I have had wonderful experiences in the past. Last night was not one of them. I made a reservation for 8:45 PM. I later made a change that to 9 PM. I noticed I had missed calls around 7:45 PM So I called the number back. I asked if they were confirming my reservation and they said “oh yes, we will see you tonight at 9 PM” there was no mention of the kitchen closing at 9 PM. My guest and I proceed to arrive at the restaurant at 9 PM and we are told that the kitchen is closed. The hostess also proceeds to tell me with an accusatory tone that “oh, you changed your reservation and we called you many times” yeah, and I called AFTER your 2 calls and AFTER the modification was made to confirm the reservation and you still confirmed, at 8pm, my reservation for 9pm!!!!!

Review based on BRUNCH during COVID restrictions Overall good experience. It was pretty busy and even with a reservation we had a short wait (~10 minutes) for them to get our table ready. We were seated on the patio (only option available when booking); our waiter was very helpful with moving around umbrellas and heat lamps to keep us comfortable. My only real complaint was that because it was buffet/cafeteria style (only option), by the time we stood in line to get food and made it back outside to our table, our food was cold. Maybe sitting as close to the door as possible would help? Otherwise the food tasted GREAT! I would recommend skipping brunch for now and doing lunch or dinner instead.
It was just okay. I did not like sitting outdoor, was a bit chilled and the food does not stay warm for very long.
Not enough breakfast choices on the brunch buffet....quite limited offferings compared to other breakfast/brunch buffets in the region.

Selection is poor. You have to pay for coffee now. For $30 per person, you think, they would include better items like they used to- gone downhill.
Dropped stars because liquor/cocktail prices are a bit high, my fault for not checking prices. Industry standard, blah blah blah.... $22 for a finger of Ardbeg 10? That's half the bottle. 16$ for a cocktail that was 90% crushed ice... no.
Food though... mm. yes. go for the food, drink at home.
Got a reservation last minute for their outside dining. It was the first time returning to actually dining at Founding Farmers (been ordering takeout and groceries from them). The outside seating is super peaceful and actually I think its much nicer than sitting inside. Also the new heat lamps they just ordered were clutch for the chilly fall even. Our waiter Richard was amazing. On top of his game, definitely happy to be working, and very attentive to our requests. A+++ service. Thanks Richard for a great evening!!!!

Outdoor heat lamps were not hooked up. Server was friendly but disappeared for long periods of time

We’ve never tried the buffet brunch at Founding Farmers — but today we’re glad we did. Deliciousness!
Service was slow, not sure why. We came at 10:15 am on a holiday, so the only option was the breakfast/brunch buffet. It was a little confusing whether we could help ourselves to a new plate for a second round. We were charged for coffee at $4.50 a cup, which was steep, in addition to a $30 buffet. Unfortunately although we had our parking garage ticket validated we exceeded the free 2nd hour by 10 minutes so were charged $3. A pretty expensive brunch I'd say. Food quality was okay, nothing to rave about. I feel like the service is not as prompt as it could be and that Founding Farmers has slacked a bit overall, resting on its reputation.

I didn’t like the brunch open buffet. It said on the website that you could choose the buffet or the menu but the buffet was the only option

Best breakfast buffet in Tysons Corner! The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing.
We had a reservation for an outdoor table. There were 6 of us and we were the last table at the perimeter of outdoor seating, which was perfect because we were loud! We went for brunch not realizing it would be buffet, but it turned out to be great- not just the buffet, but the extras from the kitchen that our server told us about... and trays of deviled eggs and delicious small desserts for the table to share... you really are just paying for drinks. We were there a for a good 3 hours and didn’t feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend!

worse service I have had in years, took forever to get drinks, food, never asked if we wanted anything else. Don't waste your time here

I ordered the cedar plank salmon with carrots and mashed potatoes. It was the best meal I’ve had in a long time!

Great brunch. Clean food and good social distancing.
I have been here before,but was disappointed in the slow replacement of food at the buffet tables. My party had to wait for French toast and crab dip to be restocked after making several trips to check if they were available. I never was able to get any salmon.
I thought some of the COVID protocols could be enhanced. We watched party after party go the wrong way into the buffet line. Also watched numerous people touch and grab plates from the waiter’s table. Perhaps having a staff member monitor the exit access and the nearby waiter’s table would solve the I’m problem.
Nothing special. Disappointing brunch for the price.

Great time for family birthday.. the team brought us a pretty cake stand to truly make the table look beautiful. And all the food was amazing.
We weren’t greeted for about 7 minutes.
The food stations were missing items from the menu.
The server did not communicate the off-menu items and we missed out on other breakfast dessert items, reminded after we got back to our phones.
Decent value, but overall mediocre at best.
