Fork - Chicago
First time dining at the Fork. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their food. Had the chicken breast which was good. I wouldn't say super excellent - but very acceptable. That's how I would describe everyone's meals. Perfectly fine, but not really outstanding in any way. The pumpkin bread pudding dessert was really good though. Ambiance fine, lots of family's there when we were dining which is also fine. Service was a little slow at times, could tell the waiter was extra busy. Again - not a biggie. Appreciated the fact that the noise level wasn't bad. Overall, if I lived in the neighborhood I'd definitely go back.
The specials were extraordinary. Fish and Chips as good as a Wisconsin Fish Fry and my seasonal favorite, pumpkin bread pudding!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch meal. The duck confit hash is amazing! And the raspberry mimosa so very delicious!
New fall menu additions. Fork’s delicious mashed potatoes are back!😁
Food was subpar and fairly pricey for this neighborhood. Service was excellent and the wine list was quite interesting. We would definitely be back for a drink, but not for the food.
The food was overall tasty, the staff was very helpful, but the noise level was loud. The one concern we had is that some of our drinks were served in glasses with chips and all the staff could do was so "It happens!' Would have appreciated a little more concern.
Outstanding, as always.
The scallop special dinner was 4 scallops. I left hungry.... totally disappointed for a $29 plate. Service was slow (restaurant was not packed), terrible value, Wine was meh, $5 for a lemonade that wound up with two fruit flies in it. Definitely will not return
As always, the choice and quality of food was good if not excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed the pretzels and a specialty flatbread with heirloom tomatoes. The latter was good, even though the tomatoes made for a somewhat soggy dish. There was a large delay between the appetizer and the main dish.
Not good value! Nothing worth returning. Would not recommend.
The pasta special was worthy of an Italian fine dining restaurant.
Our experience was all good. We dined outside at a table on sidewalk. Not too noisy or crowded. Inside might have been nicer but we really liked the opportunity to be outside. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Artichoke he was phenomenal! Great brunch! Super staff.
Our server was also the bartender and I hope she was a better bartender than she was a server.
Cheese boards with a great selection of choices, was dinner tonight.
Great atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. A great experience for the adults and kids. Definitely will go back and highly recommend.
Had the “melt in your mouth” salmon from the regular menu. Highly recommend.
A great ending to Labor Day; dinner at Fork.
We came for dinner to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. What a great meal. We enjoyed a delicious cheese plate (five yummy cheeses). I had the salmon with succotash for my entree. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I am not a big succotash fan (most have Lima beans and eggplant—neither shine in that dish. But Fork’s version had neither and was complimented with a savory corn broth. Amazing!! It complimented the salmon perfectly. My husband had the fish special. It was also delicious and perfectly cooked. We were surprised by our waiter, Adam, with a dessert for our anniversary—a flourless chocolate cake. Wow! So good. As always the service was great. Another great dinner at one of our favorite places. Thanks, Fork.
The vegetable gratin special was so good on Monday night, I came back for seconds on Tuesday!
The vegetable gratin special entree was outstanding
Great brunch! Vegetarian quiche was today’s excellent choice.
Sat at the bar and had excellent service. Manager suggested a pasta dish special that was awesome.
Great fun place. Perfect to sit outside on a nice night!
Artichoke panini - my new brunch favorite!
Daily special was white fish with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. Just came from San Fransisco, and this dinner was just as good if not better, and neighborhood priced. Ate so much, didn’t have room for dessert.
There is a real charm that fork exudes
The portions are a bit meager but very tasty
The people there are so friendly and professional
Really good vibe
Excellent service and food as always.
Highly recommend the artichoke panini at brunch.
Typically love it but there’s one server that just seems to not give two hoots getting a second cup of coffee was a battle mainly because she never came back.
I love Fork so I’ll keep going back and hope I dont get her
Outstanding bartender. Great pasta special. And delicious seasonal tart. Top rate management.
The pasta special was so excellent I ordered a second one to take home. Topped it off with the seasonal fruit tart for desert, my only regret is I didn’t order a second tart for home too.
Good food, good service.
We were a group of 8 having dinner after an early play at Windy City Playhouse. We sat outdoors because it was a beautiful summer evening. Our server was super helpful guiding us through shared plate options. Octopus and the duck poutine were table favorites. Highly recommend and it’s a good value, too!
Fresh corn ravioli special was phenomenal.
Gazpacho and cauliflower flatbread an excellent summer dinner!
My favorite brunch place in Chicago.
Food was good but it took me 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee over brunch. I made eye contact and hailed three different servers only to have them look straight through me/ignore me and walk by. There's room for improvement with operations if the servers are THAT busy.
We had excellent service but the food did not live up. While apps like the mussels and octopus were very good, the salmon with saffron dish-water was boring and the chicken was dry/over-cooked. Also, we just happened to have a shrieking child sitting next to us which is never conducive to a good meal (not restaurant's fault).
Great brunch menu with some regular and some unique items. Friendly and attentive waitstaff.
