Follows the theme of seasonal Farm-to-Table with regional specialties. Food was carefully prepared and well presented but if you are looking for dynamic food with some flare this might not be your best choice. The menu offers a price range of entrees from $18 to $36 that lets the restaurant appeal to a cross section of diners. Great wine list but being all organic or biodynamic it was a little pricey. Very knowledgeable server with a relaxed bistro atmosphere. Hoping that he can last the torment of the 2020 Covid restaurant shutdowns.
Please do not rush your experience here — this food is meant to be tasted, savored, discussed, and then tasted again. Frank McClelland has created the most wonderful space here in Beverly and a true dining experience! As a long time fan of L’Espalier in Boston, it is such a joy to have Frank’s nearby. Comfortable, friendly, warm and inviting; the staff is superb and the food delicious. This is a menu that begs you to sit and stay a while. We took our time and appreciated the flavors and tastes in the food. We started off sharing a few appetizers: lamb meatballs, bacon nuts, the mussels with coconut curry, and bread with evergreen butter and sumac honey. We really wanted to try everything; it’s hard to choose. Then we ended up sharing the skirt steak with herb butter, too. Delicious! Wine menu is great here. I can’t wait to go back!
The food and service were superb! Price was a bit high but the food was so good we didn't mind too much.
The food was the best we have had around this area. Very creative and tasty!
Wonderful ambience; Impeccable service; Impressive Food; and Cocktails were out of this world. Highly recommend Frank for a date night or Girl’s Night Out!
Great birthday dinner ! Cauliflower Mac and cheese , lobster risotto, duck breast, rub eye and toffee dessert all fantastic! Nice to find a few bottles of wine under $40 - Dawn our server was outstanding !
We had a fantastic meal at Frank - delightful salads, we both had different steaks, and each was excellent - the rib eye is on my list of top 5 steaks ever. Get the Bacon Nuts - Wow! This is now on our list of regular places we cycle through.
The food was spectacular! We enjoyed every bite! The service was mediocre and took away from the overall experience.
The chairs were very uncomfortable and the food was just so-so. The size of the meal was not in line with the price. We enjoyed our time because of the people we were with. Luckily, our waiter, Jason, was wonderful. The four of us decided we would not return.
We loved Frank. Food was outstanding. I liked the vibe as well. The attention to the details of the food was evident and made the difference between good and excellent.
We will be back. I even bought frank mustard..
I don't think the food could have been better prepared. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were magical. Simply an outstanding meal, and it was just brunch! Even the cocktails were delicious.
Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and ready/willing to answer any questions no matter how long it took. I was also impressed how all the food arrived together. That's not always the case in restaurants where each individual (three of us) orders something different.
The restaurant is casual, but elegant and warm with a real friendly vibe that also says, we know what we're doing here. Overall just a great experience, and I'll certainly return for brunch again. I can't wait to get there for lunch and dinner.
Frank did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is incredible. The cocktails are also really well made. Worth the money and the wait of finally getting a reservation. My only criticism is that our waiter had a hard time serving us at our table and being behind the bar. We were in the bar area but we really should of had a server and not a bartender. One of my new favorites!
Food was very good, different options too choose from then what you would get elsewhere. A bit pricey for small portions. Service is excellent!
Another perfect meal at Frank. Two of us split delicious sweet potato agnolotti with porcini mushrooms in a garlic cream, followed by mouth watering ribeye over creamed spinach. Perfect wines selected by Alexi. And don’t skip dessert, always creative, unique and a wonderful finish.
Amazing service, wine, and food. Loved the atmosphere and overall experience. Excited to go back and for more date nights, girl's night, or a glass of wine at the bar. Fab.
Good food. Duck crisp. Skirt steak and salad plate, Lovely with a fab aioli .
We will be back!
Beautiful food and beautiful people
We had a wonderful evening which was made more special by running into old friends. Our server, Kate, was just perfect! The meal was great, although the serving of sticky toffee pudding was one-%eighth the size of one we had three weeks ago. We had a great meal and a lot of fun to boot! Thank you.
I was appalled to see into an open kitchen concept and not one employee had gloves on. I saw an employee touching ground meat and then right over to prep area touching lettuce. He never washed his hands in between For an upscale farm to table restaurant I think there needs to be some sanitary rules followed. Despite the food being pretty good and our bartender was great I will never return.
We had an amazing dinner, food was awesome, service was excellent, ambiance is great..everything about this restaurant is wonderful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go there frequently.
Easy to park in kiosk spaces at prime time. Great section of town. Restaurant is nicely appointed, open concept. Very nice bar area. Waiter was casual and professional (perfect). Food presentation was impressive. Quality and flavors were exceptional. Service was great all around, including bread and water servers.
Terrific menu with some creative dishes. Great service. Highly recommend.
