Was pleasantly surprised by this casual restaurant. Nice ambiance, and very prettily decorated for Christmas when we were there with our daughter ( who was flying out to Chile the next day). We shared a bottle of wine, and had a beet & lenil salad, and bacon- butternut squash pizza which we split. Although it all tasted great, wish there were actual beet slices to offset so many lentils - instead of just some beet puree. The pizza was excellent. My husband’s roast chicken was moist and tasty- done to perfection.
We enjoyed our dinner. Prices were modest too.
I would recommend this place!!
Thank you for your review and feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us.
Great food and ambiance.
Thanks for your review, so glad you enjoyed it!
Food was mediocre at best. We sent back the clam pizza as it tasted off. Cotes de Rhône wine was listed as 2016 on the menu. Wine served was 2017 without an explanation until we asked. Will not good back for the food despite lovely setting. Not worth it.
We appreciate your review and feedback. We'll be sure to speak to the Chef and thank you for the note about the wine.
My family and I came for brunch. It was very loud which made conversation quite difficult. We were also quite smushed in the space. The food was average and I felt like I could have made the same exact meal at home. There are much better places to have brunch in the city.
Thanks for your review, Flo. We're sorry that you had a disappointing experience.
I had a reservation at 845 and we ordered pizza and garlic bread to start which were both good. Then we ordered our main course- I got the lasagna which was okay. We ordered a second round of drinks around 945 when the waiter came over to tell us that they were doing last call. They were closing at 10PM so we either had to chug the drinks we just got or get them to go. Closing at 10pm on a Friday night is so early for nyc!
Thanks for your review, Jay. Your feedback is very much appreciated!
As the restaurant is on the water, it is cold. We experienced a party of 6 that was very loud. Food was just ok. Service was good.
Kathy, we're sorry that you didn't have a 5 star experience. We appreciate the feedback and we're glad that the service was good.
Food was a little saltier this time, but all in all, this is one of our go-to's.
Thank you for your feedback, we'll be sure to let the Chef know.
Bachelorette lunch, service was great, even got a complimentary champagne 😊
Thanks for your review, always happy to accommodate!
The Flaming Plum Tartan is unbelievable. The service is great and best views of Brooklyn on the east River.
Thanks for your review - happy to hear you had great experience!
Service was great. Good delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
Annie, thanks for your review. Looking forward to seeing you again!
Service, view, and food were all exceptional. My new favorite place.
Thanks for your review, so glad you liked it!
Great view. Staff was very nice and helpful. My guest loved his pizza.
Thanks for your review! Happy to hear that the service and pizza impressed!
Food was great. Had the Long bone steak and it was very flavorful. Veggies were great and the potatoes were suburb. A little spendy but worth it.
Thanks so much for your review, we're delighted that you enjoyed the food!
Must try the pizza, the pizza is exceptional. Also they have creative sweets.
Heejung, thank you for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed our famous pizza and "creative" desserts. Hope to see you again!
Food is delicious! The Hot Apricot pizza is amazing!
The food was good. The bench seating was not ideal. They are so tightly arranged it was incredibly difficult to get my mother aged 79 in and out of them. Also our waitress disappeared and that was disappointing.
Thanks for your review. We're happy that you enjoyed the food and we will definitely take note of your feedback regarding the seating and service. We do have traditional seating indoors along with the benches. Please send me a message before your next visit and I will be sure to get you a table by the window with traditional chairs.
Excellent place- magical water views and an amazing menu, cocktails and staff. Loved it!
Everything was perfect, except it got a bit cold after a while because they keep all the doors open.
Glad you enjoyed and we'll keep an eye on the doors! Thank you!
We were very pleased with our lunch at Industry Kitchen and will definitely be returning. The food and service was phenomenal, not to mention the great view of the water. A great place for everything from clients lunches to tourist fare.
They never confirmed my reservation after we sat, so it was as if I never went! Upsetting
Rachel, thank you for your review and we’re sorry that you had this experience. I will send you a DM to get more information.
great service, spectacular view and excellent and fairly priced food.
Thanks for your review, we're so glad that you enjoyed the food and views!
