I went here for my birthday and it was definitely not a great dining experience. The food was very bland and the quality did not match the price of the food at all. I ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and it had no flavor or seasoning. For my entree I got the new york strip and asked for it to be cooked medium. When I received my steak and cut into it, it was redish purple, not pink. My friend got the poke salad and said it was just okay. We both got drinks and they were just okay as well. My friend asked the waitress if they could possibly do any special type of shot to celebrate my birthday and she said they didn’t have the ingredients to make what my friend had asked for. That is understandable, but the waitress didn’t suggest anything that they could make for us, she just told us what they couldn’t make. We just said okay and moved on. Overall the service was decent, but I definitely would never return to this restaurant based off of the food alone.
Cedar plank Salmon is spectacular and so are those root vegetables.
Food was great. Service not so much. Mentioned it to the host stand, and a manager who was there. They basically were like, oh sorry to hear that, have a great day.
Father’s Day with a party of 6.. good flow of Tapas and drinks
The quality of food wasn’t as good as before and not enough staffing.
We love Founding Farmers in general but the server was not good. The host up front was very good at his job. He communicated with us and we got a table outside in a very comfortable location. Our server was pretty uninspired to work our table. I’m not sure what her other tables were like. She couldn’t explain the food and seem not to really care. After we placed our order, the appetizers came out, which were good but so did my side of vegetables. Why? I would think, this would come with the food. She didn’t even notice so I had cold veggies which I didn’t like. The entrees came out together and my husband loved his meal. I hated the jambalaya with spicy chicken. She didn’t ask about my meal, just asked if she could bring me a box. I clearly hadn’t eaten much of it. Did I mention, I had to go to the counter and look at my own dessert. She suggested I do this because it was later. The dessert counter person was cool. She told me to tell my server what I ordered so she could put it on the tab. Of course my server looked confused after I came back to the table and communicated this. She put the dessert on our ticket but looked annoyed she had to do such. Did I mention, I suggested dessert and was never asked if we wanted to order it.
Normally, Founding Farmers has the great service we expect but this experience fell short.
I like Founding Farmers, because I am a Southern Fried Chicken junky...I love good fried chicken. Founding Farmers has some of the best fried chicken anywhere. I usually go to the Tysons Corner restaurant, but it was booked. So I tried this new location at Reston Station. It was very busy but I was able to reserve a table and they seated us right up front as soon as we arrived. While they were very busy, service was great! Drinks were great and the food was great. I would highly recommend Founding Farmers to any serious foody and gourmand. and if I didn't mention it, try the Fried Chicken!

30 minutes I get a beer is a bit much
Prime rib says after 5p ... I was told after 5p on weekends only

Food was subpar. My cracker crusted shrimp were fishy and the coleslaw had absolutely zero flavor. My boyfriends meal was also underwhelming. Ambiance outside was great and service was good. Will probably stick with their other locations, which haven’t disappointed.

Food and drinks were awesome as usual and our server, Matt, was great. Super friendly, just the right amount of attentiveness, and quick to replace a cocktail when it didn't arrive as ordered. Always a fantastic time here!
It was our 2nd time there so we brought the whole family for an early Father’s Day (10 people) everyone loved the food. Crab cakes absolutely amazing. Very consistent, great staff. Thank You.
Shrimp dinner tasted “fishy” not fresh.
Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. We were underwhelmed by the lack of seasoning of multiple dishes and subpar service.
Food was good, only issue we had was with our waitress. It took her 10 minutes to greet us and didn’t really explain how the brunch worked. She was also rude when we had an issue with our tab.

We went for brunch which we didn't realize was buffet only. Not really buffet - the salads and some food were on a table - no sneezeguard, no measures of food safety or sanitation of any kind - it was in a small, ugly room with very sticky floors, (literally I could feel and hear multiple sticky spots) did not offer traditional bacon or eggs, no omelets, no eggs benedict, very poor choices of very average food. The "buffet room" was such an awful turn-off. Such a small room with no safety measure just out of full precautions for Covid. Didn't feel safe or inviting food-wise under any conditions. We had invited a young newly engaged couple who are very dear to us so that we could hear about the wedding plans and the server had no suggestions or ideas of how to help make it special or celebrate. I had only been here once before and I would never return and would not recommend it. I have since read reviews that suggest that I am not alone in this very unfavorable impression.

