the table before us was taking their time) and the manager was so accommodating. Food was excellent and the evening was perfect. Thank you!
A burger and a chicken sandwich and one beer and bill was $43 with tip. Waaay overpriced! Could have gone across the street for way less. Food was good but nothing to write home about.
Last Saturday I went there with my family. I ordered pasta without the bacon but when I received my order it had bacon. I informed the waitress she apologized and the manager gave me another order without bacon for free.
We had to ask for a drinks menu because the dinner menu only listed the wines. We ordered 3 entrees: prime rib, NY strip, and a chicken sandwhich. It took a very long time to receive our food. The manager did come out to tell us they had to recook one of the 3 entrees but he did not know which one. The presentation of the prime rib entree was not good, so I suspect the problem may have been with that entree. Also, the waiter was unaware of the cause for the delay, which I thought was odd the manager did not have him deliver the message. The NY strip steak was done as ordered, however it was a little over-salted. Usually restaurants do not salt their steaks much if at all, so that merits deducting some points. Other than that the food was excellent. For the service and quality I would say it is a bit over-priced.
Good service. Excellent food.
The wood fire grill was not working so they had a limited menu. Small portions that were overpriced. Definitely not worth the price.
Had a new waitress, but she was very thoughtful. Food was great. If you sit inside you are not allowed to participate in happy hour. They my want to reconsider this policy.
This was terrible mall food. Food was unimaginative, poorly cooked, oily, and a complete disappointment even for strip mall food. Red Robin would have been a better choice. Only plus, server was great. Don't bother with this joint. You can do better.
