I’ve been to the Lakeview location many times, and this was my first time at the Andersonville location. I find the staff in Lakeview to be far more warm and welcoming than what I was greeted with today in Andersonville. Food was still good, but definitely disappointing to not get the same level of warmth as I’m used to from the staff.
We went for our anniversary dinner (little more low key than usual since we went on vacation the week before). We enjoyed the food a lot but it took a long time to come out. We ordered a starter but it didn’t come out until the same time our entrees did and the starter was a little cooler than it should’ve been. Taste wise though, it was delicious! One of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had and my boyfriend loved the steak burger! Excellent value.
Lovely. Food was great. It was a very quiet dinner so we had quick service. The cocktails were very good.
The food was excellent as was our waiter. The main downfall was waiting 40 mins after the reservation we had to be seated.
Meh. nothing exciting, nothing novel. just meh. I go out to a restaurant to find something better or more interesting than a hospital cafeteria. didn't happen here.
Please, lets have a conversation on your experience I would be interested in knowing what was ordered. John at HUTCH Andersonville
I love the Hutch brand and its food. But had the avocado toast and it was super bland and dry. The Sriracha chicken had no flavor and was super dry. Avocado toast is hit or miss so guess this one is a miss. Everything else was good! Service, drinks and ambiance. And my man loved his chorizo Benedict!
AWFUL is all you need to know.
I dined there on Sat the 19th with a group of friends. Our server was very pleasant, but could have been more attentive. We had to get up to get more water for our table. I ordered the beef brisket and it was dry and hard. It came with a very good horseradish sauce and I was never able to get her attention to get more.
I got up and went to the restroom in the hallway and the room I went in had no toilet paper. I went out and told the host who disappeared into another doorway and I waited for him. He came out without toilet paper and told me it was not his problem or responsibility, that the bar next door took care of the restrooms. I asked if there were others and he said no, that was it. So he told the busy bartender on the other side and the 2nd restroom became available which did have paper. Both toilets were not flushed and it took an engineering degree to figure out the correct way to wave your hand. Don't think I will rush back there
Sorry for your experience that evening, I remember you fondly. I would have loved to hear more about the brisket that evening it would have been my pleasure to replace it with a more pallet-able one. Please note there are additional bathrooms in that door I disappeared away in, downstairs. It is posted clearly on that door. Our new fall menu is out, I'm sure there is something you would enjoy, contact me here at HUTCH my name is John, I am the store manager.
Everything was great besides the lights that kept becoming bright and then flickering to a dimmer level. Seemed as if there was an electrical issue. Didn’t ruin our experience, but was slightly annoying.
Nice people. They have a very nice happy hour also with nice wines and bar foods at a great price. I ordered the avocado chicken pizza because it was something I have never had. It was one of the best pizzas ever!!! Also the fish tacos are very good. Has them there before. All in all an enjoyable evening with good food and friendly atmosphere.
Great space and brunch menu! I was there for a work meeting, although plan to return on a weekend with family and friends.
Clay was quite the server! Super cute and pleasant! Very attentive! The cheesy potatoes were way better than the other locations! Also Tasha the hostess was very kind and accommodating! It's totally visit this place again before the other brunch places in Andersonville!
Food and service was amazing! We were really impressed. The only complaint was that the noise level was pretty high at Sunday brunch so not a great place for those who have trouble hearing.
Cocktails were good. Service was friendly. Food just wasn’t good. Shishito peppers were huge and over cooked. Pizza was terrible. Really disappointing meal.
Nice outdoor seating when not crowded. Good coktails / beer menu. Excellent variety of food types for brunch. Very good service.
Despite my 3-star review for this experience, I'd still give Hutch in Andersonville a recommendation to friends. On this particular occasion two things really steered my review towards less than 4 stars. 1) The time for our service was terrible. Our waitress was quickly attentive and took our drink orders and then food orders when we received our drinks about 5 minutes later. Excellent timing! Then it took 45+ minutes to receive our food. We watched as table after table around us received food with many of them having ordered after us. It was disappointing to say the least. 2) The breakfast pizza my girlfriend ordered was very unappealing. She found it to be far too thick with a load of bread with potatoes on top as well. The cheese was crusted on around the bacon. I enjoyed my breakfast grilled cheese and my friend enjoyed his meal though.
On other trips, I've had way better luck with Hutch for both food and service, so I still give it a nod as a great breakfast spot, but this time was a bit lackluster.
Good brunch food selection and quality. Drinks were nice though no bottomless mimosa option like many other area establishments. Cool ambience and decor. Only downside was the very slow service which may have been due to it being a holiday and busy.
The food was lousey and way overpriced for the quality
I'd recommend for drinks- the mimosa deal was excellent as was the atmosphere! The food was not very good. I got the Traditional Breakfast and was still hungry after. Such a small portion of eggs. The cheesy potato casserole was very bland and too potato-tasting. I had the same meal at the River North location twice and it was fantastic there. My friend had the eggs benedict sandwich and was underwhelmed as well. Your deals every day however, and mimosas, will keep me coming back!
Drinks and food was okay. Wouldn’t go back for brunch.
Food and service were average. There are much better places to eat in Andersonville.
