VERY SLOW. I had a 3:30 reservation I was seated at 3:40 and left at 4:13....
not one person approached our table after we were given water at 3:45. We weren’t acknowledged AT ALL.
I’m not sure what was going on if it was short staffed or what but it was a COMPLETE waste of time !!!!

Servers were very attentive and the food was really delicious and plentiful. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Even the restrooms were nice and clean.
they seated my boyfriend and I near the take out area. I had a reservation and still had to wait. also ended up leaving due to no waiter coming to us after 20 mins.
I had originally picked this spot to do the bottomless mimosas and meal. I called before making our reservation and was told outside area is covered (it was raining) and that the deal was available all day. When we arrived outside was wet so they sat us inside ok awesome, then we were told because it’s before 11am we can only order from two smaller menus (which didn’t have what we wanted from looking at the menu the night before) and we could add 18 to the cost of our food if we wanted bottomless. One of my friends had to order three different things and was told they couldn’t be made because they didn’t have all the ingredients. Once the food came two of us order pancakes and the waitress got irritated when we asked for syrup and instead of going to get it went to three other tables, had to ask the host. When our waitress came back to check on us we asked for a spoon she came back after walking straight to the kitchen and back told us she forgot the spoon. It took another 5 minutes to get a spoon. On top of bad service I don’t believe they are following Covid guidelines!! Condiments bottles placed on all tables and ours look like they hadn’t been wiped down in days!!! Dry ketchup was all over one bottle. Then when she brought the check in a vhs case it had a massive clump of hair in it. It took the manager 20 minutes or more to come see us after we requested to speak with him and before he came over the waitress and him stood at the bar pointing and talking about us! He apologized and said oh this isn’t who we are, when I brought up the hair he pulled it out of the VHS case and put it on the floor next to our table. He gave us 10% off and said he was sorry and asked us to come back. I would never return to this place!!! The service was horrible, they were not clean and the food was not even impressive! Find a better BOTTOMLESS place!!!!
We got seated at 10:20 pm and ordered drinks at 10:30 pm...we didn’t receive our drinks until 11:35 pm! Our waiter never came back to check on us after we ordered our drinks from her. Two other people that worked there came and checked in on us around 11:15. They proceeded to tell us that they were short staffed and our drinks that we ordered was no longer available. Why couldn’t our waiter come and tell us that?? Anyway, because of the horrible service, I probably will go somewhere else next time.

Made a reservation for their outdoor seating area across the street from the main restaurant. We checked in at the restaurant and were directed across the street to get seated — took us several minutes to be greeted by a staff member. Once we were seated, it took almost 40 minutes to get a drink. When we did get our drinks, the wrong drink was given to one of us (we specifically asked for Tito’s due to a gluten allergy in our party). We were comped the cost of one drink (which was nice of the staff) but it still took almost 40 more minutes to get our check, etc.
I booked this for my birthday dinner and well...
Still waiting for my money back. We sat there for an hour and only had a waiter ask for our drink order. Really felt like sitting in a parking lot next to loud traffic for an hour

I ordered the pinky and the brain. My food came out hard and cold. My chicken was extremely greasy I had to order another one (which I was charged for). There was no honey mustard. The waiter tried making some but it was a very strong mustard taste with oil at the bottom. When the check came it couldn’t be split and the waiter brought back the wrong amount in change TWICE! I’ve never had a unpleasant experience with them until now.

This is no longer my favorite brunch spot and I will not recommend this restaurant ever again.
When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted by the server who kindly explained they were running low on water and there was a 1-1.5 hour wait for food. We were ok waiting. I could tell by the state of the restaurant that they were slammed. Once it was past the time we were initially told, we inquired about our order. He kept saying that he didn't know the status and we had to coax him to find out any information. During this time we ordered 5 drinks (total) to pass time. We continued asking about the status of our order as it was well over 2 hours. We kept waiting because the server gave us some hope and told us our orders were up next. Nearing 3 hours, we asked the server for a manager as no food had arrived. We had to ask another server for the manager because no one came over for about 10 min. The manager arrived and wasn't aware of anything going on. We tried explaining our situation to her. She gave us an update that our food was queued to be made. We wanted to leave. She offered us 20% off the 5 drinks and said that she would take the food off (which we never received) as well. We were astonished that she was charging us for drinks we only ordered to wait out time. We mentioned to her that was an unacceptable offer and we needed to leave to get to our new restaurant reservation. She proceeds to say that she has to call law enforcement for people that don't want to pay their bill. I asked her for another manager and she said every manager there was in accordance with this response. Law enforcement arrived as we were leaving after we just said we'd pay the bill. We paid AND tipped.
HS Ownership - I truly hope Angel is not your example of top leadership. I also hope someone from HS ownership acknowledges our experience as it was gravely ignored by Angel. This is not the time for unnecessary police calls because a manager can't problem solve.
Hair in my food. 2 hour wait for my food. Food that never showed up. Host was extremely rude! If I consider going back it would only be for my waiter Jake. He tried his best but his team wasn’t very helpful. Staff definitely needs more training on customer service. My first time here and I’m very disappointed.
They seem to overbook themselves lacking appropriate service to better serve guests. I understand with covid they want to get people in but its not giving wait 30 min to be seated and waited on and we had a reservation.
I just came to dine at your restaurant last night and had THE WORST service I have ever received there. We were seated at an extremely wobbly table, and when asked to move we were told no by your host. So I asked the waiter who helped to accommodate us. After about 45 minutes we did not receive any drinks or food orders placed during our time. Out of the maybe 4 times we actually saw our waiter, he never came back with drinks. I’d also like to inquire about why your bar would be closed on a Saturday evening. This is something that should be communicated to guests upon arrival. I’ve dined at your establishment multiple times and had a great experience, especially with the help of Dominique. I’m not sure if she just wasn’t on the schedule but she is the best thing that happened to that restaurant. I don’t know what happened to this place but I am certainly not recommending it to anyone else based on last night.

