A great restaurant, lovely decor, friendly attentive service and absolutely phenomenal food.
Great food and quick service for our table of eight
Lovely fresh fish - mussels a little on small size but sauce delicious and the halibut was outstanding. Just sad I didn't have room for a desert on this occasion but the halibut was massive. Beautifully cooked.
It's just a lovely restaurant, very pleasant staff, nice surroundings and good to see fresh fish produce on the counter. Well worth a visit.
Absolutely delicious food, very good wine and cocktails. Would absolutely recommend. Lovely accommodating friendly staff
Good quality food, helpful service, not rushed.
Amazing food. Our server was amazing, she recommended great dishes and her hospitality was outstanding.
Would definitely be back
I have been here on many occasions and the level of service, food is always on point.
They have one of the best sea food platters in London - always fresh, cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Great food at great value. Friendly staff and very comfortable atmosphere. Recommended for sure
Very enjoyable pre-theatre meal. The sea bream was excellent - cooked to perfection. Restaurant was pretty busy and the staff run off their feet but they did as good a job as possible and were very polite & friendly.
Good experience at Fishworks. Good food, friendly service and reasonably priced. However, we did have a very nice table for 2 next to the window. Other tables looked close together and not as comfortable. That said it was all very enjoyable, albeit getting a little noisy when we left.
Always have a great experience at this Fishworks. Lovely food and the set menu is excellent value.
Eaten here before but this visit was below par. We were a table of 5 for a birthday. We didn't get out starters till an hour after arrival. Poured our own wine throughout and despite notifying early on that the hand sanitizer was out, nothing was done about it. Thankfully the starter and main were good or else I would probably never go back. The lemon tart for desert was poor. Plenty of walk-ins got food before us so I might go back as a two, but unlikely as a group. It's a shame as in the past this restaurant has been fine.
Lovely food, lovely venue
Lovely food, great service.
Very happy with service, we got very lovely meal a bit too big for one person, guide pricy but good quality.
Tasty fresh and creative food served by friendly attentive looking staff.
Lovely food, excellent service
My sister and I ordered from the pre-theatre menu. I had the mussels to start, my sister had the salad. Both were very tasty and a good size for a starter. We both had the sea bream main. The fish was cooked perfectly and was delicious! We shared a side of fries and ordered a carafe of wine from the recommended list to pair with sea food. The wine was also excellent. Our server was polite, friendly, and helpful with my sisters allergies. We will absolutely be back.
Good value food. Staff really welcoming and friendly
We had the theatre menu which was to endure that we would not be late for the theatre.
The service was excellent and so was the food.
Would definitely recommend.
Lovely meal good value Fruits de Mer & fizz for 2 Perfect
A beautiful restaurant with exceptional quality food and a first class service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and we'll definitely come back again.
Lovely staff, starters really good. Disappointed with the Seafood platter to share. Only half a crab and one claw (to share should be at least 2 claws or stated in description). Also the mussels were tiny. Service good and compensated for disappointing platter.
Fabulous meal with excellent service. The King scallops were superb and the blackened mackerel delicious.
The waiter who served us was brilliant, very attentive and frequently checked on us and our comfort. Despite only being with the Fishworks for a month he was a great asset to the business.
Sorry for being a bit disappointed. It just really did not sparkle
We had booked for the pre theatre menu and it was alright - certainly a lot better out there. Taramasalata had a hair in it unfortunately. Calamari looked sorry for itself on the large plate …. Pot on Mayo on the side and half a lemon but nothing else so just look white on white (even served in a bowl with the pot of Mayo in the middle would have looked more attractive. Taste average. 3 oysters one was around 2.5 inches big (the shell) so you can imagine how tiny the oyster was - just don’t serve it! umm 4 fish and chips ordered all varying in size and to be honest the fish what was it? Mine looked like an off cut that was battered to save waste. Taste once again average. Tuna £6 supplement but then they advise as it is served with a tiny amount of salad a side so add another £4. Bream although nice served once again with a small sad which is peppered with chilli. Overall average and actually poor for a fish restaurant sadly wouldn’t return.
The food was poor, overcooked fis that has been kept warm for some time before being served - unacceptable
Lovely food with amazing service. Very friendly staff, especially Sylvia. Would definitely return!
Another great evening meal celebrating a special birthday in the family. Many thanks and see you again soon.
Beautiful fresh fish and a lovely wine would recommend
Great staff, amazing food, lucky to partake in the Monday half price wine offer (so had 3 bottles!!)
Spotlessly clean place
We had a great time
Whitebait, scallops, prawns, cod, monkfish, bouillabaisse and linguine - all top class
Mistake in making the booking by me could have resulted in a disappointing evening however the staff and management dealt with the problem quickly and without fuss which was greatly appreciated.
Both food and drinks menu’s are very good. Produce fresh and final product to the table was excellent.
Service to the table couldn’t have been any better.
A big thank you to the whole team!
Loved it ! Great fresh fish and wine choice. The waiters were also very accomodating.
Absolutely stunning! Amazing food and fantastic service would
Absolutely recommend it!
The food was fantastic and service excellent. We were very well looked after.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Fishworks.
We both had Tuna to start with followed by Lobster Thermidor.
The Service was excellent.
What I noticed was there was a board showing all the fresh fish they had left and the sizes, which I thought was a great idea.
A lot of people were eating the oysters which looked excellent.
I might try them next time I eat there.
First visit but will definitely be returning. All 6 meals were superb, no complaints at all. Staff were professional but friendly. Thoroughly recommend.
Excellent food and service ideally situated for theatres in Aldwych. If you love fish this is the plaice :-)
Great at the start - a nice place with attentive service. Service became slower as it became busier to the extent that we were worried about missing our show. Food - nice - smallish portions but enough - theatre menu. Chips Luke warm with very delayed fish and chips. Scallops ok too - a bread option on the menu would be good as they were a little rich without.
Overall though a pleasant experience and would visit again. It’s understandable that there may be teething issues at the present time and also being able to source enough staff.
Would recommend though as our main waiter was superb and even though there were hiccups, they weren’t enough to ruin our experience or cause too much stress.
Good fish restaurant but overpriced. Excellent service and location with the usual issue of many restaurants in the UK. Wine on the glass must be served in front of the client pouring the wine there and then. Even more so if this is champagne. Room for improvement.
