Local Jones is a bustling New American Restaurant and Neighborhood Bar in the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver. We were very happy that Local Jones was providing a Thanksgiving service, but it ultimately fell very flat. The thanksgiving menu was never posted in advance like many other restaurants had, which was fine, but then when we saw the actual menu options, it was fairly lackluster. The $16 appetizer sampler consisted of two shrimp, two deviled eggs, celery, carrots, pickles, and a small cheese ball (hardly worth the money.) In terms of entrees, there was no vegetarian substitute for the turkey dinner, and 4 out of the 6 entrees came out cold. The pie, while delicious, was $10/slice that came out in a small plastic container like you’d see at the grocery store. All-in-all, it was a disappointing meal for most of our party and the Thanksgiving specials felt thrown together and disorganized.

The food was very good. My only complaint was that the fries were barley warm and the slice of $10 pie was soooo small. The service was top notch for being Thanksgiving day especially.

Don’t sleep on this restaurant! The bartenders are a hoot and the chefs definitely know what their doing. For thanksgiving they had this dish that was designed around their staff’s favorite family thanksgiving appetizers. The story, inclusion and thoughtfulness of this dish was so special. Can’t wait to see what they do next

Lovely experience for a holiday meal. Great vibes, friendly staff, everything we ordered was wonderful! Crab dip was outstanding. Ciabatta with herbed butter was out of this world, simple and perfect. Had a delicious cider. Turkey dinner was next level, juicy, flavorful, all of their holiday faire was on point. Looking forward to going back soon!

Super cute atmosphere. Drinks and food were very expensive for what they were. We ordered the $28 charcuterie board and we were so disappointed. It had only a few items and was NOT worth what we paid. Entree and appetizer portions were very small and very expensive.

I'm not a huge fan of avocado toast but Local Jones Avocado Toast was the bomb- right kind of bread to toast, lots of smashed avocado along with sliced, thinly sliced red pepper that gave it a little kick, with some side greens- it was great. And the green juice? Pricey and not enough, but liquid gold- I wanted to drink a quart of it ;) Hey, you get what you pay for! xoxo Server was short-handed but was so professional and kind, it was all a great experience.

Absolutely amazing. We loved all of it here. From Eric our waiter, to the Bloody Mary’s, smash burger, donut holes, and the live DJ. This place has all the vibe plus the food to back it up. Get a reservation, sit back on the comfortable lounge setting and enjoy all of it. We were highly impressed and definitely would come over and over again.

We were very disappointed with our meal this time. 3 of the entrees lacked flavor and the 4th was a dairy free request that ended up being a piece of salmon thrown on a salad with additional crudite on the side. No hot veggies, potatoes or anything to make it a dinner. We love the ambience and service here but wasn’t up to par this time

I really wanted to like it more than I did. Our server was great and came back often but wasn't overbearing. They had a local bluegrass singer who was good but for the small space was a tad too loud. Loved the ambiance. Lots of velvet, rugs, and high ceilings. What let it down for me was the food. I'm not opposed to paying more for quality especially in Cherry Creek, but the food was just ok. I ordered the Bucatini with Chicken and everything needs salt and pepper. The best part of the meal was the ciabatta bread with tomato butter. Warm and yummy. Fix the food and I will be back!

I’ve been here twice now. Both times service has been extremely slow. Took over 15 minutes to take our order and 30 minutes to get a coffee.

Terrible experience- steak was ice cold returned and they brought another ice cold steak 20 mins later. Waited 15 mins for cocktails at table and burger was way over cooked when ordered medium rare. Will not return to Local Jones.

Very cool vibe. Food was good. Not great but it’s Denver…. Rare to find amazing food here. Server missed putting our order in but fixed it quickly and took some off the total. The wait staff was extremely good as they all chipped in everywhere. Won’t race to go back again as there are too many other places to try but it wasn’t disappointing.

The food was outstanding. It is on the expensive side but worth the money. Crusted salmon with farro and pickled cucumbers in yoghurt sauce is a combination I have never had and it was excellent! Top this with seasonal peach cinnamon pie that had just a hint of sweetness without all the added sugar that the desserts so often have and it made an excellent meal. Nice atmosphere, great service.

We wanted a good place for brunch on Sunday, and this was perfect. We both had vegetarian versions of the Denver omelette, with extra cheese. Omelette was good, greens were fresh and tasty. No toast came with it, surprisingly, for the price tag, but the service and setting were lovely, and the management was very kind when we asked to move to a shaded table outside. All in all, a very nice place. We will be back!

Cool atmosphere but felt like the food was overpriced. The beet hummus was the star of the show—soooo delicious but only 4 small pieces of pita and a few radishes come with it… for $15 you’d think they’d give you enough pita (which is extremely cheap to make) to eat all of the hummus. We also got the bucatini which was yummy, and the beef and dumplings. The beef and dumplings was such a let down—our dish had no dumplings in it. We had to ask our server if it was supposed to have dumplings, to which he replied “yes there’s a small pile under the beef”, which is funny first of all, considering it’s a $35 dish, and dumplings (like pita) are incredibly cheap to make… anyways, somehow our dish had no dumplings, so our server said he would check with the kitchen and bring us some. He brought us out a small plate of them, but by that point we had had our dish for 15 minutes and it was cold, so we didn’t eat much of it. We were there for her birthday, which our server knew about, so you’d think he would offer to take the dish off of our bill, but that didn’t happen. Anyways, I probably won’t be back as for the price, it didn’t live up to the expectations.

Music is wonderful, but it is never a good thing when you have to shout at your table companions. The music was far too loud. Our waitress completely abandoned our table of six. We never saw her again and we think the establishment was unhappy when we asked for the music to be turned down a notch. Restaurants need to decide if they want to provide a dining atmosphere or nightclub atmosphere, but I don’t think they can necessarily pull off being both, especially at 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday. This was my third visit to Local Jones and I was a bit embarrassed because I set this evening up for my five companions. My first two visits were much better.