I would not recommend this place to anybody. Our food was cold and we had made indoor reservations but they placed us outside because there weren't any tables.
Had problems getting the restaurant to honor the reservation for our anniversary dinner. No way to talk to a human and when we showed up they had us indoors. During a pandemic. Fail. Some neighboring party was making so much noise it still impacted our dinner. The food was good overall.

I put moderate cause my table was the loud table LOL, but the bubble outdoor seating is beautiful and so much fun. Food was BOMB y'all and so were the entree names.

I have frequented HalfSmoke many times, and I can honestly say… Do not reserve their igloo experience or agree to sit outdoors. The outdoors location is a block away. The heaters are malfunctioning. The service was horrible. Many patrons waited over an hour for their food. They didn’t have most of the items on the menu. The staff was running back-and-forth across the street to put in our orders, to bring us our food, and even to swipe our cards for the check. One of the worst dining experiences ever!

Server didn’t really payed attention to us .. food came like an hour later just for a small sandwich and some Brussels.
Had a reservation was seated on time. Took 15 minutes for a waiter to stop by. Took another 20 minutes to get drinks by the time the food arrived we’d been there an hour. Appetizer platter was missing food. Entree was wrong. Overall horrible experience we paid to sit in the domes which was nice but for what we paid for the dome and the food this experience was not worth it. To top it off I went to use the restroom and they were out of toilet paper. After waiting another 10 minutes someone brought some in. I picked the cleanest stall which is pictured. 🤢
Worst experience ever. Manager was completely disrespectful and it took 1.5 hours to receive our food.

I have gone to this place one time before and loved it so much. This time I was completely appalled. They were out of so many food and drink items. My favorite drink was not available. They did not have garnishes or every day food items. I understand it is covid and there is a shortage but advertise that ahead of time. I am so disappointed. I will be back to give it another chance. Because I believe this was an off night. I hope for a better visit next time.
I love half smoke that like a new food place to go
The restaurant was across the street from the seating area. The “igloo” bubbles were freezing and super thin so it just felt like you were eating outside.
The food was insanely overpriced and it tasted like freezer food. $18 for a plate worth no more than $10.
Our server was anything but sober. Asked for a box at the end of the meal to take food home and never was brought out.
I always wanted to try this place out after hearing so many good reviews , I went on a sunday afternoon at 1pm. Ok so it's not at full capacity due to limitations so i expected service to be a lot quicker than what it was. After being seated we were given water , after that they took our order quickly ok no problem. We were bought our mimosas they were very strong we liked that. We ordered our food and it didn't arrive until an hour later literally an hour wait for 3 mac and cheeses... we were really hungry. Disappointed with the wait , waiters weren't attentive they didn't bring us napkins or checked to see if we needed water we had to request water twice and they took 20min just to bring us water. Chicken and red velvet was what i had. It was pretty bad , the piece of chicken they gave was so small it look like something from the kids menu but it was $18 for a tiny piece of chicken and red batter. What a ripoff. They included 20% tip and were not worthy because service was just horrible. I've been for dinner before and it wasn't this bad. Never coming back taking my business to 801 or shaws much better than this place.
I went here for my partners birthday. We reserved a “special winer wonderland bubble”. The bubble had a tear along one of the zippers, had been taped up, what looked like many times, and was still open on the street side. We waited ten minutes outside to be seated, when we were sat down we were told it would be 35 minutes for food. We considered leaving but given we’d paid for the bubble and that it isn’t easy to just go somewhere else at the moment we stayed. It too 45 min to get a drink and over an hour and a half to get our food. When we asked the second time about our food we were told it would be comped. So we stayed. When the bill came they were only giving us 10% off our food. We had an unproductive discussion with someone “in management” where we were expected to bargain for our discount and told that because we accepted the food, when it came more than 90 minutes later, that we had to pay for it as the restaurant delivered on their promise. I will never go back. It was a terrible experience on what was supposed to be a special night.
I come here often but the service has gone down. We got charged for things that they ran out of, and our server kept disappearing.
The food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. We had to wait over three hours to get our food. There was something going on with the computer system but couldn’t servers/staff just manually right down orders?
I went for brunch for my birthday over the weekend. I had to wait over twenty minutes for my table although I made the reservation far in advance. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our appetizers and almost two for out entrees. On top of that the restaurant didn’t acknowledge my birthday even though I put that on the reservation. This restaurant definitely has the potential to be great but need to start with better service and food. I won’t be going back.

In 90 minutes we received 1 round of drinks, cold fries, and a couple of misprepared dishes. Apparently, the wifi was not working so the kitchen did not receive our orders, but we only found this out an hour after we arrived. Instead of coming over to apologize/see what could be done/etc our server opted to chat with other staff and pretend like 60 minute table times were appropriate. Most of what we did receive was comped, but the apology was lacking. Oh, and all of this happened right before close so we had no other options for dine-in food that night.

I'm sorry that your wait time was so long and your server was not as attentive as they should have been. I am happy, however, that some things were comped for you. Sat outside in the igloo tents due to COVID. It was raining and cold. Would’ve been nice for the heater to be on prior to us being seated. Otherwise it was great!