Excellent in all respects . This was our second visit and we were as satisfied as we were the first time . Consistency is key and Frank's has displayed it . Will return !
Dinner was delicious. My only complaint is that the haddock was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Three people at the table had it. One of the portions was so small it was embarrassing
I was a first time diner. Love the farm to table concept.
Servers was helpful with suggestions. Everything ordered was fantastic.
Definitely go eat there. I will go again for sure!
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The service was excellent from beginning to end.
While meals were very flavorful, 2 in our party had ordered a Finnan Haddie dish supposedly including gnocchi. The servings were quite minimal and void of any evidence of the gnocchi. A passing manager overheard discussion of the disappointment and said he’d discuss it with the chef. While we had expected an enjoyable dinner with our our out of town friends they mentioned how rushed everything was, which we agreed was quite obvious. When the manager never returned, we opted out of coffee/dessert, and decided to call it a night at Frank. As we departed the manager approached and advised that in case we hadn’t noticed he had taken 10% off our bill ( not evident on the bill). He also explained that the gnocchi were so ‘delicate’ they had blended into the dish? Overall disappointing first and probably last visit.
Our waiter Justin was very accommodating and quick! The drinks and food came out quick. It was worth a night out with friends, but the prices for the value of food just isn't there. Probably won't go back!
Excellent. I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. The food was amazing, and the drink menu was super fun. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.
Atmosphere was fantastic. Felt like an airy restaurant in downtown Boston with a neighborhood feel. Service was great and our server Lindsay was happy to be there - engaging and fun, while understanding the wine inside and out! The food came out a bit fast for our liking, but beats the opposite, and we can’t wait to make it a regular spot for a last minute decision (if there’s room) or special occasions. Thanks to Frank and staff for a great Friday night!
Absolutely delicious meal and great service!
Delicious dinner. Service was prompt and friendly. Bringing a lot of life to Rantoul St. the cocktails were incredible. Highly recommend the bacon nuts and the sweet potato angliotti
Excellent food. Sensible portion sizes. Outstanding orange/chocolate dessert!
We were quite excited to finally try Frank. The restaurant and is beautiful but the service and food portions were just not fulfilling. The food was delicious but the portions were very small, we both left hungry after spending more than $50 per person. I see this concept as a great fit for Manhattan but in Beverly the potions should be generous so that customers come back multiple times.
We also felt that the cuisine was quite unique which was nice but it should be offset with some everyday casual fare so people can come for everyday dining not just special occasions. The service for us also wasn’t up to par with other restaurants in this category in the area such as Pellana, the waiter seemed very forgetful and was not as attentive as would be expected. We poured our own water all evening as an example.
We will probably try again but just won’t rush back.
Loved it. Wish there were just a couple more entree options. But loved it.
Daughter was visiting from NYC. A perfect venue to celebrate her birthday. She is a food writer in the city.
We pulled out all the stops and I let her do the ordering.
Was it an expensive night out ? Yes. But if we were in NYC, that Quality of food and a fun evening together, that we are still talking about, would be be a lot more expensive , not to mention more difficult to get a reservation. And the other great part is we can easily go back again.
Have gone back and bought some awesome wine, beer, potato chips and Franks Ice Ceam!!!!!
Franks is terrific but our waitress was very unhappy to be serving that night. When we asked her if we had done something to offend her she said no and was decidedly better after.
Also because our cocktails are late dinner came very fast.
Small potatoes over all. Love this place.
First time to Frank, heard good things about it so decided to have a Tuesday Night Out with the Wife and my kids.. The place is cool, had a good vibe. Katie our Server was great. Had a great Cheese plate to start but then I made the mistake of ordering a Steak. I say "Mistake" because to me a Steak is "The Meal". I've had Steaks all over and still give Pellana the #1 Rating with Capitol Grill a close 2nd. It was unfair of me to expect Frank to match up and I was right, menu said 14OZ Ribeye, I left 8OZ of it on the Plate because my jaw was sore from the first 5 Bites, that steak was chewy, it was way to thin, not flavorful at all and it was grizzly. About a 2 on a 1 - 10 Scale. So putting that aside, everything else my Family ordered was really good, the Carrot Cake Dessert was super Tasty. We got a Really great Bottle of Chianti for a very realistic Price! So we'll definitely go again, I just won't be ordering a steak... Our Server Katie was very nice, had a nice personality and made us feel welcomed.
Food and service were exceptional. Great addition to the North Shore
I went to Frank with a group right after they opened. While the food was good, the service was severely lacking. One of our friends got her dinner 20 minutes after the rest of us were served, and there were other issues.
But NOT this visit, I’m pleased to say! We were immediately and politely accommodated when we requested a quieter table, had a VERY pleasant and attentive waitress, and the food was terrific! An all around different experience.