The food serving service consistently takes much longer than what should be the norm
We had a lovely time celebrating our daughter’s graduation. Yummy food and drinks! Will definitely visit, again!
Great service, convenient location, great selection of drinks and meals.
Food was excellent though came slowly - drinks and appetizer took very long. Primary waiter was very busy. Passed our table at least 3 times with empty iced tea glass sitting at edge of table. Had to ask him for a refill.
The staff was courteous and prompt. Kayla our server had the best personality and got everything perfect.
The outdoor area was spacious within a plaza surrounded by office buildings. The screen with beach videos across the plaza is a nice touch to the ambiance. The service at this time is a little shaky but they try hard to cover for each other. (It will probably get better as we get into summer.) Nevertheless their brunch food is the best. I enjoyed their vegetable scramble and especially their double espresso. They have many other wonderful selections for brunch too. Having ordered fir delivery many times I know that almost every thing they offer on their menu is great. Can’t say that about a lot of other places. I plan to return.
When ordering a cheeseburger the waiter should ask if you want catchup/mustard etc. before leaving the table for 10 minutes.
The food quality at FF is always top notch. Their wait staff seems a little inexperienced, but did an acceptable job. We always like going there and had a nice time.
Had two salads and a couple of cocktails. Bill without tip was $112.00. Wow! As soon as we sat down a waitress appeared and immediately launched into the specials of the day. We asked if we could relax a moment, perhaps get a cocktail. Got the cocktail abs immediately again launched into menu. We acquiesced and order two salads. Waitress came by a couple of times to check on us — great.
With noise level and waitress wearing mask, next to impossible to understand what she was saying. Had to ask three separate times for her to repeat herself. She was polite and did but it was frustrating.

Food was good and there a great selection on the menu. Service started ok but the server was less than attentive. Server tended to fly by we had to interject to get order in and had to remind them about a dish not arriving. Simple bread with cheese appetizer so looked like either they forgot until we reminded them or they just never put the order in. A little surprised as there usually have excellent service and they won’t very busy when we got there.
This was my first visit post-lockdown. I visited this location twice within the same week and both times had issues with food quality or errors coming out of the kitchen. My entree salad was missing the protein altogether upon delivery to the table. Altering my server, she disappeared and, 10 minutes later, a food runner arrived with a glass ramekin of what tasted like steamed shredded chicken. A pie dessert has barely room temperature and crust was a soggy disappointment. Second visit - my guest ordered an entree and the server immediately responded, "Are you 100% set on that choice? Our kitchen is not always successful it its preparation." My guest changed his order. I have always enjoyed dining at Founding Farmers and wonder if they are experiencing new challenges in the culinary areas.

There was an issue with one of the meals we ordered where we requested no cheese for one of the salads (no dairy). We discovered halfway through the meal that there was cheese in the salad which wasn’t great. We requested for a new one and was provided a new meal
FF has always been one of my favorite places to get brunch, since COVID I am not such a fan.
The brunch buffet is back in order but the overall selections were fair at best, the fried chicken was super dry which indicated it had been out awhile, and I was just generally disappointed with the menu and food selections and quality of the food this time. When you are paying a decent per plate charge, it should be fantastic every time.

We were celebrating my son’s graduation with brunch after the ceremony. The food was average at best and it was obvious that they were short staffed. Our drinks took over twenty minutes to arrive, and when we asked for a refill we were told by our server that they had “run out of glasses” so she gave us a to-go cup.
Not going back anytime soon.
Great brunch, food was fresh and flavorful. The two servers were excellent. Will definitely continue to come back.

Really good food and outdoor seating
The food was delicious although the spicy fried chicken was a bit dry. The service felt like they were new and in training, but tried very hard and were very nice and friendly. I suspect with everything reopening recently, there are new employees and they haven't quite established a momentum. We would definitely return!
I love Quam! Plain and simple! If Quam isn’t my waiter I’m not interested in dinning!
Food took a while to come out, like 20+ minutes and was cooler than the hot plates when it arrived. Some flavors were weird, like the breakfast sausage which was advertised as maple but had no hint of maple taste and just tasted of strange herbs, not really sage as you would expect with breakfast sausage.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food!
Our server was helpful and attentive. My salad came out with the wrong type of chicken, and he quickly resolved it. Food tasted great as always.