The food was wonderful. Great place for a grabbing a drink after work, catching up with friends, and is kid-friendly. Located in Andersonville. Rustic, dim light look. Big windows, making the place look huge. Staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable on the food and drinks at the restaurant.
I love this place. We had friends visiting for Market Days and we were excited to bring them to our neighborhood Hutch! You did not disappoint. We keep coming back and love to bring new friends.
Thanks! We enjoy having new friends indulging in food and libations, and we look forward to seeing you again!
The drinks were good, however it took over 30 minutes to get a burger and a brisket sandwich and they weren’t busy
Yes, this is the second time. Its always amazing and friendly customer service. Great place to sit, relax and enjoy a chat with a friend or friends. Even the bartender was amazing, he, always followed up with us. Will say they go above and beyond in making you feel comfortable, wether sitting inside or outside. Also clean.
First time there, super friendly staff, nice location. We ate inside, and sound just the right amount of chatter. The food was excellent. The Poke bowl appetizer is delicious. The entree, I did ribs, the meat was so tender it feel off the bone. My friends had the fish tacos and steak au poive - plates were empty. I will definately be back. I'd like to do brunch there next. An endless mimosa sounds really perfect.
The waiter was outstanding. Attentive and personable. The food was fine but not that noteworthy.
I always have a great time at Hutch. The staff is always very friendly and understanding. The food is great and the drinks are priced well.
Would recommend, but would warn that some dishes may lack menu-described ingredients, so have a back-up option ready. Came for Saturday brunch and sat outside. In regard to the menu options I had to go with my third choice as multiple ingredients were not available in the kitchen. Otherwise the food that was served was good. The server, Clay, was at all times friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the host/manager that opened the restaurant was surly/sarcastic. Another party ahead of us upon opening were appalled at his behavior. It appeared he either had a previous bad night and really didn't want to be at work that morning. Customers shouldn't have to suffer because of that. I've been to the Hutch on Clark, and glad to see that they are doing well to open this location, but there should be a consistency in service/food to maintain a following.
Went for brunch after the ceremony part of my wedding. The service was a little slow because of two other large parties but Susan kept things light and was super friendly and efficient. Props to her for working hard to keep everyone happy.
Congratulations and thank you for including us in your special day.
We had a group of 9 and several arrived a bit later than our reservation so it was on us too but they got really busy and service really slowed down. The bartender and Shawn our server were lovely and the food was great! Totally coming back!
Thanks for Coming in, your patience was greatly appreciated! I remember you all well. I hope you had a lovely evening at your show, and thank you for your kind review. ~ John Mendez
The food was interesting and delicious. The server was friendly and fun. The ambiance was perfect. It wasn’t too busy or too loud. A perfect brunch.
Restaurant not full, but hard to hear/poor acoustics
Appetizer not delivered to us pre-entree, was actually given to another table.
They would have known if they ever checked in on us.
Gave us the appetizer later with our entrees, and comped the cost, but we would have rather paid and had it pre-dinner.
Food was phenomenal! Service was fast and friendly. They have an outdoor patio but it was raining when we were there so we sat inside. Kid friendly.
Really nice staff and very helpful. They put in a lot of extra effort to ensure that we had a nice time.
Over half of our group’s food was served cold, but the service was so slow that it wasn’t worth sending it back. Restaurant was half full. Portion sizes for brunch were smallish so we asked for some additional sides, those took forever to come out and were also somehow served cold. Server was friendly but unfortunately it was not a good experience.
First of all, I need to start this review with I’m TOTALLY biased when it comes to this place. Hutch, in Andersonville, is my GO TO brunch spot. The service is always incredible and the food is always on point. This particular day the staff went out of their way to accommodate my dining experience. The weather was dicey but the forecast said there wouldn’t be rain until 2pm so my friend and I went for brunch at 11:30am and brought my dog along because they have a great dog-friendly patio. Of course Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with us and it started to rain while we were sitting outside. The manager grabbed a server and they moved the sun umbrellas over our table. Believe it or not, this worked PERFECTLY! My friend and I stayed perfect rly dry and comfortable and my pup was happy too. Some of the other servers and hostess braved the rain to check on us and play with my dog. I love that they change their menu seasonally so there’s always something new to try but they always keep the “go-to’s” if you’re not feeling adventurous. I’m not sure if the team at Hutch will see this review but in case they do, I wanted to do thank you for being you. You guys are awesome!
We were there early (5:30) and it was super quiet. The staff in particular our server, were terrific. Good recommendations for appetizers, drinks and dinner. I had steak and fries and the steak melted in my mouth. It is not a glitzy place, but comfortable and a good choice for meeting friends.
Our experience here was excellent! Great service, food came out fresh and quick. Great place for brunch with friends, family and is still kid friendly! Cute outdoor seating, indoor table seating and a breakfast bar. Best part is they take reservations!
For the price point, the food wasn’t that special. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly had no factors that made it unique. We got fish tacos and the hamburger. You can get better fish tacos from at least 3 other surrounding restaurants, and same with the burger. The French fries also tasted like the oil they were fried in was more suited for donuts, as the French fries tasted more like a donut than a potato product.
The wine was good. The service was on top of it. Just the food needs some help.
