Gemini

Three of us enjoyed Sunday morning brunch. Our reservation was at 10:30am, so the restaurant was not crowded. Our server was fantastic. Friendly, attentive (perhaps to a fault, as we wanted a bit slower pace), and a good guide through menu options. Bloody mary had great spice and a "realistic" garnish of pork belly and pickled carrot slice, which perfectly complemented the cocktail. Two of us had the lox platter and one had the chilaquiles. The food was very tasty. Overall, a great experience.
Hi
Everything was great. But the blond waitress acting like she didn’t want to be there. Did not smile, and was very short with her answers. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
Very vibrant scene. Good bar. Moved to table from bar easily. Wait staff seems a little thin. Food was excellent from the Gemini salad to main courses and dessert. I’d go back.
Delicious food, outstanding service, and amazing ambiance.
I had a very nice experience. The atmosphere and service was excellent and the food was delicious!
Always love Gemini!
It was a Tuesday night so it was quite but I’m sure when full the ambiance is a bit louder. Went for a Birthday and everything was amazing. Had the Trout and Branzino both were wonderful
The perfect place to have a nice dinner with friends. Our waiter was attentive, but not intrusive, and we managed to have a wonderful meal and cocktails. I had a veal chop, it was the special, and was prepared excellently. Overall, an excellent place
The layout of this restaurant is great for larger groups but it does tend to get quite loud. We ordered the mussels and the burgers. The burgers were excellent but the mussels, although many, were tiny! Honestly maybe the smallest mussels I’ve ever seen.
The last two meals I have had here have been superb. Corned beef and cabbage last St. Patricks Day and this visit what the call the swordfish chop. A fabulous thick bone in chop of swordfish from above the gill.
Great neighborhood go-to for a good, flavorful meal. Servers very helpful and professional. Current favorite is the burrata and prosciutto appetizer...
Always a fabulous experience
Thank you Rebecca, so nice to see you
Fantastic as always, I enjoyed the pulled pork eggs benedict and the bloody marys very much.
Great food, service & atmosphere.
Vegetable lasagna- amazing.
Fabulous food and service!
The food was great, and they offered us complementary champagne for our anniversary, which was very sweet!
The service was so much better than many restaurants that I’ve been in lately in Chicago proper. I think that many restaurants rest on their laurels especially when they’re part of a well known hospitality group. Gemini went beyond my expectations. When I asked my server about vegan options without making too much of a fuss, he right away assured me that the kitchen can make something to accommodate me so that I had more options than the appetizers and the sides. The risotto was tasty, flavorful and full of roasted veggies. Yummy!!!!!!!!! As we were leaving the restaurant, my friends and I talked about going back really soon.
We made reservations for 1pm on a sunday. While no one was waiting, there were also no tables available other than the one we were promptly seated at. There were seats available at the bar where one TV had the Bears game on. Looked like a good selection at the bar. A brunch menu was offered. Everyone said the food was good - I liked my burger - the fries were average. Not really a Gluten Free restaurant if you are looking for that. No GF bread or buns. Service was ok...not especially friendly. All our drinks had been needing refills long before the waitress returned to fill them. But food was brought out in a timely manner. I think the biggest drawback to our visit was how dirty the white shirt was that our waitress wore. Looked like it had been worn for a week and was filthy. Made me wonder how careful she was with our food, or what food was on her shirt that carried over to our plates. Was the kitchen as dirty? It really kind of grossed me out. With so many places to check out in Chicago, we probably won't be back for awhile, if at all.
Brunch burger is delicious! Classic tried and true Lincoln Park establishment—always great!
The service was phenomenal, our waiter was absolutely outstanding. He saw my order came out wrong and before I could say anything he immediately came over to rectify it. The food is really good, I had the lobster benedict and loved it. Their cinnamon buns and truffle fries were also yummy.
Service great. Food excellent. Added two more people to reservation late and were easily accommodated.
We had the best dinner here celebrating a birthday. All of the food was amazing and our server was incredible. This is a must visit for any special occasion.
Server was slow and unresponsive and actually left during the midst of our dinner. The lamb was undercooked and had to be taken back to the kitchen.
The chocolate mousse dessert was one of the best desserts I have had in a restaurant in months.
Good food, nice variety. Service was just so so. My guest ordered a second glass of wine. After a long wait our waitress brought a wine glass filled with water. It took several minutes to get the waitress to bring another glass. By then the meal was over.
The food was so very good . Can’t wait to visit Chicago again as I will definitely return .
I let the manager know when I left but the booth next to us ruined our entire experience. It was a half round booth that was so damn loud myself and family couldn’t even speak to one another. The group at the table next to us surrounded the booth(sitting and standing) which would be understandable at a sports bar but not at a dine in restaurant, food and server were great though.
Very nice vibe, in a hip neighborhood, food was great, but the service was a bit slow. Overall recommend!
The restaurant was extremely loud. Our waiter was not attentive. We said it was our anniversary and they did nothing for us.
Great food. Great service!
Loved the atmosphere! Great food- loves the chicken special!
Great place for a brunch. The bloody mary's were spicy and the eggs benedict was outstanding. Our waitress was very good at making suggestions!
We love Gemini! We live in the neighborhood and go several times a month. It’s really kid friendly but also a great cozy place for a date or even to watch a game at the bar. The staff and servers are always very knowledgeable, so accommodating and nice. Food is always delicious and the service is great. We’re so happy to have this neighborhood gem!
We went back to Gemini recently after having gone this summer and enjoyed it just as much the second time. The atmosphere is great on a Friday- busy, but not overcrowded. Cozy and perfect for a date or small group. The food is approachable and everything on the menu is something we wanted to try. The service is friendly and consistent but not overbearing. Highly recommend this place!
Love Gemini. I live in the neighborhood and it's my "go to place" .
Good food, great service but impossible to have a conversation because it's so noisy
I couldn’t decide which was better the food, service or ambiance. All three were incredible!
Fine food and drink, lots of kids
Love this place!
This is a top 3 restaurant in Chicago for me. The service is always incredibly attentive and kind. The seasonal menu is fresh, and their burger is to die for. If you love dirty martinis, they have one of the best. Classic Chicago restaurant. Cozy in the winter with a delightful patio for warm weather. If you're visiting Chicago and you're staying downtown, don't hesitate to book a reservation here! Gemini is a quick Uber away and back. Love, love, love.
