Hogans Hotel Bistro
Great meal and vateted well for Lactose and Gluten free guest
Good food, good service good atmosphere, will definitely go again.
Staff are amazing, food is fantastic, never had a bad meal, Hogans is so cosy in winter when the open fire is going. Would highly recommend Hogans
We were very excited about the waffle chips being back and they were fabulous. Unfortunately the beef was extremely fatty making all 3 meals having high percentage inedible. A sauce would have been good. In two years of coming to Hogan’s, this was our first experience of a meal none of us enjoyed. I’m sure it was just a one off, but we wouldn’t order this again.
We had a nice meal, some meals are way overpriced others reasonable. Food I’d rate as ordinary to ok nothing extrordinary
The staff are lovely, but the food quality isn't up to scratch for the price. Ribs were mainly fat with very little meat on them, parma had oil dripping off it. Good ambience though.
Lovely staff, meals were too big, very wasteful. My fish was over cooked. The rest of the table were satisfied with their meal.
Found service & food to our liking but think there should be pizza's on the menu
Fast service, friendly staff and delicious meals 😋👍🏻
The seafood platter was definitely not worth the $48 price. The fish was dried out and the amount of seafood for the price minimal. The pork belly crackling was like leather and when asked by the waitress if we enjoyed the meal we told her this. Her response was, “oh that’s no good” and that was that.
Average roast. Dry cauliflower. Large almost bitter zucchini, not small or sweet. No glaze to moisten vegs. No carrot or pumpkin. Doubt beef was cooked on the day. Rather expensive wines at $9.50 per glass. Loud woman at bar - no need to shout! We're not all deaf. Perhaps the junkier food such as parmiagana on a mountain of chips is seen as better value. No smaller serve than 10 tiger prawns. Not sure if I'll go again.
It was very cold in the dining room Staff very good , food very good As previously The Wine is to expensive, they need to do promotions at $5-6 a glass $10 for a Rose in a pub Over the top
Booking online easy and instant Great service Food excellent Generous serves and came quickly.
Wine prices are a bit too expensive at Hogan’s It is a pub and prices should reflect this They are not top brands that are available
My partner and i have come quite a few times as the meals are generally great. This last time the meal was horrible (steak way over cooked and tasteless and veggies soggy and inedible) .... disappointing as we love this place normally and for the price we expect consistency
The food is fantastic, and the great service, thanks 😊
Two fishermans baskets and both of us ended up unwell. We spoke to the manager who offered us a free beer each.
My chips were partly cooked, some even frozen. Both of our fish had oil DRIPPING from the batter. Calamari rings were mush and tasteless. The prawns were watery and had no flavour besides watery oil.
The older lady behind the bar is quite rude. Everything is too much trouble. Being told to go into the actual restaurant to get red wine wasnt appreciated.
The young wait staff, however, were quite lovely.
For the price we paid I think it is overpriced and the food was actually disgusting. Very disappointing and I am afraid we will never be back!
Great half way from my home to son, will come again
It was our 1st time dining at Hogans. We were greeted warmly by Donna who was to be our server for the evening. She promptly changed our seating allocation away from a party group as there was just the 2 of us which was appreciated. We ordered the seafood platter & unfortunately it was overcooked for our liking & minimal choice of seafood with lots of chips with salad.
Had an amazing time at Hogan's,food was beautiful and service was prompt and friendly.couldnt really complain about anything.l also stayed the night at Hogan's in a standard King room, which was amazing ,loved it pub bistro has so much history and an old world charm.would recommend Hogan's to anyone
Loved the atmosphere and the ambiance. Food was great except for a little bit too much salt in my Chicken Scallopini. Would definitely come back again.
Very happy with the food and service.children enjoyed the free gave painting and kids room
Great food, price were fantastic for the food we got
Lunch for 10 for birthday celebration. Staff were outstanding, very accommodating and friendly. Meals were enjoyed by all who attended. Children's meals brought out first, adults meals were served promptly and were delicious. Highly recommend Hogan's !!
It was a Birthday dinner and we more than we had booked for and the staff were amazing and very accommodating!
*Good facilities for families with young children, eg. play room & baby change room.
*Vegan options on the Menu.
Went for Father's Day Lunch. Good sized meals. The service was fast & friendly. We ordered the Chicken Parma which was cooked to perfection & Garlic Prawns - no shortage of prawns on the plate :) The food was delishhh. Good amount of nuggets on the kids menu too. Play area is a decent size to accomodate alot of kids with seating for the "big kids" too ;) They'll definitely be seeing us again.. (Our new local)
Food to to long to come out and way over priced for what it is
Great steak & dessert ! Wonderful bar staff ! Comfortable & Cosy !
Very friendly welcome from staff - serview was wonderful and food very enjoyable - will definitely come back :)
Greeted by Staff member as soon as we arrived. Lots of tables and plenty of room between tables .Good selection of food. Thanks chefs the meals were delicious. Kids friendly with a huge play area. Bar staff were excellent. Tables were cleared promptly. Well worth the visit .
Even though it was really busy with a couple of birthday parties the service was still really good, the food was lovely and decent serves. Have no complaints only praise.
Nice cosy place with a welcoming ambience. Fireplace was very much appreciated as well!
Great for children with the indoor play area. Not enough variety with food, would have liked to see more vegan food plus pizza's on the menu.
One daughters meal was over cooked asked for steak to be nearly blue was medium , other daughter ordered Prawns they were like rubber , unless near an Ocean Hotel don't order seafood obviously not freshly ordered , had to return Prawns & re-order something else .
Quite expensively priced for a local town pub eaten many hotels prices no where near these prices . Some meals were quite reasonably priced . Thought drinks were expensive pot of BItters Lime Lemonade $8.50 !
Amazing steak . However, need to add more greens into the vegetables being served .
I made a booking and was unfortunately seated directly in front of the open fire, which was way too hot. I asked to move and was told , there was no available tables. I questioned this, as we noticed there were plenty free. I needed reconfirmation, so I asked again “Are you totally sure all of these tables are booked?” Suddenly there was a vacant table. New chairs would be great !
My daughter had order a wagu steak and a side order of chips,I thought that it was over priced. The meal was of poor quality as it had too much gristle and fat and also the main courses come out at the some time as the entrees. I was very disappointed as we had travelled from Hampton Park, which I will not be doing again.
Been to Hogan's many times and find the staff always pretty friendly although kids can drive you crazy but to be expected given they are a family friendly bistro with terrific kids entertainment zone. Food is standard pub fare which is always nice and plentiful. Food service is always nice and quick.
My first time in the establishment, staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was exceptional and I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family
Had a lovely dinner. Great service quick and polite. Only downside was the dessert. Had vanilla panacotta and the “berry compot” was so thick was very unpleasant to eat. Sadly dessert ruined to night when it’s suppose to be the highlight! Was a shame to pay $11 for it and only have a 1/3 edible.
when we first sat down it was very cold, however I think the air-conditioning was turned down as it became better. The drinks are REALLY expensive $24 dollars for two small glasses of house white and one pot of tap beer. The food is really nice however also on the expensive side, certainly not a regular option for a night out if you have kids.
