Loved this place, the setting and atmosphere was really nice. Was looked after friendly staff Charlotte and Irene who were very helpful and friendly. Will defo come back again
Always love Iberica but the service wasn’t as good as normal. Quite a big wait between receiving our first dishes and the last two (the waiter had to come ask if we were still waiting for anything as they’d obviously been forgotten). Put us off ordering any dessert which was a shame.
We went to Iberica on the 50% offer for January. The menu was very small, and sections of the menu weren't part of the offer which was annoying. The only thing you could really have as a main is Paella - but they said they had no paella!! We ordered different tapas at £13.00 a dish and they were very small - you will end up spending a fortune because there are no real main dishes and I went home hungry because I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount.
Lovely atmosphere, great food and prompt food service. However, drink refills were not offered. 50% January food offer made it more affordable. Will visit again
The ambiance and decor were incredible. However, the waiters kept asking us if we have ordered any more food, in which case we were waiting for 2 more dishes still. We were asked if we wanted to look at the dessert menu, in which case we said yes however we were forgotten about. So we had to remind the waiter. We asked for tap water, again we were forgotten about and had to remind the waiter. The service was shocking, especially with the amount of money we spent that evening. It’s a shame and I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend.
Very professional staff and delicious food! High recommended
So-so, pretty underwhelming. Service is very inattentive, didn’t have drinks for the second half of the meal. Near impossible to catch staffs attention. Dishes come out very slowly and only one at a time, so doesn’t really feel like tapas. Dishes were fine, but nothing special. Was asked how we wanted both the pork and lamb cooked - med/rare - both arrived well done but didn’t bother saying anything given service and speed. Second time at Ibérica, ordered bread and oil on both occasions and have never received it either time, although it does make an appearance on the bill each time! Nice venue, but unfortunately we were sat at the end nearest the kitchen with a draught coming from the cellar so spent the meal with my coat on! Probably won’t bother again.
Beautiful building! The food and service were also great
Loved the menu and the surrounding.had a lovely Spanish waitress Irene.
Superb girls night out. Beautiful food and super service. We tried the steak, peppers, chorizo on toast, cheese and meat board. Everything was really tasty and beautifully presented. Tasty and affordable house wine.
The restaurant as a venue was very nice. We went during the January 50% off and I feel if we visited when this offer was not on I’d be very disappointed paying double what we did for the meal. The food was not a great standard and the service was slow. The table next to us had their food come one at a time and seemed to wait an age, whereas ours came through all very quickly. It’s a shame however I wouldn’t recommend visiting to others and I doubt I’ll come again. The only way I can summarise is over priced and under delivered.
We enjoyed our tapas on our recent visit & felt it was well cooked and presented. However, we felt that, since our last visit, the menu has become quite restricted with some favourites missing completely (albondigas) and some “padded out” (chorizo in a bread crust: negligible amount of chorizo). We took advantage of a 50% off food offer and would have felt disappointed had we paid full price for what we had. This is a shame because we have fond memories of meals and experiences here.
Fantastic January deal of 50% off was the attraction and the carrot to try this well reputed restaurant. The quality of the food was excellent and really interesting, Hare; Partridge; Squid with Squid ink to name but a few. Unfortunately the Hake was off. Portions are reasonable but the recommendation of 2 or 3 per person may not satisfy all tastes. The dessert recommendation was poor, orange segments in cream at £8 was more than steep. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it but on full price it would have been a hefty bill for a Thursday night tea.
A fantastic meal and a great offer for 50% off food in January! I love going here - the food is delicious, the staff attentive and the decor sumptuous but not intimidating. Took someone for their first visit and they were v impressed!
Also first time I have taken a child and they were brilliantly set up for it!
Really nice tapas in a beautiful setting. The staff are great and we even benefited from a special January offer. Highly recommended.
We visited Iberica for my partners 50th birthday on Saturday 12th January after recommendation from colleagues.
We had arrived early so decided to have a drink before going to our table. The only seats available were two child size seats by the window, at the side of us was a heater which didn’t work properly and it was extremely hot an uncomfortable.
We went to our table and our drinks order was taken, 10 minutes later we still hadn’t had a food menus so we had to ask for them. Upon ordering we had a few questions about some of the items but the waiter wasn’t able to answer, so we had to pick alternative dishes.
Our food came and all our dishes were delicious, plates were moved fairly quickly and food was brought at a steady pace.
Once we had finished we asked for the bill which cane quite quickly, but then it took a further 20 minutes for someone to take our payment after we had prompted the staff.
