Fuego at Fenwick Newcastle
Set within the stunning Fenwick Food Hall, Fuego is a Mediterranean-inspired wine bar and restaurant. Here you can enjoy a light snack or full meal from a menu ranging from Mediterranean tapas and dishes to Fuego’s signature offering, Napoli style hand-stretched pizzas.
The name ‘Fuego’ was inspired by the feature wood stone oven, from which many of the restaurant’s dishes are delivered. As well as being influenced by this striking focal point the menu also draws inspiration from the Food Hall’s inherent focus on charcuterie, cheese and delicatessen.
Guests can expect to find an extensive drinks menu that includes a choice of 20 wines by the glass thanks to a state of the art wine preservation system, specialist craft beers from European artisan producers and chic aperitifs such as an Aperol Spritz or a Hugo.
Good food good service friendly atmosphere
Average food at above average prices, not possible to write more
I have eaten here a few times. Food - especially the calamari - and service are always excellent
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back.
The best tapas I’ve ever had. Definitely try the broccoli with dukha spice and amazing calamari. I’ll be back!
We had a birthday lunch here for two 23 year olds. It could not have been nicer. We’ve been to Fuego many times. It’s always good but this was great. We had a fabulous cake made by the In store bakery Mason & Rye and we were made a real fuss of. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fuego as a lovely place for a celebration.
Great food, good service, disappointed that one item of food on a regular menu was unavailable.
Fantastic food coupled with excellent service !
Food always really high standard and the service is first class
1st time dinner here took the last sitting 19.45. On Valentines day. could be the Best kept secret in Newcastle.
Excellent food. A good choice of food served quickly & pleasantly.
We were greeted upon arrival and show to our table we’d reserved online. We chose the St Valentine’s set menu and enjoyed a tasty selection of food, some of which we hadn’t tried before.
The food was delicious and all of the staff we encountered were friendly, warm and welcoming.
We’d be delighted to dine at Fuego again.
Really enjoyed our time and food at Fuego. Staff excellent and pleasant atmosphere.
Lovely place for lunch on Sunday. Food excellent, could have eaten more 🤔
Great service from the staff towards all customers. Helping people with young children which was lovely to see.
Couldn't believe how delicious the seafood pizza was. Laden with sea food. Absolutely delicious.
Always enjoy my visits to Fuego where there is a great mix of people of all ages.
Great food would definitely return . Seafood pizza was amazing
Service was amazing, the staff were more than helpful, overall excellent
We love it!
The food is delicious. And excellent selection for vegetarians too.
We have a ticket to town today and it never disappoints. The food is wonderful, the staff are wonderful, even the house wine is wonderful. Over praised? Perhaps, but it does deliver.
We had a lovely and most enjoyable lunch and despite the restaurant being very busy the service was still good. The waitress did manage to check that everything was fine and the six of us ate a wide variety of dishes and found no fault with any of them. A most enjoyable experience, thanks.
Pre Theatre meal. Friendly staff good food and great service.
Very welcoming staff food was really nice the pizza was wood fired and tasty
The food is excellent, service is excellent especially the manager who checks that everything is fine, she is friendly and professional and a great ambassador for Fuegos. We have visited many times and never had anything other than good service and good food.
I took my parents for a meal in the early evening, the food was really tasty, we had starters, mains and drinks. I can recommend the chickpea soup, and the mint spritz drink. Portions look quite small, but they are filling, we had plenty to eat. My parents hadn't been there before, and said they'd like to eat there again. The waitress was helpful, and attentive without being pushy.
Great atmosphere, great service, fantastic food what’s not to like
Lovely surroundings, nice food, good service and something for everyone. We took our 2 teenage kids and they both enjoyed it and me and their Dad enjoyed a glass of wine. Great experience.
Really nice food & wine selection - great place for lunch in between shopping !
Great food and service
Food and staff are excellent but it always taints the experience when you arrive at front reception and are not acknowledged by the man behind it!
Fortunately one of the girls came to the rescue.
Great food and service. Just what you want on Christmas Eve 👍🏼
Fabulous food and great service as always!
We will be back in the new year.
Pizza was a little cold and expensive for what it was.
Booked for 3 of us to meet up at a central location. We weren’t disappointed. Great service and great food.
We had booked in advance no no problem with being directed straight to a great table with very comfy seating and ample space. Very attentive staff with a good attitude.
Lovely food had the Xmas menu, good value as 3 courses for £22. This was a treat for my husband and I and we were very pleased with our choice.
It was a shame that our drinks came well after the food. Food was delicious, couldn't fault it.
A really relaxed and informal atmosphere with delicious, freshly cooked and authentic (mezze) food and great wines too.
It is always a pleasure to have lunch here.
Great food impressed our friends from Scotland
A really enjoyable experience. Good food, great service and a lively but relaxed atmosphere.
Always lovely food with polite service. More lactose- free food would be great (using fish!).
