H2O: Seafood & Sushi
Amazing food & service. It was a great night out catching up with friends, and we were not rushed out.
The service was slow. Food took forever and was actually cold when I got it.
We love H2O for the freshest sushi and fish entrees.
We do think that the menu could change more - always the same except
for the special fish of the day.
Not too long ago we had meal for two called Paella which had lobster.
It was amazing and we keep hoping it will be back on the menu
This was the first time we tried their Sunday nite special. It was a strip steak and a 2lb lobster for two. We started the meal with a classic role. It was fine. Then they brought the main. The steak was cooked perfectly as were the asparagus and the mash potatoes. On another plate was the lobster with a arugula salad. It was very good although the lobster seemed small. The service was very good as were the popovers. It was a very good meal and we would do it again.
The food was incredible and our server was very knowledgeable of the menu.
Spaghetti squash bisque was delish. Sushi though should be eaten in a Japanese restaurant (wasn’t impressed). Very pricey!!!
Always exceptional food and service
My wife and I have been there numerous times and always have great service (and food) but this time our waiter Steven was exceptional!
Great food good prefix deal!
We were celebrating our brothers birthday and I made the reservation to ensure we would get a table knowing that H20 is a busy place. They stat us right near the kitchen. The noise just got worse from there. Drinks were expensive and watered down. I paid $15 for a martini made with Titos and fake blue cheese olives! Appetizers were just ok and didn’t get very far with five trying to share. I ordered the Hake fillet which wasn’t really a fillet, just some pieces of fish piled on a bed of soft, tasteless fingerling potatoes. No side, just an appetizer sized entree. Two people got the filet steak Wellington. It sat in a plate of gravy which made the pastry mushy. The second drink was worse than the first, a Moscow or maybe Long Island mule that had no vodka that either one of us could taste. Disappointed in the beer menu selection. Not updated since the summer. I.e. Montauk Summer and Blonde Ambition which neither were available. My cappuccino was lukewarm and the dessert was boring and unappealing. The banana split sundae was partially melted and my berries in a bowl were just ok with a pile of whipped cream globed on top. Not worth $600. with tip.
Noisy bar area but the food and service were good. Casual but chic dining with a decent menu. Would love to see a full sushi bar and felt the sushi selections were too limited. The drinks were delicious and the raw bar clams were great. Everyone enjoyed it very much.
Food was great donuts desert was horrible. But they were nice about taking it back.
Our favorite restaurant.
Went for restaurant week. Food was not up to its usual standards. Very disappointed
We were back as usual but my wife said an interesting thing when I made dinner reservations at a place in the city. She said that she would rather go to H2O. I agreed and went to H2O.
Service and food excellent as always. Great value with the restaurant week menu. Japanese cowboy roll is the best sushi ever!
Our waiter, Claudio, was outstanding - very helpful all around and explained every selection and the wine that went with it. He made our dinner even more enjoyable.
The restaurant was crowded and loud. We felt a little rushed by the staff. It was restaurant week, so we were understanding. My husband’s order of the mahi mahi entrée off the regular menu was dry and disappointing and the pumpkin pie on the price fixed menu tasted like it was bought in the freezer section of a grocery store.
Do not miss opportunities to dine here !
Wonderful as always! Food was delicious and the service great!!
The service was absolutely amazing. Our server, Stephen was so knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. The restaurant menu was so good and such a great deal with the wine pairing too. And it was so nice that both the host and the server recognized our anniversary! We had a great time and the food was delicious!
Service was great as usual
Menu is same. Food is same. Don’t make substitutions it allergic (on prefix menus).
Excellent service. The food was fabulous. Very happy with the entire experience. I would highly recommend it if
LI restaurant week. Very good
This food was spectacular and they went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration special.
It was our anniversary and we went to h2o for there lobster special . We had the lobster wontons which was a great appetizer. The 2 pound lobster was excellent. We also had a nice glass of Prosecco. It was a lovely dinner with great service. We will return soon.
H2 O 's food was fantastic and the four of us enjoyed each meal. Our service was excellent too.
Came here for a date nite with my wife. We Ordered Three appetizers and they were all amazing. The drinks and the popover bread on the table was also excellent. My wife has sushi and she said everything was fantastic, however I am not a big seafood person so I opted for fish and chips and I did not love it. But that was me trying to pick a safe option. Overall a excellent experience and definitely would be back.
Food was great but service was very slow.
My husband & I were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. My husband got the lobster special on Monday....it was delicious. I had the rock shrimp tempura which was also great! We had a great dinner & our waiter Steve was awesome. Can’t wait to go back!!
Very disappointed service was ok nothing special
Waiter was over extended on the amount of tables
he had came to the table 1 for order once with bill when I ask for coffee and desert
atmosphere was loud and noisy overpriced
Coffee came out cold no apologies
My wife got sick the next day not sure if it was the food (sushi) don’t want to make an accusation but will never go again
In order of experience:
1. Oh, nice, popovers for bread! ( that’s unique and they were yummy)
But, someone sugared the butter rather than salted it. Yikes.( The replacement was not soft like the original.)
2. The lobster roll-OMG! Very generous portion of lobster meat. The fries were amazing!
3. Dessert- Was a different preparation than in the past, which was disappointing. (Donuts and coffee) I fewas l it was perfect the way it was. Server said many people make this commmet.
Was too much gelato for the amount of donut. Remove the donut visual on website if not the way it’s served anymore.
The food was great. Our waiter Stephen was attentive and helped with wine and food choices. One of my favorite places to eat. The lobster was excellent as was the beef Wellington
I used to go to H2O every Friday up until about 6 years ago. I moved a little more north so it became more convenient to just go to Spiro’s or other places on 25A. My husband and I decided to go on date night this past Sat 10/19 and revisit what used to be our regular place. We made a late reservation for 9:45pm.
Our first impression, the place was as nice as I remember it especially after the renovations. As far as our dining experience, it was great from start to finish that I had every intention to submit a 5 star review with nothing but great comments. The waiter Nick was amazing and the food was amazing. We are foodies and have very high standards for food so for us to feel this way, the food had to have been outstanding. The drinks were good too and the waiter was accommodating that he tried to get us a drink we used to get there years ago which was never really on the menu. We asked for a coconut Caipirinha and the attempt was very close to the original. So we got the bill around 11:20 and we asked what time the bar closed. The waiter said midnight so my husband said that we would go to the bar for one more drink as 30 mins was enough time and to be honest, he just wanted to take a peak at the Yankees score. Lol
We get to the bar and I asked if she was same person who made our drink. I proceeded to tell her what an amazing job she did with the drink. She completely dismissed all the compliments and basically made it clear that she couldn’t careless.
We just got our drinks that now tasted like a gas tank and an attitude. After 5 minutes, my husband noticed that she stood there, staring at us, with a frown, her pocketbook over her shoulders waiting....
So he asked her politely if we were holding her up and she literally nodded and said yes. Omg! That’s terrible. Well my husband put his full drink down and we left. *updated my review* owner and manager both contacted me and showed that they care! Thank you management for a great example service recovery.
We had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere and food great. Our server, Nick, was fantastic! Had recommendations and input in all we ordered and was very personable.
we've eaten at H2O for YEARS....unfortunately we did not have a good experience from the start:
Popovers were burnt yet served to us, waiter served wine bottle by "neck" and never offered anyone to taste. The "special" fish was below par. Coffee was not served to all who requested. Paying bill was problematic for waiter.
Always delicious whatever we order and if course the to die for popovers!
This was my 2nd time to H20 and another great meal! 5 stars and we will be back soon!