As I’m 6 months pregnant we didn’t want to go to far for a drink or somewhere to busy, so we decided to have another drink at the bar we had previously been to at the front of the building. As there were no seats we sat on some stools at the bar, the bartender said you can sit there you need to move I need some where to put my drinks. I explained there was nowhere else to sit, and he said maybe but you can’t sit at the bar I need the space maybe you should stand? The man was so rude we decided to leave, we went to the bar in Dekota where we were treated much better.
My partner and I haven been out much since I became pregnant and we were looking forward to a lovely evening celebrating a special occasion, I have to say after spending almost £120 for two people for not much food and a few soft drinks we was very disappointed.
This was our second visit however Saturday night is not the night to go. We felt completely rushed even after asking the waiter if they could slow down. The table was booked for 1.5 hours but the majority of our food was probably served within 30 minutes. Having spent more than £100 I thought they would at least have given us a little more time to enjoy each dish. I also felt £12 for a G&T was a little steep as was the 12.5% service charge. Sorry but won’t be returning in a rush.
Brilliant food, good wine and great service, quick and easy
Great welcome for a birthday booking - spacious table and complimentary cava. Inventive tapas - outstanding "traditional" croquetas. Attentive service in magnificent surroundings.
Enjoyed the January half price deal.... great venue and helpful staff. I love tapas ...glad I didn't pay full price... chicken was overcooked, chorizo a bit bland, lamb was good peppers ok...
Lovely venue but not sure I would be happy paying full price
Food was of sub standard in taste
Average at best and we as a family did not have an overall food experience that I would makes return
A beautiful restaurant, great ambiance. The food was fantastic. Will most definitely return.
Good meal but I have had better ones there in past
I would recommend for a special occasion or a treat. It's very expensive but the food and atmosphere were amazing!
It was really quiet yet we sat for 10 minutes before we were given a menu or asked if we wanted any drinks.
We only came to Iberica for the 50% off that we we’re lead to believe was available from reading the ‘Leeds list’ article. When we questioned the full price bill with the manager he pointed us to the availability section on the open table website which stated it wasn’t on a Friday and Saturday. This was in small print at the bottom of the booking section. Nobody would notice this. No apology was given or good will gestures, instead we were told “it’s one of those things”.
It was a very expensive meal for poor service and lack of atmosphere. We wouldn’t have bothered if we knew it was going to be full price.
Fabulous experience in fine surroundings, excellent food and good service cost of drinks may well be at the upper level bracket, but when we left we said we should let our friends know about the restaurant
Incredible building, full of historical interest. Good to see the owners have kept these historical features as part of decor. Excellent food and excellent service. Not the cheapest tapas but certainly the tastiest!
Best Tapas we had all had in a long time. Higher priced however this was matched with the quality of food, service and atmosphere.
Food too salty and overpriced. Service was brilliant, with hardly any wait for the food to arrive as well as the building itself being fabulous. However, the food let it down tremendously
Good food and service. Would recommend and would definitely go again
We visited for lunch, it is a lovely place. Beautiful decor. Attentive staff and not too busy.
Food menu was adequate, with a few new dishes we hadn't tried before.
Pricing was high. £12 for a tapas dish I feel is excessive. £12 for a G&T, £3.95 for a still water the £15 service charge added to the bill for a lunch table of 2 was the tipping point for us. I would not return.
Food was amazing.
Great service- very attentive especially as we had people with allergies at the table.
Fantastic food and very attentive staff. The decor in the restaurant is very old colonial 20’s style and is very different compared to the modern style restaurants you have now a days.
Food is presented elegantly and there’s a plethora to choose from
Well worth a visit. Friendly, welcoming and great food/service as well.
It was a great experience as we attended the restaurant for a friends birthday. All staff very kind and friendly.
Excellent food in a beautiful building - first visit but won’t be the last!
Loved the building and the feel of the restaurant.
Felt we were a bit neglected when we told to sit at the bar and have a drink. We had to ask for menus and remind someone that we had a table booked. No once explained the menu which was a bit hard to follow as we asked our waiter a few questions which he struggled with as his English wasn’t great.
Once the food arrived though it was amazing and we enjoyed every bit !
The restaurant plus lovely as was the food but it was cold in the restaurant. We had to sit in our coats!
Service was terrible - had to ask to order food, drinks, for the bill and to pay the bill!
Service charge was not deserved!
Had to ask to be seated at table after drink at bar. Drinks ordered did not arrived but were charged. Water and wine ordered I had to remind staff for. Ordered the pork medium to well it was raw. The waiter that finally gave us some service did all he could to improve it, I commend him, but too many things were just wrong.