You can’t beat the view. Great place in the summer.
Thanks for your review, we're happy to hear that you loved our views. Hope you see you again!
The waitress was exceptionally rude to my father after he ordered a tea. I guess she assumed he was “just a tourist” who wouldn’t tip well. It was unprofessional and uncalled for. She was icy for the rest of the dinner to us while happily serving the tables around us. I love this spot but this was unprofessional and simply rude.
We are terribly sorry that you and your father had this experience. It's certainly not how we want to treat our guests. I will send you a DM to learn more.
This restaurant is gorgeous! Right on the East River with outdoor seating. The food was amazing as well! Highly recommend the sweet potato and bacon pizza.
This was my 2nd time eating here and the experience was better than the first, and my first experience was great!
Good location and great bloody Mary's! Portions were a little skimpy vs. cost.
The location is great with a very pretty view of the river plus we had a great server but the food was meh. We had pizza, salad and the cauliflower all of which were disappointing.
Lovely location by the water with great views. However sitting "outside" would have been very noisy due to the nearby heliport. Our res was for 2pm - after the lunch rush so there was space available inside, and not too crowded where wanted to sit. Service was pleasant enough and competent, if a little distracted. Menu and drink choices were good, tasty and sufficient, prices as expected for the neighborhood.
I was searching for a brunch spot with a view, not too fancy, but more than a diner. Industry Kitchen was perfect from the view of the water to the smiling hostess then on to the prompt service and the lobster omelette!! So good-- planning on going back next Sunday too.
We had a very, very difficult time finding the location - we suggest you do not use the google map available in the Open Table app as the location was inaccurate and we walked about 1/2 mile too far and then had to turn back and were late for our reservation. Luckily, the service at this place is great and the young woman I kept speaking to on the phone as we tried to find the restaurant was very patient and happy to see us when we finally arrived. The location is actually lovely - right on the water and a perfect spot if you are down in the south street seaport area. They have a full bar (we really needed a drink after our very long walk) and we enjoyed our appetizers (grilled octopus and blistered shishitos). My husband was pleased they had a gluten free (and vegan) pizza option. In the warm weather I would bet it is fabulous to be able to sit outside.
Left waiting for 20 mins after OT booking. Food was average.
The food at Industry Kitchen was good. We had brunch and there was much to choose from. Our omelets were fine. The star at this restaurant is the view! We ate outside and it was a beautiful day. Enjoyed watching the ferries and just taking in the fresh air and sun. Service was attentive and friendly. I would go back and recommend it to friends.
The hostesses had attitudes but the food, service and location were great. Right on the water. A little pricey but it’s the city.
Beautiful views. Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Industry Kitchen is in a beautiful location on the seaport. The ambience was very lovely. We had a beautiful view of the water. The service was quite good, from the waitress to the bussers. Unfortunately the food was just not good. We ordered 4 different pizzas & the crust was very dry & thick. It tasted like a cracker. They were also pretty bland & lacking flavor. The drinks were excellent, although pricey. I probably would only return for drinks and maybe an appetizer.
Really yummy brunch in a great location! Server was prompt and there when needed, but otherwise left us to catch up. Especially impressed because the restaurant opens at 11am and they seemed to fill up a large restaurant right away - and we still got our food (everything correct, at the same time, at the correct temperature) in great time. Highly recommend!
View is beautiful of the Seaport and for people watching. Ate pizza with alligator popcorn. Delish and innovative. Value priced. Great place for dates or larger get together. Will definitely return.
I decided to try this restaurant as it was close to a boat trip we were taking later that evening. From the start the staff we encountered were not very friendly. The food tasted good and had a nice presentation, however, it was way over priced with very small portions. Our server made us feel very unwelcome. The water glass I received had someone’s lipstick still on it. I asked my server for a clean one and didn’t even receive an apology...she actually seemed bothered that I made the request. It just was not a good experience. The unisex bathrooms also was not something my 78 year old mom appreciated.
What a great find! It was a beautiful day so wanted to dine on the water. Great drinks, food and views. Would definitely recommend!
Good view. Food is ok. Environment is nice. Great for summer to have brunch
